Hey bro....sorry about that; you were totally right.....my HydroHut is 3'11. I only have two plants in the tent right now. I did some LST to get the Cheese extra bushy. And, my Himalayan Gold is know for it's side branches having bigger colas than the main one. I am running a 400 watt HPS with the extra spectrum and I have 1 105w CFL for supplemental lighting.

Love my tent so much I bought it a new friend, a smaller tent for just vegging. I wish they had these things when I started doing indoor. It would have made things soooooo much easier. I love being able to have multiple things going on in one room.

New vegg tent with ebb and flow system to stage for the larger tent with Ebb&Gro system.

My grow room is looking like a tent city now, LOL!

Happy Growing.

Just coming up to the end of my first tent grow. I have the 3x3 hydrohut filled with Lavender under a 600 hps. I love this tent so far.

what a really resinous harvest you got from that Lavender man, nice one!

what kinda extraction and/or intake in your 3' x 3' with the 600w man?

you talking serious heat/humidity or nothing a RVK125 or 150 couldn't handle?

Thanks Esskie! Well this grow I only had a 100 cfm venting the tent, but my light is air cooled separately along with another light in a different area. I don't have heat issues in the tent but I did get some bud rot. I think that had a lot to do with me not being very aggressive with the dehumidifier combined with only 100cfm ventilation. I would think that a RVK125 wouldn't be a problem if you used it to air cool your light and vent your tent but I'm not as familiar with the metric system so I'm not sure just how 225 m3/h converts to cfm. I plan to be more aggressive next time and use an 8" inch, 747cfm vortex fan to air cool and vent 2 tents.

Here's a few shots of those buds dried up.

I have a 145 (22sq. ft. @ 4'9" x 4'9") for my current grow. I like it and its working well. Going to add another tent. I think I can just cram a 145L (45sq. ft) in there, but it will be tight. Also thinking of the 120L (31sq.ft.) which would leave me room to move around better in the room.

Anyone have suggestions for an reliable, inexpensive online source of the Growlab tents that is not based in CA? If I have to pay shipping I'd like to avoid the taxes.

I was just thinking about the RH when you mentioned not having heat issues but did get some bud rot, the temp dropping too low at lights out ya think?

looking to pickup an extraction system for a new tent (as in never been used :yoinks:) we were given by a close friend who changed his plans at last minute. we'd like to use it as another small flowering area with a 600wHPS & a DIY F+D system

Btw, I live in Scotland (which I suppose is a part of Europe. :fsu: - not the people, the government/s or N.W.O!) and I still get mixed up with metric so don't beat yourself up on that one lol
I was born before the metric system came into use so can use both tbh but I have probs converting the two is all.

Fyi, the tent I just mentioned is 6' tall by 3' 3" square so has a volume of approx 65ft3.....right? (3.3 x 3.3 x 6= 65.3ft3).
We'd like to be able to use a temp controlled speed controller like this one here so the fans idle during lights off to keep the humidity (RH%) low

Great thread btw people, lets try and make this a trove of grow tent info for tent growers everywhere

Looking into getting a tent, and the Secret Jardin DR80 is the perfect size. Is that the best choice for about that size tent, or is there a better choice? Do not mind paying for quality, needs to be light tight and hold some weight. So what is the best choice out there? Thanks!!

here is my tent:
Homebox L (39in X 39in)
600w dimmable ballast
super sun 2 hood
6in fan + carbon filter on top of the tent (done this way to keep it quiet)
DIY rdwc setup

thanks for all the ideas i got from people in this thread.
That's a nice & neat looking tent you got setup there Kelly, what height is that tent?

we've got a BudBox 39"/1m square here that I'd planned to run a F+D tray in but it fits but a little too snugly. so snugly that it would definitly interfere with air-flow from the intakes at the bottom to the extractor at the top ya know? (got the tray before the tent doh!)

we're now looking at placing the tray on the floor of the tent & possibly an intermittent dripper system? but there'd be no return to rez so back to the drawing board :chin:
I can see some DIY bubbler buckets being assembled & doing em in DWC Bubblers as you are?

we'd planned on a 4'/1.2m square tent, which would've worked a treat with this tray but it came to us from a friend, he practically just gave us it when he heard we were after another small one :ying:

anyway, can I ask what size net-pots you have & will you flower them in that system too man yes?

slowandeasy your question has already been covered in some depth in the thread already but I can vouch for the BudBox
If you go for a Jardin try and not get the 'Street' or S models as they aren't so good quality
things to look for is a good thick cover, pref multi-layer, lined with the silver mylar stuff is better but the white linings do the job
look at how the poles join and the strength of the corner pieces, you don't want it to break if you happen to move it

Esskie,
I read alot of this thread, and I see mixed reviews on every tent to be honest. Just want the best quality, that is 100 percent lightproof and tough. Not sure what the best choice would be, but the DR80 series from all brands are the size I need. Cannot be more than 6 ft high. I do not want to buy a tent that is going to fall apart or leak light. It needs to be strudy for heavy equiptment. So which brand would be best, Secret Jardin, Homebox,Growlab, etc? Thanks

yeah I hear you man,

a lot of the cheaper tents just don't have that build quality and are in need of repair, or even worse, b0rk3d after having been taken up & down a few times

have a look at the Original BudBox, we have one here and the quality of it's holdall bag is better than a lot of tents you see lol

there is a 1.8m high one that sounds like it might suit you if height is a concern

have a look at hg-hydroponics.co.uk or hydrogarden.com, they stock some decent tents

I grow in a DR60 grow tent (24" wide x 24" deep x 55.2" tall) with a 400w HPS/MH air-cooled grow light. My temperatures stay around 75~85 with about a ~40% humidity level.

Fans??

Fans??

Has Anyone any experience of these twin speed S&P TD and/or TT Mixed Flow Extractor Fans at all?

They come with either a switch to change the speed or hard-wired meaning you have to get the screwdriver out to change speeds. Not that fitting a switch would be difficult

for our wee 1.8m tall BudBox I thought maybe a 125mm one might do the job nicely and spend the savings on a good quality Rhino can & acoustic ducting or somethin?

I don't think this is loud?, maybe someone can clarify if this is considered a decent noise level or not for me please? 32 dB(A) @ 3m distance from the fan

I've never seen one in action so have no idea if they are worth bothering with or not if only a small capacity fan is required?, the question of how it performs under conditions of high humidity remains to be seen?
