Hi Ganga, thanks for stopping by the log.

That particular plant is a Dutch Dragon x Power Plant that was part of a lighting screw up on my part (left a one kw light on in the middle of flowering for 24/7 for about five days) so everything revegged and we had to start flowering over. There are 2 of them and they smell more like power plant than anything else.....almost kind of minty or something. I'm not a huge fan of the power plant which is very sativa like but the Dutch Dragon I've grown before and it can be quite stony and a bit heavy as well so hopefully they will come together for a nice mix. :D

More pics in our albums if you like to look at things. Thanks for the kind rep

Whoo....doggies!

Whoo....doggies!

Well I am learning all kinds of stuff....Brainstorm = NL5/Haze. Is Cough the same strain too? Somebody else told me that once.

Since on dialup, I hardly ever load up thumbnails, but glad I did this time!

I may hang that one on my desktop for a while!

The Dutch Dragon xPP cross sounds good too, can't wait for smoke reports on both of those.

Is that sky I see over the Brainstorm? Lucky Weedy!

Snowing again here..lol. Spring not sprung anymore! Have Snow and Daffodils at same time. Not too bad though, just a sprinkle, but it shut up the frogs for now! They've been hollering at nite for quite a while now.

I smoked some Brainstorm male leaf from my NLHaze, a few minutes ago, and it tore me up pretty bad. I must be losing my THC reserves...lol

d4, I'm not sure you can mix the two. Your root stuff (I'm told) is a very concentrated version of the Rhizotonic made by Canna. He told me the Zone was ok to use with Cannazym.,.....but not with rhizotonic. So I'd make sure before you add it and your roots always look great anyway so I don't think you need it. I was just curious if you had heard about it and if so, what you had heard.

The battle with fungus gnats goes on. Everytime I think we gotten it another one pops out from somewhere. I'm sure this is due to all the plants getting too big .......again.......from the lighting screw up because a lot of the undergrowth of the plants is dying off. I certainly hope I don't have this problem next grow but I'm pretty sure the issue is in the large trash cans and the way they drain. They are too big to be moved to remove any standing water so yesterday I tossed some mosquito dunks in the trays and we'll see if that helps. They are completely gone everywhere else thanks to the Zone.....it's just getting to the standing water of the soil stuff that has proved so tough.

May try sticky traps but I have a feeling the problem will be completely gone once I've harvested the present stuff in there.

Yeah We only run the RE in the res, no zone....are you running Zone in the res, I remember somewhere on this site someone sayin' they had problems w/ the Zone bubblin in the res...I'm gonna use the zone + penetrator to battle and prevent PM from rearing it's ugly head as it has just done...There is a great thread on here somewhere about gettin' rid of PM, and the masses are saying Zone & penetrator is the Bee's Knee's for gettin rid of PM....I'm thinkin the clones we brought in had it cuz it's only showing on the BK's and BD's, none of the seed plants, but they will all get treated anyways...

btw let me know how the Mosquito dunks do...I heard you can drop them into the res for fungus gnats too...

She smells more power plant that Dragon......I don't remember the straight dutch dragon smelling too much when we grew it before. I've always loved the smell of Power Plant and that's what these smell like.....not cannabis smelling really; more of minty/herbal/rosemary scent.....quite a nice scent in fact.

haha....no that's the color of the wall behind the plant.....they've over grown my four foot white paint line. That color isn't bad....the house we lived in before had one room painted pink. We used to call it "the pepto bismol room"

Yes, Brainstorm is Northern Lights #5 x Haze. That's what the company that sells them tells me anyway. I'm not nearly as strong on good genetics as many folks so I pretty much take what the seed companies say at face value. Seeds have always made it, the weed has (for the most part) grown the way they said it would, and I've never gotten a male in the bunch.

I love the Brainstorm buzz myself.....very close to the SNL x NH, which along with the Arjans Strawberry Haze are pretty much my favorites these days.

Couldn't tell you about the background on the Cough; never grown it and did consider growing some feminized but the company said the yield was "average" so we ended up going with some feminized Ice seeds instead which are supposed to be very high yielding. Honestly, I have yet to find a strain that will match the yield of the SNL x NH and still be a QUALITY smoke.

I thought you had a secret greenhouse for a while there Weedy!

I want a ghetto greenhouse myself. Surely that wouldn't look suspicious! LOL

I wish my State was friendlier! I would love to have a greenhouse a rockin'.

Dad's feeling a lot better! He's Already cross at me for stealing his 4WD ever since the big storm. That's a good sign he's back to normal almost! Vrrooomm, Vroom. My Cobra has a bum fuel pump right now! Need Elves to work in that engine compartment, it's so small. I ain't gonna even try!

I'd love to have a green house too, and a black house, so I can flower my outdoor plants at will, I'm all for a couple extra harvest's outdoor...

Hopefully the new Assembly Bill 390 will pass, and Ca. will be the 1st state in the union to decriminalize the use and cultivation of Cannabis(not just MEDICINAL Cannabis) for responsible Adults over 21... I'll keep my fingers crossed...

here is the bill:

You know honestly, I LOVE the control indoors provides. I tried to grow outdoors one year (before I started hydro) and I won't go into details but nearer the end in August we had a two week "heat storm" (their words) with temps topping out at 113F. First year growing.......it REALLY added stress to the plants and I haven't grown outside since. Plus all the bugs etc. I'm all for people who grow outside, I'm just not one of them. :D

There's a good thread on cdot that talks about curing in the FAQ (I think by Zandor). Is your stuff dry enough to smoke yet? lower humidity better......watch carefully for mold during drying and a fan blowing air on them will speed things up but is not necessary.

Smoke report or still too wet loco?

PS Hi Weeze! You got it with the indoors although where you are should be a NICE outdoor grow.

Should is good!

Should is good!

One would think!

Actually, though, there are several problems.

Tropical sun, at noon, is just too much for many plants, including hemp.
Greenhouses here do not use glass, they use netting as sun shields.

We also have problems with "long day" strains.
No got long days.
Or nights.
Too close to the equator.
Plays hob with sativas.

Then there's the whitefly and powdery mildew.
It's everywhere.
My neighbor lost most of his outdoor crop to spider mites last season.

Last but not least?

I like to sit in my hot tub and smile and wave at the helicopters without worry.
(Not saying what I like to wave):moon:

LOL! I love the indoors too. Besides the worry of helicopters (and we're even legal but I still don't like them) the bugs, the outdoor temps. You just named (except the equator) pretty much everything that I dislike about outdooor grows. Give me indoors any day.

And just to rub things in everyones' face :D.......Because of my lung cancer we get a 50%discount on our electrical bill. With 2kw running plus our veg lighting......this makes a HUGE difference.

loco,I discovered some bud mold in one of my grows by reaching for a leaf and to my surprise this apparently perfectly healthy leaf literally fell off the plant into my hand. Underneath that I had to look VERY closely to find the moldy parts which were fairly well inside the bud. The affected parts looked sort of fuzzy and gray. You could definitely tell something was abnormal. The strain I was growing was white Rhino; but I don't really think it was the strain's "fault".....I'd been having rootbound issues and I think that was the main reason for the problem.

Moving air (from an oscillating fan) is a super way to help prevent mold when drying. That and lowered humidity are your two best weapons imho.

Our Brainstorms are coming along well....but not together. I began flushing one yesterday but the larger one seems like it needs more time before we change over to flush water.

The DD x PP's are still in the bulking up phase.....a fair ways from harvest we think, especially because they are in soil.
