I wet vaccum all water out through the controller. Then I pump RO water 0-7ppm into the system, dump in FNB about midway, through some PH up in as well. Somehow 100-120 gallons I just freestyle dump and am always just about deadon. I let it cycle for a couple hours, and make final adjustments. Next day after 24 hours of stabilization I check and adjust if needed, usually I don't. My auto topoff is PH adjusted to 6.0, I like to start around there and drift down. I know I should mix nutrients in a seperate tub but I have never had any problems.

Ahh never thought of using a wet vac! will give that a shot, Cheers :)
i've been using an aquarium pump and some hose so far seems to do the job untill when at the low point..

how often do you change out? do you wait till they have used most of the plain ph'd 6 water in the res?? or do you make adjustments all; the time?

Poopy-you go it, next update they can have a centerfold

technique-
I used to change every 10-14 days. I would recommend that until you get a good feel for her. I changeout usually after a phase.
You can put the wet vac right on the return lines, at least i havent had any problems in either system I ran 12 and a 24.

Ex:

Veg -> Early Flower -> Flower +p/k boost time -> end flower -> flush Every 2-3 weeks basically

Ahh nice well i a doing that already pretty much (its only a 3 bucket system for now till i get the feel for things)

it will generally use the 40L+20L res water or so in a week or so..

good to know anyway, does you ppm drop much over the course? or does it stay rather constant?

liking what I see in your most recent update. Looking quite healthy and fairly vigorous.

On the topic of power plant I have to emphasize: I deeply regret not keeping ahold of the power plant cut I ran about 3 years back.. It yielded twice what trainwreck and sensi star did, all under same conditions. and I'm not exaggerating when I say twice. def my biggest yielder ever. buzz was passable but not top shelf. smell was quite interesting in the pheno I got my hands on; I'd say it resembled chalomine lotion. strong taste of the same. good trichome field. I let mine go about 65 days iirc. seemed like a good sogger but I'd top it if I were to run it in dwc.. which is only way I'd make my meds anyhow..

looking forward to seeing your finished product, will stay tuned.

oh, and i'm somewhat jealous of your perpetuality ;) been wanting to go that route for so long, but, it makes it harder for me to use those magic words: "in compliance"

your seed routine is also pretty much exactly what I wish I could do. but cant. not just yet. I am very, very, very patient however... and it WILL happen.. ;)

now on the topic of moms, and running in dwc...

I have run up to 3 vastly different strains on one 6 bucket system before: rez sour d v3 (oldschool as far as new school goes ;) ) ss ak47 and very berry surprise freebie (uh oh, that might date this grow in question ;) )and while they were vastly different they were able to eat and hang together. the real problem was canopy. this was in fact my first ever grow.

when it comes to selecting cuts in dwc, from seed moms, my personal recipe is to germ, veg, cut, flo mom, and know what I'm getting into before putting cuts into buckets cause for damn sure time is the one thing you can't buy more of and I want to be certain I know what I'm getting myself into before investing the 3 months or so it takes to run it out... been disappointed before, don't believe the hype they say.. or, "trust but verify" as some less popular sources once said ;)

oh and technique, I rather prefer to be lost in obscurity myself :joint:

Your strain testing sounds like fun. Hard getting access to things like that around these parts. What do you look for in a strain more. Production or Potency?

Yeah I am interested to hear how the AKs looked and what you are finding, I am vegging some too and just took cuts, I took some notes on mine and will be posting them soon.

Looking good man and congrats on scoring the sourbubble, I was sitting there at the computer and could have had them but the wife says I ain't got no money right now. :fsu:

Technique-My PPM stays constant or goes up lol, I never underfeed, if I am not dialed in then its safe to guess I am over :)

Two12's-Right on, I am looking forward to seeing if I get lucky witht he 5 PPP seeds. I have seen alot of nice pictures and threads here about her. I am flowering SS ak-47 right now, the seed moms :) I have cuts of each ready to spring into action, I would never fill a bucket with a potiential hermie.

Fireman-hard to say, I like nice yields but potentcy is a must. Flower time is right up there in my choices as well. A little of all three I guess.

