You continue to inspire brother.

Thanks man, my buddies keep telling me to jump in with both feet, but I'm typically more cautious than that. Argh! At least I have time to plan it and prep it. Good god is it gonna be a shitload of $ to set up, but I figure it will pay for itself the first month, after that maybe I can finally get some cards paid off and put a bunch aside for a house of my own. Gettin too old to be renting I think, lol. I want to own a place before I have kids, and the wife is buggin me about that! ;)

Alright I'm at 56 days now, the purple AK's are just about done, and the Jock Horrors too, just need to give the TW and Mandala #1, and Sharon Stone's another week I think. Still no phone call about an inspection next month, that alone should give me enough time to finish this run and break down.

Started talking to my new apprentice last night, he knows nothing about growing (which I think is good) but he has a green thumb, lots of happy houseplants and a healthy fruit/veggie garden so I can teach him! He'll help me with my setups and once the new basement is running, he'll be the day to day maintenance guy. That alone saves me a ton of time and energy, someone to just make sure everything stays within normal ranges.

After that he can learn how to clone, trim, and change nutrient tanks for me, MAN it's nice having an eager and capable helper!

Yo Lazy!

Whats the news? Hows that Harvest going....I'm guessing you chopped.

Hope all is well.

Hey bro, thanks for checking in, yeah all chopped (3 people for ten hours + 1 Trim Reaper) and done! Waiting for the Purple AK's to finish drying, man that shit is Dense! Not done with weights yet, probably not great, even the big Sharon Stones only gave up about an ounce each (!) I had higher hopes given their size but I thought I had to chop early. Turns out I only have an annual inspection now, so the early chop was for naught.

Just picked up my new babies, they are beautiful purple Mr Nice clones and a bunch of Jackpots (Afwreck X Shiva Skunk it turns out) but I have time to veg them for weeks now, being my last run at my current spot. I'll do more pruning and supercropping this time, and I think I'll try the Black Gold (coco based) soil as well.

That Purple Mr Nice is some cool lookin shit man. I saw some this year outdoors and the stalks are a deep purple. Not the stems the stalks. Heard good things about the Jackpot too. Cant wait to hear your final weigh in. Wanna get something to compare my 8KW to.

Well when I did soil and AN Sensi nutes, I always got about 1.5 pounds per light. I'm pretty much going back to that, since it works for me and always did. Apparently some additional veg time is warranted as well, but I should have some figures soon. Actually, I'm gonna go see if that damn Purple AK is dry right now! :)

This is fucking epic; you're my idol.
:joint:

Hehe thanks man, I don't know if I should be anyone's idol or not, but my idol is Dongle69! She's probably forgotten more than I know about growing, I am just good at setting up grow rooms. ;)

Further proof of my non-eligible status as an idol: lol ;)

Final weight came to 4.02 pounds. I've been pretty pissed off about this of course, but again, I know what I did wrong and I'll list those here:

Fucking coco chips: 90% of my garden was still in the chips, I had to do a second run in them to make sure I gave them a fair shake, and though I think they have their uses, rooted clones just won't root well in them.

Related to above, the chips seem to suck up a lot more nutes than coco peat. The first 2-3 weeks of feeding/vegging the plants were starving, even with 3000PPM food. Crazy!

The purple AK-47 clones grew some bodacious buds (rock hard and purple, picturesque) but did not stretch whatsoever. So an 8" tall plant stayed 8" tall and yielded very poorly.

I also anticipated an inspection so I chopped everything at 62 days, including the trainwrecks and Mandala's which wanted another 1-2 weeks. Oof.

The aforementioned light hood crash probably took about a pound off my end weight.

No big difference between Technaflora Pura Vida Organic and AN Sensi nutes, but the AN side did yield a hair more on the two strains tested (PAK and TW) PVO certainly wasn't worth the extra cost.

Tiny and mislabeled clones at the beginning, I tried to veg them outdoors during a heat wave. Fertigating with a hose-end sprayer worked well on paper, but the chips they were in sucked up all the food, leaving yellowed overwatered plants. Barf. Won't do that again.

Also ended up with 6 strains, where I wanted 1. Hard to fine tune nutes when 3-4 strains all want different things.

Also had a number of heat waves that brought night temps up over 90*

So next run:

No chips, only soil (probably Canna Bio Terra or similar, coco-based soil)
2 strains only (one per tank)
No more heat waves! lol
AN Sensi nutes across the board
Longer veg time, I need 3oz per plant again like I used to get
Better yielding strains

Whew. Depressing, I know, but hey I told you guys I'd be honest with you, for better or worse. Learn from my mistakes and grow better! Hell I'd be happy to grow tiny yields if it helped all of you get 10% more each, what a karma payback that shit would be! LOL :)

Ok I lied there, I have bills to pay and a big new op to finance, so I do need to get back to my normal system. I just can't stop experimenting!

Grow on folks, but don't idolize the lazyman! Hahaha!

Its crazy, our last two runs with 6400 watts yielded about 4 to 4.25 pounds. It gets irritating but u know at the end what went wrong or what u did wrong so the next is always better. As for ur 4 lbs. Thanks!! Now I will not get the chiips i plannes on getting for next run. LOL. I cant wait to see that big one going. or to at least read about updates. Good luck wiht that one man.
