ya vince i know exactly what you mean when you say they are taking forever to fill out. seems like that is always that way for me, but they look great for a 12 week strain.

thanks man their starting to put on the resin now , and as for smell there kinda like sweet grapes with almost a hint of pepper , they smell pretty good to be honest....
their starting to fill out but they have about 5 weeks left to go , so i'm hoping they fill out like i was told they will , but i'm sure they will they came from a very reliable source....

Very nice work there Vince. Your patience will be rewarded no doubt. I'm from Australia and I can tell you that there are many growers here that have no idea when to cut, and more often they don't let their girls flower for long enough. I hate the taste of immature buds, when I harvest everyone freaks out about how good my weed is. The difference is I let them go until their ready. I've subscribed to this thread and can't wait to see your final results. Good luck mate....!!!

It's the same story here also commercial growers chop their product too early and usually the result is a nasty green tasting pre mature crap.....imo..............
this crop is gonna go 11 or 12 weeks until it's fully finished...no pre mature buds come out of my houses.....

thanks nad i have changed the food a little, lowered nitrogen and blasted them with some Phosphorus and sweet leaf......i also have been double watering in between feeds , they were drying up after 2 days so i had no choice to double water...........

but besides that the jacks are filling out gradually and starting to frost up a bit......i just wish they were finished i could really use the extra cash right about now, bah in due time........

Yeah we are in the same boat but im only 4 weeks flowering... I could really use some cash as well lol hard work will pay off for both of us I hope my jack flashes are slower than all my other strains but Im hoping they will smoke better and are worth the extra 2-3 weeks.

i'm sure the work will pay off for both of us , but it sucks sometimes when your cash is limited and you have a room full of ladies that like to take their time......whatever , i'll get some pics up soon , but to me it dosen't seem to be that much progress , but my buddy tells me different. i guess it's cause i'm in there with em everyday i don't notice that much of a diff....imo...

This is one of the best Jack Herer grows I've seen in a while! I grew out some and found a 13+ week pheno that LOVED Cal-Mag..the yield was not great but the smoke was out of this world! The smell you describe reminds me of that one pheno...I have a few pics, but will only post if you don't mine..I don't like to hog up other threads with my pics...

Why would someone chop their buds early just to flip it? Couldnt they make more money if they waited a few more weeks and had a finished product

in resin and weight production, but i imagine espcially for these jacks...well with jack commercial growers, they can get up to 6 crops a year chopping early but with the m-39 growers they can get 7 crops a year this way , i know a few people that live near a farm area and they harvest every 3 weeks!...(3 housed Dedicated just to pot)

ok i have a picture update today , i started flushing last night and when i was finished i was kinda burnt out so i decided to update this morning....yesterday was day 1 of week 8 for the jacks and i've noticed that the resin almost sparkles in the light and the smell is like grapes mixed with almost pepper/skunky undertones i'm having a hard time narrowing it down......... ok picture time....

Seriously though, awesome grow you have goin! from set up, to perfectly healthy plants, you know what you are doin! I will be very interested in final weight. How many are in there again? Are they calmag whores or light feeders in general?
