hmm..someone else might help determine the cause of the lack of pistils but if it is a light leak, what i did is took a thin/sliced sponge or the foam used in some paint brushes and lining where the doors meet the body of the wardrobe, effectively sealing it. when you open the door it presses into the material so it doesnt keep you from getting inside, and when you shut the door it pops right back to its shape and seals out light. also stays behind the door so you cant see it, keeping your stealth.

thanks man..the thing is I might not even HAVE light leak..and if I do..its indirect,dim light..since I have some blankets over the door..I guess Im jsut getting impatient that I dont have any nice buds forming..or atleast more pistils..

I would like to see some pics of what you are describing.. But as far as 9 days into flowering strain pending u may see no pistles just more leaf formation.. If no pistols in 3 weeks id be worried then.. It should show in days to come.

no no..I DEF have pistils..all my plants are DEF females..the problem is i just odnt have ALOT..or as many as Id expect from ak48 which is supposed to be a fast flowering strain..I will TRY to take pics tommrow..I guess what Im trying to say is:

is it normal or is something wrong If Im at day 11 of flowering..and I used a 24 hour dark peiod before the witch..and I ONLY have a FEW pistils here and there..not alot..and no bud fomrations yet?...

My guess is 2 things:

1. i used a 6500k t5 for the first 5 days of flowering..maybe this blue spectrum low wattage light delayed flowering..or didnt really "force" them as much as a400 hps would have..they have DEF strecthed nicely since I pust the hps in there...

2.I may have had a light leak during the first 5 days of flowering..until I used a much darker blanket..or I may STILL have a light leak..

Ok heres an update..I got my valueline 6in centrifugal fan..I have the duct opening near the 400w hps bulb sucking the hot air,then blowing it out away from the grow..temps stay at around 80-82f..so Im quite happy..I posted some pics of my budsites..but I need REASSUARNCE that those are indeed small buds starting to form..and not my imagination...

Also,are they on track..or kinda delayed?They are 12 DAYS IN 12/12 TODAY

dam..you see thats what im worried about..i mgiht have possible had a light leak when i first started flowering..cus the blanket i had over the doors was see through..and also i used a 6500 k t5 for the first 5 days...

then recenlt i put the 400 hps in there..and put a heavier,darker balnket..which blocks all light...maybe it was this that delayed the flowering??..

dam now im stressing..anyone else wanna help me out..are my girls behind..on shedule..is this normal for day 12 of flowering??

I always try to get in there..when the lights are off.and its VERY dark..i cant see my hand in font of me even when my eyes adjust to the dark for a minute...i always read that the most light you want is around a moon light..my rooom is soo much darker than that..almost light prooff..

so can there be any reason why my buds are not as big..or maybe there on the right track..and im just being impatient??

Hey Mobb, man don't stress... there is nothing wrong with your progress. You cannot compare your plants to someone else s. There are many factors involved.

The best way to check for light leaks is when the lights are on. Do you see light coming out of the closet?

How are your cuts doing?

True..you may be right..clones do mature much faster than seeds..I started flowering when they were about 4-5 weeks old..WITHOUT signs of presex...so it can possibly be that...+rep

I am currently putting a layer of tinfoil over the blankets..and then hanging some dark azz curtains over that..all these extra layers SHOULD prevent any light leak that I MAY or may not have..either way,im sure it'll make things darker in there..as for the clones..some made it..but am not too worried bout dem..Ima just reveg my favorite plant once I harvest them and test them..and then use that as my mother plant for future sog grows 12/12 from roots...

I guess Ill just keep an eye out for light leaks..so on to my main question...

Dam allright,I guess now Im feelin better..Ima keep working on hanging more dark curtains and shot over the doors..to make it as dark as I can..so far Im feeding with

per gallon of tap water:

monkey juice a 6ml
moneky juice b 6ml
1 tablespoon of mollases
a small chunk of big bud poweder

as for me my feeding goes, Dutch Master Gold A + B 140ml each, Sweet 120ml, and Bloombastic, 15 ml. The dutchamster line blows the biotanicare out of the water in every respect. And This is my first time using bloombastic.. but so far it is making them explode!!

see bud? just as i said...you forced em into flower before they were sexually mature so of course it takes a little longer to bring on the buds...and now you have the start of those 'popcorn buds' i was talking about. all's well with your plants...so relax and enjoy the grow! if you start seeing leaf burn around the edges i'd cut off the ferts immediately. adding ferts with every watering is likely to bring on probs in a couple-three weeks. i feed mine once/week during flower...i'm in soil and any more tends to build up and can create probs shortly before harvest.

Hey mobb, those girls are looking great! Pretty much a noob at all of this myself, but those look like buds forming & they are prttey & green. I am also growing in coco & feed once a week with nutes & they love it. Now that I got a better understanding of what I'm doing.

aiit man..appreciate that homie..now when you say you only feed once a weekk..please tell me more..what do you feed,how much,etc..as much details..Ive alwasy thought its better to water with nutes everyday with coco coir..I use a.n monkey juice bloom...around 6 ml of each per gallon,with a tablespoon of garndmaz mollases..

and as for the avatar,thats Baby'z car,its a BEAUTIFUL donk ..I've seen it in real life..the rimz are 30in!! With a Rollz Royce Front Grill..and the paintjob just melts..anyways back to topic..this isnt a car forum lol..

hmm, perhaps you oughtta get with joesy whales over at the desert grower's room. he's a coco user and obviously knows what he's doing...it just seems to be heavy ferts to me, but i use soil. get with joesy...he'll have an answer for you.
