Hey DB I didn't realize this was your first scrog. Don't get freaked Bro. Over the course of a few days, cut out all fan leaves that you can't tuck under and are shading bud sites. There will be a LOT! Don't worry about it. Any fan leaves below the screen that are even slightly yellow from getting little or no light should also be removed.
That helps a bunch. I pressed down on the top to see if it would compress a little, was gonna tie it down but the trunk and main stems laughed out loud. Way too strong to budge and I don't want to mess up and break anything. Thanks again.Next time you plan a scrog, this is how you fix your screen problem. drill a hole through the bottom-center of your container, put an eye bolt through the hole, and tie a small rope to the the eye bolt. Transplant, and pull the rope up next to the main stem of your plant and when you're ready to scrog, tie it to the center of your screen.
I lean towards 1 plant/sq ft, and individual screens. Hence the "scoop away scrog" LOL
Hope that helps. Stay safe n stoned Bro
Not much underneath to yellow but I'll keep that in mind. I'll also try the snip n tuck, thanks.
I wish I'd kept an estimate of how many fans I've removed. 3 to 4 days later and another batch goes. I'd estimate 5 to 6 inches of growth above the screen, almost 84 squares of tips and many squares with multiple tips. I bet I could chop a couple hundred fans over a week, easy. I'll try not to get too carried away, lol.
Good, Like I said, don't get freaked by how much greenery you keep taking out of your flower room. LOL. You can also just trim the fans down like you do when you clone. Yeah, it's way to late try to anchor your plant down now. I forget who taught me that trick.
