OK i want to put together a system for moms run to waist useing cana coco and cana A B new to coco and need some help from somebody with a system like this

Me im going back to handwatering my mums and for flowering run to waste.

Do you have to hand water the moms more than 1 time a day

hey stony how large are your mums and have they always been in coco? drip to waste is the way to go. i use the rubbermaid brute 32 galls for rezs and have a couple of bubble bars that come on with the pump to mix up my nutes a lil. i only water once a day and not too much runoff. i use h3ads formula with gh nutes and never flush until the final 2 weeks or so. what size containers you got these girls in? i like to have at least 3 or 4 drippers per girl to spread the love around. keep us updated i know you're gonna have em dialed.

edit dangit stoney sorry to mess up your thread i see now you are talkin bout keepin mammas in coco, not flowerin some old mamas...im really high on dry sift...i keep my mamas in coco but i dont let em get too old and dont have many problems

Hey i was thinking about setting up something like this, do you have pictures of your drip setup?

How much do you fill your res with?

I hand water my cocos and i swear 16 plants take up a gallon of water EASY each day. if i had 5 in the res i bet only 2 or so would make it back in to the res after draining. Luckily the hydroclay filters most of the nute runoff so it isnt that messy, so i could probably use it instead of flood to waste correct?

i am started some afgani 1 from sinsi seed and am planing on adding som other new clones to the mix when the seedlings get a little bigger and are ready for nutes

depends the size pots you use, i have moms in coco now, drain to waste.. in 5 gal buckets im watering every 2-3 days once there a bit old and you have a bucket full of roots your looking at every other day possible.. i have some that drink more then others

I ran 2 bonsai mums (canna a,b) in 2, 32oz containers on top of a 5gal(maybe an 8gal) rubermaid re-circ drip system in pure canna coco for 2 years before I flowered them out. I would sometimes go 3 weeks without even checking the ph or adding water but usually stuck to 2 weeks for replacing water and every 3-4 days for adjusting ph.

Watering schedule was twice per day in the 18 hours of lights on.

I also would cut 50% of the root mass off every 3 months and re-pot in same container.

I could get about 20 cuts off each every week if I wanted too.

My main problem was trimming them back so often because I kept them less than a foot high maximum.

Never any sign of def.
