Secret Jardin Grow Lab Club! Wattage doesn't matter!

Would have used black and white plastic if I had any. Now it's just a piece I cut from a black garbage bag. Duct tape rules.

Oh yeah... One thing. This only works if you have your ventilation turned off during dark hours.

No, and I can't really, due to extracting from my veg tent into my flowering tent! It's already getting too hot in there, and that would cut the exhaust to next to nothing on that side. :(

I might do a little experimentation over the next week. I have a couple of wimpy S&P TD-100's laying around from my cabinet experiment. I'm going to try to disconnect the veg->flower tent exhaust, and just use the S&P to vent directly into the closet instead. I might try adding the other S&P as an intake fan on the flower tent, and see how much of a difference that makes.

I already have my A/C, and hope to get it up and running before the end of the month. I have to. Fortunately, we have another cold spell arriving about now, but I'm freezing in my own house! Thermostat at 66, closet is around 68 (lights off), but with lights on the temps rise to the low 70's and the tents are in the upper 70's!!!

I need to rework my venting, install the a/c, and things will be lovely.

Til then, it is what it is.

Using the small fans will make a big difference I bet. If your house is cold it just means you need more tents for the other rooms!

Most people have ventilation on 24/7 for scrubbing air. The round intakes can be lightproofed and have fan run 24/7. I dont even open the square intakes, tent stays perfect without them open. Might help someone tho.

What are people using to lightproof the 6" round ducts? Does the black drain/waste/vent pipe fit the openings in the tents? That with a couple of elbows would likely do the trick if it fits.

hooking the trellis onto the poles works great. then you just slide up to adjust to plant height. best way to stake imo.

Oh how I wish. But macro-stealth will do for now. =)

I just use regular 4" flex duct, shaped as an S and held in place with aluminum tape. Very ghetto. Wish I had known about the black duct and will probably replace with that sooner rather than later.

Pimpin setup! Dirt and a bamboo stick for me. :)

Bork Bork Bork,

For surely get the black Flex-Drain (solid), it works awesome. I have black panty hose on the ends for prefilters. Just set up another tent yesterday, took 5 min to lightproof completely. Regular foil duct still lets light out/in, but will work if the room your tent is in is dark enough. Check Lowes or order online, good luck!!

Well, it's not a secret jardin. Its a GL120 from Growlabs. 600w powerhouse ballast & yeildmaster 6" air cooled hood vented by a 6" 400cfm inline fan. Do I qualify? :bigeye:

Not a big deal at the moment, the tents in a dark closet in a dark room. But I'll do it anyways.

Cool thread

I have a DR120 due to arrive today. I have a 400w CMH going inside a SS2 hood, modded Stanley and Can 2600 all waiting for the delivery truck to show up :dance013:

Got my DR120 all set and running. I will say this much, this thing is a lot bigger than I thought it would be! After a whopping 24 hours of use, I compiled a little list of pros and cons.

Pros:

Strong material. I put this thing together in a VERY tight area. After pulling and yanking to get the actual "tent" on the frame, I found it to be very strong. Many snags and tugs revealed NO rips or tears.

Easy setup. Even in the small, cramped area I worked in, I had it setup in probably 30 mins tops!

Cons:

Wire tie-ups. A few tabs or loops sewn to sides in various spots to hold powerstrips and/or fans and such would be a nice touch

Intake filter. I like to filter my intakes. Helps keep equipment and plants clean and tidy. I had to ghetto tape a filter over the one square intake I'm using

Light traps on intakes. This is a no brainer that should have been addressed. Unless this is kept in a dark room, I see plenty of issues with light leaking into the tent. Not good if your flowering. Can you say "hermie"

All-in-all, I like it a lot. WAY more room than the closet I was using. My modded Stanley, on low, keeps the tent at near ambient temps, maybe 2 degrees F over. That's pulling through a Can 2600, Super Sun2 hood, and out through the roof exhaust, using only one of the lower square intakes, WITH a filter over that!

Think I could easily run a 1k with the addition of opening another intake port, and cranking the Stanley on high, maybe even medium!

Well worth the $185 FO SHO!

Awesome I just found this thread and I believe I have the qualifications to be part of the club.
Grow Lab gl120(4x4x6.5)
SS2 hood
600w eye hortilux
400cfm inline exhaust connected to hydrohut goblin carbon scrubber.
booster fan for light cooling

I got my SS2 hood before the tent and I am considering getting a yield master supreme for a more uniform coverage area. Sound like a good idea?

Welcome to club guys!! Glad you came I just LOVE my DR80 and I'm upgrading my setup a lil bit after harvest. I'm getting the Botanicare 2x2 Flood Table and 20gal res which I will have on a E&F system with 1gal Smart Pots cuz you can't do that with Air Pots. Then I will do a cycle after that with Drip Irrigation and Air Pots to figure out which one I yield best with and get the best quality possible in my setup. I will also be adding a Co2 system too! Lots of goodies to come this year, and I'm on top of my grow like a pro!! No more mistakes or being lazy, hand water and feed 3x a day then flush on the 3rd watering every 10 days like what!! My shit is gonna be the super dankity dank dank dANk! LOL k I'm done being a goof and will be updating all my threads today with new pics so stay tuned...
