I would like to see Hurley as the new Jacob, but I figure Jack is more likely to take over. I was convinced after his dynamite talk with Richard and his intense ocean staring at the lighthouse. He seems to be falling into the role.

No one else mentioned Jacob going all kung fu on Richard? That was bad-fuckin-ass. Really could have saved trouble if he just went ninja on Ben too.

He was probably just pissed that they messed up his statue.

Every Tuesday is the best Tuesday ever! Next Tuesday is going to eat my brain. In a good way.

I never looked at it like that, maybe Jacob was a new recruit around then. Though he was very stoic when he talked with MIB on the beach.

I think he was just pissed that everyone on the ship was a dud, that everyone had evil intentions in them. Which was confirmed when he saw the last survivor coming to gut him.

Im pretty sure Jack is the new Jacob... Jack was a pure Hero in season 1&2... the ideal man!
He said he has returned to the island so that the Island can Fix Him, as he was a broken shadow of his former self.... Jack is going to be the 1st person to make up his own mind (Jacob was saying, you have to figure it out for yourself) Jack is doing this!!!..
Hurley is a candidate... but i cannot ever see Hurley running the island...hes too much of a cluts. Richard Alberts job will suit Hurley...but Richard Albert is still here, so unless he does leave Jacob and work for the MIB, he still has his job!

Jacob & MIB are themselves, Lock is now who? sayid is now who? Claire is now who? these 3 have all been possessed by??? this show has me in knots.....? l

Personally, I'm not buying into heaven or hell. We're all the result of our upbringing and Richard was brought up with an 18th century religious world view. Heaven or hell are just the terms he thinks in.

I'm rooting for Hurley. To do what? I don't know. He's just the only one I care about anymore.

He bought it at auction. Last season, maybe earlier? How it got to the auction house, I don't recall.

The journal was found by pirates I believe, then eventually sold to widmore at auction. Not sure if it fell off the ship or if some pirates managed to actually visit and escape the island with it. Maybe Jacob was off visiting someone and brought it as reading material, only to forget it at the crapper.

BudFather: John Locke is dead. MIB assumed the form of John Locke, so MIB is John Locke. Sayid and Claire, we're still not certain if they're even possessed. It's likely Sayid isn't all himself, but I think Claire was mostly just manipulated into her current craziness.

Somebody told Jack (i think the Eastern fella at the temple) said that Sayid has been infected (evil growing within him)... as well as his sister (which we all now know is Claire)... she does seem more deranged than sayid, so she might just be insane now, or this might be an effect of the infection growing inside her... BUT something lives inside Sayid...as sayid also died, and re-awoke as a weirdo....
Claire knows that Locke, is no longer Locke, she introduced him to Jin as ' Not Locke, this is my friend'... This made me think, she definitely knows more than shes letting out.

Richard asked for the deal from MIB. Did he finally give up his freewill to MIB? Im wondering if he can take back the request the way MIB was looking over the vally where Richard and Hurley were talking.

I too vote for hurley. He is the only one who can see Jacob and dead people. Hurley is the man!! atleast I hope so!

How great and out of the ordinary would it be to have a fat dude be the hero!!

If we weren't at war with the middle east right now, I'd hold out some hope that Sayid was going to somehow do an about-face and come back and save the day, but I doubt a popular, prime time american television show would dare to make the Iraqi the saviour.

But he is still my boy. Even if they do horrible things to him and his character development in the next 7 episodes.

Remeber, Hurley's been stashing food since the beginning. They even did an episode or three on that subject. But, yeah, in "real" life, you'd expect him to at least harden up.

Also keeping in mind Hurley was only on the island for a couple months, then off the island for 3 years. Now he's only been back for a while, after traveling through time and a short stint of COOKING for the Dharma folk. I think his weight is damn accurate.

Hurley will be the new kid with bloody arms that runs through jungles.

I had couple weeks brake with Lost, but Ive been watching 2 shows in a row for last 3 days! Just watched episode 8 and 9.
Looks like this final season is gonna deliver!

Have you noticed that there's no more secrets or mysteries or lies in the show? Everybody tells the truth right away! no more holding back. We are getting detaljed answers to mysteries that started like 5 years ago! LOL
MIB/Jacob thing is folding out nicely. Now we know who smoke monster is and what he and Jacob is about.

Smokemonster has Looks of Locke now, before monster looked like MIB. Claire is not Sayids sister, she's Jacks sister. Monster also used the body of their father Christian to convince Claire to join him (in some past season).

lol i think you miss read my post... we all know Locke is Smoke and MIB.... probably also the Polar bear and Pheonix.....shapeshifting, and all the other random people you see pop up in the Jungle..... Jacks Dad, Will...ect... he does this to manipulate the acts of people on the island.

MIB is the Evil trying to escape the bottle... He keeps talking about leaving the island...But is stuck there.

Jack has performed a miracle... correcting an irreversible spine injury. Surely he has what it takes to be the keeper of the island... Hurley is a wimp... altho he is funny and innocent.
time will tell..... How many episodes are left? Im gonna cry when it ends.....

Next weeks episode i have to watch right away. I could keep brake in the beginning when things wherent so intense yet. + I finished Heroes S4 (this show is getting worse every season IMO) and watched Fringe S2 (same producer as in Lost, but is much done more tongue in cheek style, pretty good if your stoner, scifi-freak and want to turn your brain off for a while