LightBug-Sorry to hear that you missed sour bubble, but it is looking like you will get your chance to grab a pack. I got 7/11 F/M ratio on the SS ak-47. I am in week 3 flower, and there is not much variation going on. A couple with a little more stretch then the others. It will be hard to gauge it this time, they don't have enough room and are not close enough to the light. I will still get some smoke off them, but it could be better. I basically am doing a hermie check, and seeing if there is anyone I def don't like, before I run the phenos in the buckets.

Update:

Schnazzleberry #2 is working on its second node, I think I killed one though, accidentially broke its root b4 it popped from the soil. Trying not to beat myself up over that one.

Sour Bubble will be here any day :)

I have full 9 week flowered outdoor white lightning cuts, trying to ressurrect her

Agent Orange should be on its way soon and maybe some BC roadkill (roadkill skunk x deep chunk)

Its day 22 12/12, moving along, cannot wait to get this round out of there and on to the next. Believe it or not, I am a big fan of vegging. I love forming the bush, vegging is my favorite part besides smokin it.

BIG Update!!!

I just ordered a Handy trimmer AKA magic trimmer, tumble trimmer, spinpro trimmer, salad shooter lol

Some very good demonstrations for the product, I will hand trim tops and the corn goes in the trimmer :) No more popcorn trimming!! Took 3 days to tear down my 12 bucket harvest, thats with good help! I am glad I do not have to suffer this room once like that. My gf is a hairstylist, she is a machine! Boy are we excited about having a trimmer like this.

How much did that trimmer run? I find the popcorn to be the tedious part of trimming, I enjoy doing the colas, lol. :)

Hey nice updates, im trying to do the same thing as you but only difference is that im using the XXL reflectors.

Could you tell me where i could get those nets like you? How much do they cost? When do i install them?

590 don't seem bad at all, in comparison to 15k for a Twister. I think that'll work for my needs. Mind tellin where ya found it?

Thanks!

Edit: Found em on Ebay, same price. I think one of these in is my near future! Have you looked at buds before and after trimming, to quantify the trich abuse?

newhidden-I got them from a hydro store, check your local store for a 16ft x 4 ft trellis, or they come in 8ft x 4ft.

BudGood-Yup ebay :) In all the pictures and videos I have seen the buds look great, trich loss isn't bad either. The rubber flaps that move the blud along are soft and gentle. Some say 12 turns on the handle are enough. Did you check the video in post #152? There is more information out there, under the many names this device has. From my research it will be a great tool, if it wasn't I would have spent more if thats what needed. It operates like many trimmers out there only manual and cheap. Does an ounce every 30 seconds, de-fan leafing the buds and geting them off the stalks will be your biggest time factor :)

Some good news :)

First the most amazing news!!!

The fully flowered and finished 4 clones I took of a outdoors white lightning plant (Northern Lights #5 x White Widow) have rooted in less then 7 full days!!!!!!!!!!

I literally just got home with all the supplies to build my new bubble cloner, so they could be placed in there rather then the dome, because of mold issues. BAM roots sticking out.

Humidity Dome + heat mat set at 83F + clonex dip + jiffy plugs + 2 daily sprayings. I took the clones 1 week from today :) First time cloning a plant in flower at all, and I am impressed. These are actual buds with roots growing out. This was my most productive and potent strain before shutting down in the spring. I let my mom go because I was supposed to be able to get a clone from the orginal mother, and that turned out untrue. I gifted the lady that I cloned off of and boy am I glad I did. Would have been my first loss of genetics I cared about. I still cant believe it, and I am sure alot of people here won't, 7 days in flower is nuts from what I have read.

Second badass news:!!!

BOG's Sour Bubble arrived today

Came with sam the skunkman x orginal haze as freebies, and also

TNT mix

Update for you guys :)

Day 24 12/12

Obviously shit got out of control with all the different stages of clones, Muhahaha I am not upset by that. One of my phenos of white lightning in there is pretty damn far along for 24 days. Shit has just been way to perfect in there. Enjoy :joint:
