Help pick a substitute for canna, Please??

I'm fairly new to coco, have done 2 runs using canna a+b, pk 13/14. Due to my one and only local shop having issues with stocking canna, I'm wondering if someone can recommend something comparable to Canna as far as simplicity, ease of use, and, of course, price.

Trying to keep it simple, like canna does. One bottle grow, one bottle flower, and one supplement, if needed. Not trying to be a mad scientist mixing eight different bottles.

Thanks in advance

Atami has the same setup.
But Canna A+B is not Grow + Flower... A+B go together, did you not mix them?
GHE (or GH) has Total Grow and Total Flower, very simple high quality nutrients.

RS,

Hey man just curious, did you run the aqua flakes or the coco base?

Looks great whatever you did :rasta:

metamorf,

Yeah I realized I kinda screwed up a/b and grow/flower terms, I followed the feed chart I found on their site.

I used the canna coco A/B with the PK 13/14. And, I forgot I used 2x 200ml bioboost (free from growshop screwup). I can say that I can't justify the price for the bioboost, I didn't really notice much difference in taste from last batch.

I'm happy with the results ( little over 6 O's) for my second indoor try. Did veg way to long, tops were above light at end, but live and learn, right?

Back to my original question,

I remember the shop had hesi, b'cuzz, earth juice, gh product line.... can anybody vouch for these nutrients?

Hesi is pretty comparable to canna. Good quality products.

I can't comment on the b'cuzz or the earth juice, have never used either one.

If your interested in using GH then read the sticky at the top of this forum called "H3AD goes coco". He details his GH recipe for Coco and a lot of people use it and get great results. Best part is it is cheap as hell. Just add an enzyme product like Hygrozyme or something similar so you can re-use the medium and you're all set.

I ve used pure blend pro bloom (soil formula) & PBP grow , with cal mag. A pk 13/14 at 3-5 mil a gal early bloom. a koolbloom late bloom at 100-200ppm.

I've used cns17 grow & bloom. pk 13/14 at 3-5 mil gallon early bloom, a kool bloom 100-200 ppm later in bloom.

Trying canna cogr now, just started bloom.

Of the cns & the pureblend pro bloom, i liked the cns better. Why?, I Feel things where abit heavier at harvest.

For me after running 6.1, 6.0, 5.9, i found phing my bloom feed at 5.8 i have seen best results.

I now ph my veg at 5.4, 800-1000 ppm

1000-1300ppm bloom, dont forget to compensate your tap ppm. running CO2 boost the ppm to 1200-1500, maybe 1600, but then back down and not continually.

Never be inconsistant with feedings, if u change your ph, progress slowly. your ppm should rise slowly, dont go from 800 ppm to 1400 ppm unless you thing they can take it, 800-950,1100,1250, 1400 or so. In my mind i feel the plant likes to know what its expecting, slow gradual changes, consistent feeds.

Hey Bluestar, GH 3 part, all 3 parts, + tapwater = simplicity! No cal/mag needed as long as your tap doesnt have a ridiculously low ppm.

CNS17 coco formula works VERY well in coco & is fairly cheap .

I use Earth Juice. I don't recommend it because it's so tricky to get dialed. In coco, where pH is more critical than soil, it takes a lot of "management" of the pH. Not that I'm so skilled, just a lot of trial and error* that I wouldn't push on others. The end product is great.

For simplicity and quality, BioBizz and GO. Don't overlook the note on the GO feed chart that says to double the chart's recommendation on BioThrive for heavy feeding plants. You mentioned price. Almost anything will beat Canna on price. Good luck. -granger
