I guess anything is possible, it's certainly easy enough to clone. However my veg area temps are around 19/20*C so nothing happens very quickly in there.. I'm always impressed if anything roots in under 2 weeks, I just take a ton of cuts and pick the best ones out

I hear that, sounds like my space but without a 24/7 light it can hit 16/17* C.

Pics look great man, such a lovely variety. :joint:

Amazing what a difference a few degrees makes.. thanks for stopping in, come back anytime!

A minor update..

Everything is going well, if a little behind schedule. I am letting a few plants finish out longer than originally expected, it's all good.
I have 27 of 30 seeds above soil! :jump: I believe that at least 1 or 2, maybe even all 3 of the remaining seed will surface in the coming days.
I've cut and dried a few other plants in the last few days, nothing serious but I took the mini SWT#3 clone, a C99 and a FLO. The sweettooth is just drying now, other two are in jars as of lastnight.

And I've written a little story/smoke report, last night I was pleasantly surprised, and just had to purchase a sack.. of commercial reefer? That's right, I'm not going to talk about homegrown... this is something entirely different

Hawaiian

I picked up some kind herb in the local market this week, and I'm really impressed by the smoke, definitely top notch.

The retailer only knew it as "Hawaiian". Clearly a sativa dominant plant. The pale elongated sugar leaves tease their way around the wispy crystalline buds. The smaller popcorn buds are almost individually stacked calyxes, loosely clinging to each other while the larger and more developed clusters are spongy, malleable and covered in sweet smelling resin. Break open a bud and your nose is treated to a burst of sour lemony perfume, with subtle hints of coffee beans, mild pine and dark forest aromas.

Excitedly, I quickly assembled a group of experienced cannaisseurs, to share in the blessing of new and exotic herbs..

Hawaiian macro

The smoke is a little sour tasting and pungent as it hits your tongue, but it easily passes over the palette, smooth on the inhale and has a clean, pleasant and fruity exhale.

The high is a warming, sociable one, it immediately brought a smile to my face and created a very nice mood for the evening!
Everyone agreed that it was a very nice buzz, which lasted a long time! The conversation just flowed and several harmonious hours ensued. This would be a fantastic herb to bring to a party...

I'm glad to see something so nice on the open market, and it wasn't even expensive!
In fact, if you refer to the old HTMQ prices in 4Season's wonderful "Vintage Cannabis Photography" thread, you might find that the $240 I pay for an ounce of these buds in 2009 is more than reasonable! I know, some of you might be saying "I can grow such and such for less" or "There's no way that it's really Hawaiian" etc, etc. ..but to see this nice of a product in a market saturated with $320 bags of "Hydro" is really quite refreshing.

I could go on about the Hawaiian, but instead I'm going to roll myself a spliff and see what the rest of IC is up to.. I guess that concludes my mornings post so I'll leave you with the standard farewell..

Until next time, thanks for reading - and be safe!!

Thanks T, that style of smoke report more difficult to compose than my average grow update, I'm really glad that everyone is enjoying it! It certainly was my pleasure to photograph and sample the product!

Nice commercial, Che. I actually had a similar story to tell a couple of weeks ago. I got some 'Lambsbreath' from a buddy who sells at least semi-commercially grown herbs. (Local commercial, if you will.)

The O was made up of nice 2-3g nugs, a few 3-4" colas, no shake. The nugs were tight, indica-style but the smoke was anything but. Flavor was tropical/fruity/pine and the buzz was very up, not racy but energetic. Potency was actually excellent (even to us growers who tried it) and it hadn't been kiefed. Finished mine up last weekend.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was as good as my best, but it was better than my worst and very nice smoke.

Mmm that sounds really nice StrainBrain, from what I recall Lambsbreath is supposed to be a very pleasant, mellow high - not overpowering but potent and satisfying all the same. From your description it sure sounds nice! Its amazing what a difference being in "the know" will do for the quality of your supply.. :)
Thanks for sharing brother!

And for those of you that are interested in seeing what Strain Brain and I are up to over in the BOG forum, I'll provide a link to our joint thread The Buddy System Saves Lives, or 'Che & Strainbrain's Sour Lifesaver Extravaganza' You can also find the link in my signature, so check it out from time to time!

Now, I've not got a lot to update but I'll throw up a few pics anyways.. just some quick snaps of the seedlings and a Sour Puss macro from right before the chizop

Sour Puss #6

This shot is a just minutes before the chop.. what a pleasure to trim, and all of the buds are nice and chunky. The main cola is almost the size of a pop bottle.. I'll get a comparison pic once it's dried.

I've got a lot of transplanting and trimming to do, this whole perpetual thing is a lot of work :) SPGxNL's are coming down this weekend, got C99, 3D0, and more coming out too. gonna be lots of buds...

Well until next time, thanks for reading and be safe!!

Cheers Tona! It's all good man now that you're on the up and up I'm sure you'll put something badass together.. I'm sure envious of your setup so I guess the grass is always greener on the other side! Get those beans wet already, they dont get big for a while, should give you an incentive to get to buildin :)

Well peeps I've flipped 8 more plants tonight.. 6 C99#1's, a ZombieVirus#5 and a SWT#3. Once I'd moved around some plants in the flower room I was able to cram them in there.. with the front open this is what it looks like there.. the bags are pretty much all up against one another

Yeah, it's always awesome to have a nice bright growroom to hop into, especially during winter days. Helps to battle the cabin fever during the coldest months too

Nice room shot bro, what are you running for wattage?

Thanks BR :) There's only 1200w in that little tent, it's 2 400W Ceramic Metal Haildes in the AC reflectors, and the batwing has a 400W generic HPS. I still have my 1K but it's not burning these days.

Can you believe that I run 3 400w ballasts of an Intermatic digital timer/power bar? I'm afraid to add any more lights until I get some wiring done, going to put up a power board eventually. It actually works really well for what it is (like $5-10 at Home De Pot)
