Fwiw, if you don't reply to the first form within 2 weeks they mail a second one. The visits only start after you ignore the second form.

Ha! As if your vote means anything, census or not. A single Congresscritter already represents up to a million people. You're deluding yourself if you think your vote matters. Action and advocacy is what matters, not pressing some digital box on a rigged computer every few years or filling out a form from the Feds once in a while (that you paid for). It is notions like that that lead people to political apathy and laziness.

fill it out and send it in,we can only control what we can see and nothing that we can't. sure contractors and many other employers will hire these guys cause they don't need to fill out tax form's for them, insuring them on the job's they are working on ect.,ect. I worked around my fair share of illegal and legal citizens for a good part of 15 yrs. and it suck's. When your doing the same job as the guy next to you, getting paid the same amount an hour but bringing home less. Cause he has no federal,SS,state or local taken from his pay now how fair is that? if they are working here on a visa for 5 yrs. they pay no federal,or SS for that 5 yrs. then have the option to stay and file for citizenship or go back an file for either an extension or to apply for a new visa,or just stay in our country until they are caught an deported. We as a whole are letting this happen to us by not filling these simple forms out, If the government really wanted to know about you they have a lot better ways about gathering info than a simple census form.

I live in redneck country, tiny assed northern MN & yet with prodding from me & MPP my representative voted 'YES' for medical cannabis in MN. sell yourself short GrowTime not me, my vote and say so count where I'm from, can't always get my way but at least I'm heard.......


my local representative (a MN congress woman) has no more than about 15,000 residents in this rural district. I/we vote @ all levels.

No, it means that all that is accomplished by not filling out the census is an even more broken gov't system that is less efficient and wastes more money.

I don't understand how people can be so opposed to the gov't, citing it as ineffective, yet they actively cause the gov't to be ineffective by not submitting data that is used in an effort to better the country.

No matter what one thinks may or may not 'better' the country, we need data that is correct.
Now, someone who tries policy that the anti-census-er happens to support might not be applied correctly because the gov't is missing data.
What sense does that even make. It's all about being rebellious just for the feel without fully considering the long term impact, that's what I see.

this is a tool for the feds ,patriot act. whenever they want information it will now be a one file says all instead of them going thru public records and doing leg work! why do i have to do a census when i have already done it with the town i live in? isnt that census i did public record? the one i was sent is a bible of questions! how much $ money i make how many places i may sleep at? wtf does this have to do with census? this is a sly way of the government to gather all your info for easier access, that is what it is!

My point was that incorrect census data amplifies negative effects of gov't.

I find it amazing that people think they are doing us all a good deed by witholding or falsifying simple data that gives everyone an idea of what we're working with, no matter what the policy. It's like they think they're ahead of the game by screwing up the gov't, but what about when the gov't is acting in their favor (this includes through limiting gov't involvement in people's lives). All it's gonna do is throw that off. What's the point, why not isolate the speculatory nature of all this crap and just try to get good data, then go off it. After all, why are we trying to skew data, we need that data to guide our policy no matter what line of policy you side with, no matter what level of involvement the fed or state gov has with your life.

You don't go into science or statistics trying to 'guess ahead' and throw your data off to satisfy whatever goal you want.
It's the same with gathering info on our country.

I really can't see what good can come from falsifying data.
You're screaming about gov't inefficiency and waste while effectively creating it at the same time.

By not performing your civic duty you all make us look bad. If you ever get in trouble the government will use you as an example. "Marijuana makes these burnouts so lazy they can't even fill out a simple census!" All you do when you don't cooperate on the most basic levels is add fuel to the fire for persecution of our kind.

You people who don't comply and fill out your census are negatively reflecting on the the cannabis plant. Cannabis will be demonized by association with you, just like it was by association with Mexicans in the early 1900s.

If you truly want to help our cannabis cause and make our voices matter and heard, then you will actively participate in your government, both local, state, and federal.

I want to ask an honest question: are you illiterate? Did you read that "damn BOOK?" If you bothered to look, it is 10 questions on 1 side of the page. The back talks about the census, and the other pages are just to write down the number of people in your household. I already turned mine in, but I believe after about person number five it stops asking the 10 questions entirely and just asks for names and ages.

A book of questions? Unless you have 11 kids, it would take you 5 minutes.
