Yea? Well according to a buddy of mine you and I must be easily impressed cuz it's barely purple with SHITTY resin production. I know this is far from the truth and will have pics up soon cuz the pheno A cut I have in the tent is getting chunky! The tops are starting to swell up and are bigger than the other strains so far and boy oh boy does it smell like straight grapey ass purps! You know like a Purple Kush or Grape Ape nug that's been curing for 6months or so? That's how she smells in flower..... UPDATE!!! While I was typing I got a knock at the door and it was my new samples from Cutting Edge Solutions!!! I love that company man, I just got qt bottles of the new 100% Organic additives Solar Gaia, Sugaree, and G-Rex aka Grandpa Rex's Rooting Solution not to be confused with rooting hormones cuz you want to use it with a gel or Dip n Grow and it gives more roots.. The Solar Gaia is supposed to create a healthy structure of biological life for the rhizosphere and Sugaree is the first all organic sweetener with a 0-0-2 NPK rating.. I'm pretty excited to get this stuff now cuz I can use the Sugaree next week!

Yeah from ur pics she looks nice, tight node spacing too. I know exactly what u mean by the Purp Kush/Grape Ape smell u mean, and ohh how i love it. I just ordered some Sweetest Cindy99 by DutchGrown today which is Brothers Grim c99 X Spice Of Lifes Sweettooth #3. Supposed to be fuckin nuts! Both parents are from f1 stock too, so there true!
Heres some Big Bud at day 36, and theres two PPPs at day 30, but its hard to deciefer them. Again, in 4 gallon airpots (I now have the same type of pots, and same flower bulb as you!)
Only reason i got the Big Buds in the start was i had nothing vegging and didnt want to waist time with having males in the garden so i wanted a good yeilding femenized strain. Now that i have a decent pheno of that cloned, along with two differnt phenos of PPP which is really good, i am starting to expand into the good genetics what i can devote time to sexing out.

NICE! Yea I need some batteries cuz things are going crazy in my tent now!!! My DJ Short Blueberry is a week behind everybody else and looking like she's gonna be taller than the rest. The Double Purple Blowfish ladies are off the hook and full of cola's and same with the Oregon Grape pheno A and it's getting FROSTY!! Like I knew shew would and it producing more smell then all the other strains so she's gonna be tasty... I'm at 25 days of flowering by the way almost a full 4 weeks and next week I'm hitting em with 14ml of Liquid Kool Bloom for the first day of week 5 and 6 to match his Powdered Kool Bloom Slam and I've worked out the nutrient profile for those interested I'll be making a thread for it...

So I decided to try to add a little life to this "air pot" thread for my first post. This was my first experience with these pots. The pots were def worth every penny. I vegd for the same amount of time as always before, 10-14 days and my girls were out of control. these things seriously cut veg time by 40-50% for me. not to mention within week one I had stalks fatter than ever before. about a 50% increse. My roots were obviously happier than they have ever been before, and I have done this same strain (purple kush) and same nutrient run multiple multiple times. Things got so big this round I had to get rid of a good amount of the plants. along with the bigger happeir plants came a healtheir yield, so now I am now cutting way back on my actual plant number because my yield was bigger with way less plants this time. I am going to try to put a few pics on here dont know if it will work because i never have but theres more in my album. hope this helps let me know if you have any questions... oh yeah and the medium is a soiless (coco) mix. the same as i used before the air pots... OH YEAH these are 2 gal and i used 3 before..

I should be trying some out for some Chem D x NL. I plan to make the transplant next weekend. Taking them from bags to Air-pots....I HATE BAGS!!!!

I just started using these airpots with a soil mix. Still early & learning, but they look great on your posts - very encouraging!

Then don't get Smart Pots cuz they are just like the bags but a lil thicker lol.. And for reals I swear that's a Prop 215 friend of mine just not saying it cuz that's the SAME shit he's been telling about his "PKs" since he started the grow with Air Pots lol If so that's dope cuz he ran quite a few and if the yield has gone up with less that makes me feel better about wanting to run 5 bushed out monsters on a 2x2 table instead of the 9 I have going but still not sure. I need to learn to have better patience when vegging and wait till they are 10" to top them so the have their energy built up and don't stall much after being topped...

I hear ya!! I managed to top my plants about a week after I THINK they needed it this time, and they have responded with soooo much vigor and growth. Although, I know this to be a strain trait...not all like it. But there is something to be said for topping "on time" as far as the height of everything later in the game...
Those Air-pots are the way to go....looking awesome in here man!!

Glad to see your success with the Airpots Thunderkel! I used those same size AP's my first grow and loved them. I went with the SmartPots for my next grow and also my current, but only because I wanted 6 plants in the flower room (funny, I only have 4 though...lol). The AP's are too big to fit 6, I can only squeeze in 4 of those baby's. I think I'm going back to the AP's next run though.

Hey Thunder, looking good! You like those Air Pots alot? Does it dry the Coco out alot faster? How often do you need to water? I think you may be adding perlite? Have you seen an increase in growth over straight Coco? I have a few seedlings in Coco, and 1 cup has a small amount of perlite mixed in....it is doing the best. They all look great, but that one's roots exploded faster and the top is also bigger.

Going to veg under the 250 HPS in a GL60 til they start getting bigger...then put under 400 W HPS in a GL80. Yea Mr Bojangles here did a test between coco and coco/perlite and the perlite mix had a yield increase by 15% I believe it was.. Either way the straight coco lost so I like the stuff I use which is Ready Gro Moisture Formula from Botanicare and it's the nicest coco mix I've come across plus it has mycorhizae and trichoderma mixed in and humic acid. The Moisture Formula is for 1 watering daily and they have a Areation Formula with more perlite that is for 4-6 watering daily but I like MF . But I've been thinking about some shit after reading about Kyle Kushman aka "The Wizard's" garden in the March 2009 HighTimes that damn garden of gigantic Grape Ape plants mad me want to try out what he does with Promix but with the bags of Ready Gro. He mixes 2 kinds of Promix 50/50 and one has 15% perlite (like ReadyGro Moisture Formula) and the other has 30% perlite(like Ready Gro Areation Formula) which he says gives him the perfect soil density claiming better root growth so I wonder if it would make a difference with the coco what you do you guys think?

LB#5's day 29 of flowering coming back slowly from a Mg deficiency and I think it's taking a while cuz I've already dropped the Micro so there is no N in the mix but I've noticed a few of the bottom leaves that looked like these top ones have geened back up so I hope they are back on track I'd REALLY like to see this fully done under HID!!!
