I remember a thread on a spanish forum where peolpe where complaining about bad germ rates in sensis more expensive seeds but not so much problems with the cheaper ones.

They were suggesting that the problem could be that the seeds are so expensive that they take lots of time to be selled and get old.

I have had last year superskunk and all germed, this year again and 8 germed, all 10 shiva skunk germed also. 2 years ago I had Northern Lights (expensive), only 1 germed.

I believe she is becoming even more unpredictable than ever. That's just my take on what you're saying. The summer heat, where I live, started around April? (lol!) and extended until very recently (October)

I mean...seriously.. 107 degrees toward the end of September?

Exactly my friend and we as man are at the earths/natures mercy.

When making seed became illegal in the late 90's it seems Sensi lost most of its parent stock. Since then they have had to use their seed stock to breed, back cross style. Different folks selecting and not necessarily doing it the same way as it was done earlier in the 90's. They use the old pics but chances of getting that are slim to nil. I have a friend who is a total Sensi fan, has been disappointed repeatedly in the last 10 years. Man I hope he stops beating his head against that wall soon. Peace GS

Our world itself is changing. I have my own strains that I have created and grown for years and have not changed the genetic makeup of and they now finish much later. Strain of my own that used to finish Oct. 15th in Mendocino are now most likely to finish mid November. People who breed for outdoors and spend their time working these plants outdoors with complete dedication will tell you that there is something very wrong with Mother Nature these days. We as mankind should really be worried.

I've also noticed that our climate is changing, but as far as i know is the amount of daylight in the season still the same with 15 years ago.

I think that more then just the light has to do with how fast Cannibus matures. Thats why you can bring it inside and manipulate it. I think so many things are going wrong with our world. Who is to say that we are even still on the same calender date as what we are supposed to be on. Things are shifting. The core is changing, magnetic fields are changing. All living life forms are affected by these changes.

I just started 30 Sensi Super Skunk seeds about 7 weeks ago. I had 27 out of 30 pop. I have yet to have any problems with what Sensi puts out.

yeah sensi has lost face over the years...but u have to be doing something wrong...i don't see how not 1 out of 60 germed
Speaking of late strains, I'm wondering how close to freezing it's ok to get...like 37? Is that cutting it too close? Late strains suck man wtf

It's gotten down to ~34 F here and besides some fall colors coming out our plants are fine.

Yes Sensi will not discard old beans. There most expensive beans are never thrown out.

Outsourcing is a very viable business tactic. However, without quality control you essentially handed over your business to the people you outsourced too.

Quality is no longer a concern to Sensi, this can be seen from the deleted post from many growers on their site in regards to germ rates and overall quality of their genetics. If the people you trust to breed your genetics screw up Skunk#1(The Pure)........ well you can come to your own conclusion.

As for the old bean theory, once again, quality control. Those beans should have never left their shipping facilities. It would be understandable if a bad batch went out and was properly addressed, this unfortunately is not case.

Not to knock all of the Sensi's breeders as there seems to be a divide on certain strains. The issue here is how Sensi is dealing with the issue(currently sweeping it under the rug is protocol) and how that reflects on their image. They just dont seem to care any more.

Ed Rosenthal Super Bud.... 2006 'DEBUT" EDITION - purchased in Nov 2006 in Amsterdam ( debut - meaning new seeds...???).....

8 of ten NO GERMINATION... 1 female - acrid pot, decent yield, slightly aggro buzz....

For me, a Waste of Time and money.. Could have used the space for the development from seeds for something else...

Done with Sensi....

^ I had the same bad results with that strain. I got 0/10 to germ waste of time and money. I got mine the same time you did

How long is long term storage? Did you buy your seeds from older, better stock? Dunno, just curious.

Up to 18 months. Purchased from vendors at the beginning of 2008. No idea how old the seeds were when I got them. Not white label/feminized, which of course should not be included in any Sensi past/present comparison. Packaging is the same as on their "Cannabis Seeds Packaging" page. The posts where people claim bad germination, or make some out there claim that doesn't seem to have any factual basis, like

When making seed became illegal in the late 90's it seems Sensi lost most of its parent stock. Since then they have had to use their seed stock to breed, back cross style. long predate 2008 and in fact may have been more prevalent before then. I don't regret ignoring those posts for a second. At the very latest, it's been said that Sensi's supposed crapness coincided with the new packaging, though other bashing that I've seen is before that. It's funny how people keep giving different reasons why Sensi sucks. Seems like a different reason why every few months. Also funny is how some people say the gear is different, while others who should know say it's the same.

One thing is sure: people who say they've "heard" this or that should probably not give advice. It's been my experience that people can't be trusted for jack.

After germinating pot seed in paper towels for 25 years, the only problems I've ever had were with Seedsman's Skunk. 0/10. But for some reason you never see people slamming Seedsman.

I'll take some pictures of Sensi's product when I have something to show off, just been growing for seed lately. Feel like I have to say that I'm not even a member of their forum, just saying how it is for me.

20/20 with 2 of their 5 most expensive strains for me.

id rather buy from res, joey, karma or other lesser known but more reputable and respectably priced breeders.

I would say REZ is not priced according.. what were his last priced at ..

maybe you should tell us how your popping seeds, and see if anyone can suggest anything, as 70 seeds and nothing, something is going on..

this also sounds like TH seeds. everyone says TH seeds sucks. I gave my brother A-train and it's good. once your brain thinks something, that's usually the way it turns out. assumptions can be killers..

i bought a pack of mother's finest from the attitude just this year and thus far i am 0 for 5 germ rate of the 5 seeds i tried to germ. and btw, the attitude sells seeds strictly for souvenier purposes so do not call them if the beans will not germ as they will refuse to help even if sensi seeds seems willing to help. i am currently communicating with sensi seeds but my best piece of advice today is never buy seeds from a vendor who claims to sell only for souvenier purposes or you will end up in the same boat as i find myself.

ive probably sprouted over 1200 seeds in my day. i have always added 1/2 strentgh kelp based b-1 vitamin to a 3% h202 solution.

i thought they might be old stock. even the guy at the counter was rolling his eyes and shaking his head about sensi. i had 10 black domina fresh in mail from holland. 5 sprouted, 2 fems, 1 definitive domina, which is all i needed. then 10 jack herer white label no germ!!!!!!

i actually love th seeds. never more then 36 hours for 95% germ.

I think it would be just fair business, if the seeds-companys would stamp there seeds-packs, with date of production. As it is now, you dont know if the head-shop have had it for years.
Also it scary to see many sites selling seeds that is no longer advertised on the makers sites... When did Sensi last sell Silver Pearl???

Sorry my english is terrible...

The whole business i sketzy, we need gentlemen to take it over.
To many just wants to make fast profit and dont care for the future of the Cannabis.
In many ways it reminds me of the porn industry, alot of fake.
