Still, to truly make the show better they could have made Jack a little less unreasonable and hotheaded. Additionally, Charlie was unforgivably annoying. The story line is/was first rate, but the character development left me a little nonplussed.

true that!

Jack is totally hit or miss with me lol, just like every other character on the show and...get this...every other person in real life, lol :joint:

its a very accurate portrayal of people in my opinion lol...annoying :joint:

Of course, but it doesn't have to be either/ or.
Good writers make characters that the viewer can identify with - not necessarily agree with. Jack's unreasonable grudge against his father gave him serious character defects. Almost every important decision he has made came from an unbalanced emotional state, rather than logic or reason.

Also, in real life I don't know how many people would be just milling around the beach looking for a "leader." His only qualification for leadership seems to be because he is a doctor. But would you follow a rash and emotional leader like him?

Yes, I am nitpicking and all in all it has been a very entertaining show.

But if you want to watch a great show then tune in for Dexter.

didn't you guys hear about when they first aired those numbers? lotteries all over the world were getting TONS of people playing those numbers... people STILL play those numbers a lot, apparently :joint:

i'm not a lottery kind of guy, but if i was, i'd probably use the numbers as well :joint:

they had that special sneak preview for like 10,000 people in waikiki a few days ago, and they projected it on a big screen on the beach, and i guess a bunch of people recorded shitty quality video of the first episode

I stopped watching a couple of years ago. Enjoyed the show, but felt the creators/writers were fucking with me, not being fair. Continuously introducing plot fluctuations without ever explaining stuff.

But I did stumble upon this article in the NY Times the other day, it is listed as an "interactive feature," thought Lost die-hards might find it interesting.

Here is the link:

That character....is it Kate? Ooooh, she's my type of girl. She's probably every man's type of girl...

yeah i DID find the high quality link, but i'm still gonna wait lol!

i understand what you're saying about the writers jerking you around dude, trust me... check out what i found in an article this morning:

Co-creator and executive producer Damon Lindelof is one of the few people who knows how it'll end and what questions will be resolved.

"Our rule of thumb is if the characters who crashed on Oceanic 815 care about it, or if the answer is relevant to them, we're going to answer it," he said. "But if it's a mystery that the fans care about that has no bearing on the lives of our character, we're not going to answer it.

"This is a character-based show. We care more about emotions, motivations and ultimate destinies of the people. We don't care about who built the statue."

THAT sort of pisses me off...
