You probably shouldn't be growing if other people's lives depend on your choice to partake in illegal activity, but that's for another thread.
Feel free to ignore the time honored advice to keep women and growing separate. Why you feel you're above that advice, I don't know. I figure you're a young guy that hasn't been around the block much yet, with lots to learn. But just wait until the woman thinks you're cheating on her or something and then you'll see how wise you feel about ignoring that advice. My avatar was my one instance of letting a woman into my grow environment and while it worked out ok, since she moved to a different state, I'll never do it again. I was advised against it by many, many growers before me that learned this lesson the hard way.
bro I live in BC, not Texas and my family has been growing for more then 20 year and so have many others, this is our economy. Why do you hate on families that grow together, we wouldn't be able to survive without the marijuana industry. Your paranoia is over the top.
Not everyone lives in BC either. Consider yourself lucky that it's a somewhat accepted practice there and you can afford to ignore good advice that applies most everywhere else. I assure you it is not as accepted in many other places, and further, making fun of widely accepted advice is just immature and shows you have a lot to learn about life. I stand fully by what I said and the fact that years later, I too am still here, shows it is GOOD advice. Not everyone is so lucky.

Is growing really worth sacrificing family, friends, life and love? Growers all over the world have wifes and kids its very common.
That's a philosophical question that only the individual can answer for him or herself. It is a risk/reward formula for the individual at that particular time. Keep in mind that to get a woman to the point of being "wife", you must go through a lot of other stages of the relationship to get there, and at any point things may turn very sour. Maybe you haven't seen what an unstable woman is capable of (and this thread is a testament to the increasing general instability) but I HAVE seen it (lived it actually) and considering how much damage can be brought upon you without any illegalities involved, I hate to think how much can be done when an activity like growing is involved. It is that reminder that allows me to follow the advice to not mix women and growing. YMMV but don't be surprised if that same woman ends up calling the police when she wants custody of the kids.
Btw, I never suggested being a hermit. I suggested not mixing women and growing. Want some booty? Get a hotel. Unfortunately, you will have to involve that person in your "career" at some point otherwise.
Thats the thing even though we all wish we could keep it 100% secret from everyone and everybody there is a need to know basis that will happen somewhere down the line. Now I know some growers would not even consider growing in a house they lived in with there family, and there are growers who only grow outdoor on crown land but then there are the guys that grow in there house/shop and have a family now where I live it is very common but maybe its just here?
No, no...it's not. It's common here too.
I think its safe to say everyone has there own rules on relationships and growing, locations and kids and what is said and not said. If you got kids there is a lot more to loose.

Im surprised east coast growers even use the internet and telephones, I don't mention grow anything on the phone. How about east coast cops pulling over growers with finished bagged product must suck big time just trying to move shit, but you know if you live in New York you got a big selection of escorts and your making lots of money growing so I suppose it evens out. There are no escort agencies in the Boonies so your forced to look for serious relationships lmao.

Your chances of getting busted increase drastically. A lot of people do it and it's doesn't become a problem it or maybe they started out growing as a couple. It would be too hard for me to hide in a relationship. The option just never enters my mind anymore.
I know I'm probably not going to marry the next girl I'm with. I can't have kids because I've had chemo. So, I don't really see the rush to get locked down until I'm older. 45ish maybe? 50%+ of the girls are going to be divorced anyway lol.
This is from a single, <30 male coming into growing single, so I've decided no more exclusive relationships until I'm legal.
Like IGT said, rent a room, go out with everyone, bring it back to hotel. I don't drink drive is why I get a hotel anyway when I'm in town.
