Filled up the cloner again. Scrubbed it again. The pump was smelly, so I took it out and dropped in an airstone. They all look good so far. Also, took a friend's advice and used filtered water pHed to 6.5. My temps are good, so it must not be that. Also replaced all my neoprene inserts.

High hazy! I think I may surpass you in the resin department if things keep doing what they are doing.My house sinks...12 hours a day.Sweet,musty,fruity,and add the baked goods from the wife,OMG!
Had to tie up the girl tonight,lil bit top heavy at 40 days in,at 5 feet or so if I hadn't trained her.Were getting ready to go hit the German Brown trout at lake Taneycomo,gonna go have a guide show us how to catch the big ones with a fly rod instead of a spincast set up.20" plus fish are common down there.
I'll pop some pics up soon when things get interesting...

HS~ No, all is not well.
I have not had a single clone root in well over a month. I've lost maybe 150 clones. My cloner holds 14.
I got rid of the pump, thinking maybe it was infected with pythium or whatever, even though I had cleaned it out. Started using a buuble cloner, same thing stems all get mushy.
Problems started when I made a big change in the size of my room, and ventilation was inadequate for a few days and it was too hot. I've since moved the cloner again and the problems continue. They die faster now.
The water is cool, the air temps are about 72 - 74.
I thank my friends who would help me out with an injection of good clones, but i have to figure this out eventually, or I'll have flower out all my moms and start running entirely from seeds.
Of course, between my own crosses and a nice selection of beans gifted from my good friends here, I could grow a long time before I'd need to make new beans.
I'd really hate to lose my current strains.

NYCD- this cut was actually lost to salt overdose of the mom and vegging ones. Vegging plants died and clones didn't root.
Catpiss. SSH indica pheno I got from Old Soul. Having gotten over the nute concentration disaster my clones were rooting again. Mom when in to flower and the cuts died.
SSH - My 60 day finisher, I had dropped it, but Kal-El wanted a cut so i got a cut off of it in flower and it rooted in the last little clone rooting success window I had, and it rooted and revegged and i could never get another cut to root. The ssh from that rooted clone is in flower now, and the last cutting, I just threw in the trash. dead.
DPD- double purple doja. I never got a single cut to root, I finally threw the mom in to flower. This one is a real shame.

PK I took one of two in flower and put it back in the veg area last night to reveg.
I went from being a lousy cloner to being a pretty damn good one for quite a while now. Now, i fear that I've got some kind of Texas Root Rot permanently ensconced in my room. I have no confidence that i'll ever get another clone to root.
I'll miss GAK and PK the most, though I'll regret losing C99 and SD and chem4.
BTW, I've got a BIG c99 and GAK and SD and Chem4 and Sugar Shack and DPD and PK in 12/12 right now amongst others. A couple real nice Silverlights and a Sweet Skush too.

Added to the above, I have a chance at a job in a couple months that will require a drug test and that does random tests. So i'm faced with the prospect of having to stop smoking the herb i'm surrounded with in another 10 days. I'll need a month to get clean.
I have no source of clean urine, though I have done that in the past.
Do any of you guys have any actual experience with synthetic urine?
It wouldn't be so hard for a pre-employment test, but for a random, carrying it with you always? with a heating pad. Do you get a chance to go warm it up with the heating pad or do they drag you straight to a bathroom?
I'd hate to quit smoking, but I'd hate to not get the job even more. It pays good. There's not a chance of remotely similar pay anywhere else around here right now. My wife already knows about the job opportunity, so you can bet if i don't go for it, i'll have to find a new place to live. haha.

I used the senthetic urine 6 times all with succes it works perfect for the pre employment not so much for a random cause it does take some prep and practice ... I have even used it with a viewed test it is hella scary and kinda tricky ....the heating pad does take a while to heat up and if they test it for blood sugar which theyy may if u are taking a physical too .... It will come up high so tell them u ate a shit load of candy or had a milkshake on the way here .... I got some other sugestions ... Hit me up with a p. M. If u do end up using it ...... All and all if it is preemployement go for it ....if it's Random. Ehhhh that's tough....... I keep one around the house just in case

Hey Hazy! Sorry to hear about your clone luck, sometimes you just gotta give up and try something else. I'll have some nice new things on the way for you before the end of the month, waiting on a few seeded plants to ripen up.

Hazy, I've done numerous drug tests (union sparky), and randoms. I've used the bottle method and the battery operated method. With the bottle method, you need to have some time before the actual bathroom, I would recommend warming your bottle every morning and put it near your crotch (boxer-briefs work good for this, kind of a pouch right in front/under the crotch). Keep the handwarmers on you ready to open if the weather is warm, keep them rubberbanded to the bottle, opposite of the temp strip if cold. This is a huge pain the the ass, but I ain't gonna stop smoking, and I need a job.
If you have a few bucks to spend, look for the battery-operated digitally heated jobby, it keeps it at temp for 8-10 hours, helps if it's warm from the get go, the batteries last longer (AA or AAA, can't remember at the moment, I use a fresh set of rechargeables every day I'm working). This is by far the preferred method, keeps it warm all day, a little bulky (about the size of a checkbook), but worth the investment. Most of my good friends are either patients or rec. smokers, and a lot have these, the bottle works, but there are more logistics involved than have the digital heated jobby. As long as you maintain somewhat clean conditions, only use synthetic urine, you can reheat it over and over, real urine breaks down too rapidly. Hope that helps, with all that gorgeous ganja I couldn't stop smoking if I was you!
Oh, another thing, sorry to hear about your cloning problems, that really sucks, especially losing such nice strains!
Do you run hydrogen peroxide in your cloner between cloning runs to sterilize it? I see you use pool noodle material to hold them in, do you use the same stuff or use new every so often? I usually sterilize everything, the cloner, the neoprene collars, with peroxide. Give us some more info on your cloning procedure, maybe we can figure out where your problem is?

Messed up the new Silver Lights pollination. Mixed up my male & female NL clones and
grew out a NL male to cross with my ssh male, lol, that didn't work very well, lol. All the
others (candy store, golden cindy, c99, sdog) were females so we'll have those. I'm

hey hazy, thought'd id drop in here ... sorry to hear about the cloning issues. i've had that mushy stem before in my bubble cloner. as far as I could tell it was from the temps being too high ... the temps in the room got very hot (we had a heat spell for a week) and ultimately, the water heated up as well. i never actually took the water temp, but you might think of trying to drop it down a bit more? i like to keep my ambient room temp (mind you i had it running in a random room, not the grow room) at like 68 so i don't know if that helps.
great strains you have running ... it does suck to not be able to clone stuff you really love ... even though there is a certain joy in trying new stuff out, it is always so much easier to have a reliable clone to take.
you have some great stuff going on ... hope you get that job ... especially if it's supporting you and the wife. don't forget to keep those priorities straight.

with the cloning it may be good to try something different - have you got a cupboard somewhere that you could put a little 11 watt warm white cfl in?. i am very low tech - just use coir jiffy plugs in a little unheated propagator . i find they root fine in 1-2 weeks if i mist them every day or two and keep around 70 degrees

Thanks Skrappie, yeah, I started cloning in perlite/vermiculite 'hempy' cups, worked, but was slow, and in coco or soil they die all the time. However, I've got several big clones in coco/perlite now, so I'll see.

What's been working great for a long time has been just take the cut with my trim scissors and pop it in the ez-cloner knock-off i made. I've got to fix it though. maybe I need to get all new pump, tub, pipes, etc.
