Howdy friends! Yer ol buddy Khaleel is steppin it up. Just secured a second 600 hps system - borrowed a bulb and ballast from a friend, bought the reflector - and things are going strong.
I've been on ICMag for about a year and a half. got my medical card after getting a discharge from the army. some basic training injuries and a motorcycle wreck. so instead of popping vicodin all day every day, here i am.
i spent the first year on icmag using florescents and T5's. 200 watt compact cfl in veg, 4 T5's in bloom. then took hiatus for a few months, now i'm back at it. just finished my first run with the 600 hps, a Viper x Trainwreck cross, original strains both Reeferman
am enjoying the finished product
now i'll be running two 600 hps lights in bloom
there's a 6 inch inline blower in each of the lights. the ac fan works as the intake. a "co2 boost" bucket is hooked up to run when the lights are on.
I will be using a half soil, half coco mix, with another 30% or so Miracle Grow perlite, a dose of lime, wormcastings for veg, and bag/seabird guano for bloom. water is taken from the tap through a brita filter, and oxygenated (sits in a bucket with a water pump going) for a day or two before use.
liquid nutes will be age old veg/bloom respectively, i might try the compost tea, not sure yet. and of course, a tablespoon of molasses per gallon, all the way through.
and on to the stars of the show:
the four big girls in the back:
Government Mule - Cannacopia
The US Government’s own legendary G13 indica, via the University of Mississippi’s cannabis research farm. Legend has it that a cutting from the strongest plant from the U Miss pot farm was smuggled out by a pot friendly lab technician, and shared amongst a clandestine group of growers who cultivated her for the overwhelming narcotic stone. This cutting is known as PG13 or pacific G13- named after the grower ‘pacific’ who shared her with the world- and she is cherished highly for her excellent yield of dense, resin caked nuggets. We crossed G13 to the Deep Chunk indica and the resulting plants are mostly indica in stature, and produce an ample supply of high quality medicinal herb.
and, the 9 smaller kiddos in front:
Moon Shadow - Joey Weed
This is a unique blend of Chemo and Cinderella99. The mom was Chemo/whiterhino and the father was C99. The idea behind this cross was to harness the power of C99 and to give it some new taste and body. I also wanted to increace the yield on it and produce bigger buds. Chemo is a great yielder and has a super couchlock high. It was used by chemotherapy patients for years which is where the name came from. C99 needs no introduction and has been widely grown. A few people were put off by the intense anxiety producing high it gives. I figured that by blending C99 with the chemo that would add enough body stone so that people would be able to enjoy the haze like high from the C99 without getting anxiety. Moon Shadow is a good yielder that finishes in 8 weeks.
and for those of you who are quick, the remaining girl is a bit of a mystery. i found the seed in my cabinet. which means i kept it for a reason, just not sure what strain she be.
ok everyone, that's it for now. more pics to come, let's get settled in for a good show!! lol
