Sensi Star from Paradise Seeds

wow very nice wvkindbud38, god i hope mine turn out half as good as them and id be happy im on day 27 flower and theyve started to fatten out nicly with loads of trichs. if i find my cam in the crap around here il post some pics

Thanks guys these Sensi Star are monsters.....I had one that finished in like 40 days(not pictured)that was almost all red hairs.....probably could have took at 35 but I waited til 45 days of 12/12........the ones pictured are gonna finish at around 53-58 or so........These all flowered very fast.....I probably could have took them all around 48....I've got a 100x mag. device....but I usually just harvest when it's around 60 to 70% red hairs....I had some sativas grow with these SS or I probably would have chopped them at 50 days......I got one pheno that has a ton of reisn trichome production......I'm sure this is the keeper pheno as it's got alot more resin than the other 4.......don't get me wrong all 5 of the SS are heavy resin producers but this one just stands out.....kinda looks like Paradise Seeds pic I think......These 5 SS are all very uniform.....I thing all 5 are almost all indica...few little sativa......one plant was about a foot shorter than the others.....and I've noticed all plants are very much alike except for the bud structure form and type......out of 5 plants I've got at least 3 different bud phenos.....which is kinda weird considering how all the plants are so uniform and look alot alike until you starting looking at the buds.....I'm sure there all gonna be good........good luck with your SS guys...I'm sure to grow her again....Smoke report will follow in a few weeks.....Also I vegged all 5 plants for 30 days on 18/6 before the flip to 12/12....I also flowered in a 7 x 7 room under 2430 total watts of HPS (hortilux bulbs)......I used a 600 watt Solar max MH conversion bulb first in veg and then a 1000 watt Sunmaster MH conversion bulb in late veg.....no Co2 just good ventalation

There just now getting good and dry...I'm still opening the jars to make sure there good and dry......I'll cure them a few more weeks before I can give a good smoke report......I got 1 very nice pheno.....best looking SS of the 5.....it's dry and very smokeable.......it's got a very nice taste kinda like a cherry Halls cough drop......I haven't smoke much of the others but really thought this one is the best.....it's super sticky more so than the other 4.......I can tell you that I trimmed and manicured these and cut most of the stems off and got a total of around 24.5 ounces dry from these 5 Sensi Star......I don't sell anything so I trim all the big stems and everything......24.5 ounces of prime trimmed bud......about a pound and a half on 5 plants......thats not counting all the trimmed leaves I have.....I probably got 6 or 7 brown paper bags full of trim......I didn't weight it......I'll get a better smoke report in a few more weeks after they get a good cure.....but the 1 pheno in my avatar pic is truly the one.....halls cherry cough drop sticky as hell.....get the scissors out......I just don't see the other 4 plants to be as good as this 1.....I wish I could have got some cuts from her......The pics I posted were a few weeks before harvest.......3 of the 5 plants got some nice purple coloring to them the last week after flushing and some low night time temps......I'll have to load those pics up as I didn't expect alot of purple on these Sensi Star......alot maybe because I use alot of organics and low night time temps and the flushing.....

I`ve been holding on to a sensi star cut I got back in 2005.I`ve got 12 in flower now.This is 1 of my all time favorites.Such a sweet and smooth smoke with a killer high. She relaxes me and helps me sleep.Great smoke!

Thanks guys....I sampled some of the other SS that I had and I think it had a very nice lemon taste.....kinda sour candy,,,,very smooth a hint of skunk.....I'm get a better report after they cure a bit more....and I'll try to get those pics uploaded of the SS that kinda turned purple before harvest......The Sensi Star is kinda leafy but you can always make hash from it.....I trimmed and manicured my SS very good(took about 2 hours each plant) I think SS is a good plant if you can find the elusive 1 or 2 keepers.....

I heard a rumour that it takes a long time but i honestly dont know...regardless i look forward to being able to afford a couple packs one day

yes, the good old star of death. i have had many long... or short nights coughing and enjoying the potent death smoke of this strain. i plan on crossing her with my strwbrry dsl and see what happens

I have roots at 10 days with rapid rooters and a dome.By day 12 I usually transplant into 16oz cups.

Ok guys I'm back for the Smoke Report on Paradise Seeds Sensi Star.....after a good mounth or 2 cure I must say the finished buds are good.........The killer SS pheno like the pic in my avatar is a frosty covered mess..........the taste is kinda cherry lemon......kinda like a hall's cough drop......very thick.....and so freakin smooth......it's also kinda woody on exhale......this pheno was the best of the 5 plants I grew.....potency.....6.5 to 7.0 out of 10 I'd say......the other phenos are more of a lemon cough drop taste.....still very thick and all pheno's are so smooth it's amazing.....there other phenos aren't as sticky as the 1 but there still good.......6 out of 10 potency......I'm a everyday smoker for 15 plus years so don't get to caught up in the potency numbers......it's a very good buzz......probably more of a stone but it's also got some up in the buzz.....alot more indica than sativa...........I grew 5 plants in 5 gal pots and averaged around 5 oz of nice prime trimmed bud per plant......I don't sell so I trim alot of the stems so the 5oz per plant is a lowball number(all buds no garbage).......I also got alot of trim from the Sensi Star that I didn't weight.......I got like 5 brown paper bags full of trim..........Overall I give Sensi Star a 6 out of 10......I really like this plant......it was so uniform and didn't stretch much in flowering........I only bought a 5 pack of seeds and used them all......so I'm not sure when I'll run Sensi Star again.....but I think I will run her again sometime......she was easy to grow.......

What's the lineage of Sensi Star?......I've heard it before but can't remember.........don't it have purple orge or something in it?........3 of the 5 Sensi Star I grew turned some purple in late flowering......

Nice nice plants wvkindbud. I think you'll have a hard time finding agreement on what Sensi Star's lineage is. As I recall from searching Paradise has kept if fairly closely guarded. When that happens all kinds of stories pop up. Someone could chime in and be right on the money but I imagine there are quite a few opinions.

I have heard many stories about the sensistar but nothing solid ed rosenthal states in his big book of buds that it is stabalized indica strains with a hint of sativa...

I have been told it has northern lights and afghani genes in its heritage but only paradise realy know and i dont think they want to reveal it...

Im still yet to grow out a female sensistar 5 males from a 5 pack but i will try it sometime in the future...
