Lookin VERY good my friend! Tell me about your air-pump... a buddy gave me one that is identical to that, but it was REALLY loud and didn't seem to put out all that much air. Does yours put out a good deal of air??

I used similiar soundproofing board in my first room within a bedroom (no comparison in size to yours) but it did cut down noise and insulate the room.

Headiez - Looking good man!

Been reading all the skepticism about doing this in your garage and had to laugh. Some people don't seem to realize that a large percentage of these SoCal homes with three-car garages have offices/workshops/what-have-you built into the garage and that there's a lot of mixed-use residential/commercial activity going on in what are supposed to be residential neighborhoods - and nobody really cares. I live on a small cul-de-sac and there are four homes on my street that have business structures in the garage. The only thing you can't do is have a lot of traffic coming and going. Neighbors get pissed when someone's business customers block their mailboxes. LOL

You're gonna shit when you get your first power bill. Electricity here is really expensive.

Good luck with your project!!!

you are going to rip right through that panda on the floor my friend

pond liner is what will do the trick

i would just hate to see all that water all over

pond liner is like 40 mil thick

that panda is like 4 mil-8 mil

going to be a nice setup....

one question though, what is with the foil on the walls?? Are you trying to prevent IR signatures? If it was me and while you still can i would put some panda film up there. Panda film will spread the light evenly though out the room, the foil will create hot spots. Trust me if you made the whole room white it will be so bright you will have to wear shades!

Besides that i look forward to you grow.

Sorry if i sound critical, i do not mean to, but when i started growing a couple of decades ago i started with mylar, and switched it up and never went back.

PEACE my Brother!

p.s. to avoid rips in the poly on the floor make sure you have soft sole slippers that you wear in your room, this will help prevent rips.

awsome set up you have there, looks like you but some good thought into your rooms before you started building keep up the good work.. one quick ? for ya if your gonna run 7-1000watt lights why not run them all on 240v so you can run 2-1 on a circuit since they use half the amps then 120v you would be able to get 3 on a 20 amp-240v circuit.. :joint:

i like to use 220v too, but if it is done then all is good. my bro says it saves $ to use 220 over 110 but i dont think there is much of a difference. might be a minute savings in efficiency. i dont see how growing in a garage is any different than growing inside the home especially if it's room in room. its not like the sidewalk runs a ft from your garage door. maybe i'm bias cuz im doing a 6x10 room in mine. your air pump and manifold is frickin sexy! this is gonna be sweet. i use the reflective stuff too, mine is not put up very pretty, but i have had no probs with it. cant give rep, but props

Looks like things are coming along nicely. Your wallet empty yet? :D LOL

Dont worry, I have figured it out that roughly you get your ROI back in your first harvest no matter the scale, actually the bigger the scale, the more you get back as long as everything goes to plan.

I hvae to agree with the mylar. The time I used it, it got dirty, couldnt clean it, it got all crinkly, tears easily etc. My panda film has been up for over a year.

Ya, it is much different out here then the east coast, every other house has a garage that never opens or is converted into something. No worries there.

Electricity.... sigh. ya. been there done that already lol. Now that I'm adding this new "office" (diff location from other office) I'm lucky enough to have TWO electric bills both of epic proportions every two months. Can't wait to upgrade to solar.

Yup.

As much as I planned it out, and almost everything went according to plan, this is one dumb slip up I made. Dumb because I've read/seen Pond Liner before and knew I should use it yet while doing my fun $10k shopping spree at the Hydro Store I ended up just grabbing Panda Film and it slipped my mind.
There are already tears in the panda on the floor. Luckly its a concrete floor, but still, annoying none the less. Will slip some Pond liner under there soon, as annoying as that will be to pull off.
