Trimming my crop with the Twister Trimming Machine

That pic looks awesome. If all goes well I will be getting at least one more Twister so I can go back to back at one of my farms. I will probably do it at my other place too if I can get enough power for the second vac. I think I need a bigger genny. I can't wait to see how that teflon coated tumbler works.

We've made numerous minor improvements that many users would not even notice (grease port on blade bearings for heavy users; more precise blade adjustment components; narrower frame to allow easier passage through doors; redesigned blade motor plate, to name a few...) but which, taken together, provide increased performance and serviceability. What we're most excited about is the new Teflon-coated tumbler and the fully upgraded, watertight and thermally protected electrical system. And, of course, there's the low profile vacuum which makes transport much easier.

We'll be adding more info to our website in the near future. In the meantime, we've uploaded more photos of the machine to our site if anyone's interested (We've also got some pictures coming that show how the Twister can be placed end-to-end for those big timers who need to trim more, faster - something you might be interested in trying, humboldtlocal...).

Send one this way and I'll be your spokesman.... :D

I tried to find that Sonny Bono tree at Heavenly in Tahoe this winter but they don't have it marked.
Hey Rez, a friend is moving out here who is one of your devotees. He is bringing me a bunch of your seeds from your last couple releases. I am excited to see what they can do here in the Cali sun. Maybe it will turn into a "commercial" for your work. I'll want to pick your brain about them once they get here. I am going to be starting a new outdoor thread here soon.

How about a GH / OD Headband or SourD cross that doesn't larf so much OD
& REALLY stacks/colas up ??
Still tops on everyone's list ....indoor, OD or GH .

But that would make Rezdog an OD seed breeder then (not a bad thing !)
and next thing ya know he would be moving to NorCal & buying 40acres ! :)

How's it going HumT? Will send ya some pics of the latest finished OG ....
and some sourD .

best regards

:smoke:I will buy a twister soon, around how many lb an hour can this do if used right?
also do you get any kind of hash from the blades and is it easy to scrape/clean? I loved scraping the trim pro blade and smoking some fresh hash.
this will be one of my future investments thanks humboldtlocal for sharing you co-worker with everyone:tiphat: I will let you know when I finally get it...

Think an average of 'bout a lb every 15-20mins is pretty doable (dry not wet LB's !) just going at a leisurely pace . Occasionally , might do a second pass when i feel neccessary to get more complete trim . I found having som frends do a sit down & quick "finish manicure" was in order after drying on the racks , but all taken into consideration the savings over a full hand trim was about 1/4 the cost, done easily in 1/4 the time . What trimmers would do in 4-5 & even 7 days , is now done in one !:dance013:

It is essential to have the 2-3000psi power sprayer to cut all the resin build up off & clean the blades . As the machine breaks down fast & simply this is done in 5mins & a quick light sharpening & readjustment of the blades is also done in just 1min. Here lies the beauty of this baby , is the sturdy construction , quality of the steel blades & EZ sharpening feature with removal & reassembly a breeze!;)

* Since we've been lubricating the tumbler with spray OliveOil , scraping the tumbler for hash isn't part of the bargain nor really that appealing, lol ! It seems a bit of a shame to lose all that trim for hash makin but haven't solved that problem nor was to worried about the loss . The fresh cut leaf that is accumluated in the hamper would have to be spread out thoroughly , dried seperately , then suppose some oil or butters could be made ?

best regards

Good response MR, hope you are well my friend. The only thing I would add is that we were able to dry a lot of the shake out on the dry racks to make bubble with. It is chopped up pretty finely but it makes great bubble. I even know some people who just threw it directly in the freezer wet and then made bubble with it. I really need a walk in freezer to store all of mine this year. :)
Here are some shots I took yesterday of the sunset and my 1.5 million gallon pond.

I have never had to use it for irrigation because I have a rocking spring that has taken care of my needs. Hopefully this year, if all goes as planned, I will need to use all of it.:dance013:

I got to see the 2010 Twister at Trim Scene Solutions today. It is sweet! I thought the teflon on the tumbler would be thick and make more cutting distance between the buds and blades but it is nicely coated on there. The new electrical box seams like it is very heavy duty and water proof. Much more industrial looking than on my older models. Sorry about the poor phone pics.

Hey Humboldtlocal

I must admit that looks to be the most amazing trimmer on the planet!

On another note if you don’t mind I was wondering if you could elaborate a little bit more on you “turkey bag” curing?
I understand they are on racks for 3-7 days depending on condition of the buds then into the oven bags. OR I maybe misunderstanding altogether and you are drying on racks then into turkey bags ala paper bags to get it dried just right. What they went into for curing purpose I am uncertain but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t glass, maybe ziplocks? Below I had a few questions and I would greatly value your feedback.

1. Is there even the slightest funky taste/aroma from drying/curing in those bags?

2. How long were you drying/curing in those oven bags before they go into that amazing MINIPACK vacuum machine?

3. Did you use any other large Tupperware or igloo coolers methods in the past to cure and find it unsatisfactory?

Thanks in advance man, I’m just hoping to better educate myself from guys that have been there and done that.
