I have gotten some stuff recently that the person called Dro.. As in Hydro. They are young, so I forgive them. It is just some good weed, probably grown indoors, but what medium who knows and who cares. We all know that shit don't matter. The point is there was no name given to the bud. Very stony, very powerful weed, and with an up high too. It is a golden indoor bud but it has sativa qualities. Not as good as the Hawaiian I had in the 70s, but certainly in the right direction.

I guess the thing is really the search for the great weed. If you smoke the same stuff all of time you end up getting used to it and taking it for granted. Probably best to get to try them all out. If it just wasnt so risky to buy. I loose weight worrying about how some deals are going to go down.

My best pot has an euphoric and up high, it's easy to grow and finishes fast.

Those are always best at the party. My AK-47, Hashplant and Blockhead are all top notch, knock you to your knees, but no comparison to the first line.

So far my favs have been, in no order... I'd have to say mid 90s Sensi NL5/Haze, SSH, pre98 Bubba Kush, SFV OGK, AfghanHaze/AfghanSkunk, Myakka Gold.. That's just off the top of my head..

I have never had Jack Herer, but that is one that is really interesting to me. I am looking for an Up High that makes you laugh but not something that makes me feel paranoid.

Thanks HL, that is sort of the reason for this thread. I am trying to see what name comes up the most and why. I have some dynamite stuff I bought that is just called Dro from some of these guys that consider brick weed their bread and butter. The stuff I have now has an up high and a great spicy taste. It is a golden colored indoor weed. I got OZ about a week ago of it and I am really happy. The best part of all is there are some seeds in it too.

These four plants have made it through my garden and survived many " toss the mediocre" campains. Lots of strains have passed through these parts. Some were outstanding, some not so much. But the above is by far the best.

Lou, are you someone that used to have another username on here? If so I am glad to be hearing from you, I was worried about you.


I am looking at stories about DJ's F13. I read a story in 420 Magazine

Sounds like the guy really had a rough time growing this stuff out, but blames himself. He did have have a male to female ratio of 3:1 and that didn't help either. He really liked the stuff but felt there might be something out there for less money that was just as good. I would be curious if anyone has had any great results with this strain that they may want to share. I would hate to spend $170 or whatever to get 3:1 males. And the one that he did grow out fell down on itself, and in the end he got like half an ounce from the one plant. DJ's goods sound good, but what a price.

Anyone else have anything else to say about Apollo 11? It sounds pretty good, but I am not exactly finding seeds for sale of that, so I do not know what kind of price we are looking at, or what kind of sucess anyone has had with it.

I have been told that Jack Herer is not a real stable plant. I guess what that means is you grow a bunch out and seek out phenos.

What I want is an up happy weed, long lasting, potent and not paranoia. Some of the Mexicans I have smoked has caused me some light Paranoia and I am not sure what that is about. I am like unable to sit down and worrying about things etc.

Anyway, this thread is doing pretty good and I am glad I am getting all of the response. If you have something you really feel belongs on this list tell us why. If someone just list 4 types of weed they like that sound like the whos-who of a seed brokers that is really not any good. I am sure the weeds you mention are good, but tell me more. I never really thought anything of the Diesels and in fact the name sort of repulsed me until I tried it. I had some Sour Diesel a couple of weeks ago and really loved it. It was an Up High and potent. It may be something that I would like to grow out myself some time.

Really a great place to explore here; the DJ Short growers are a cult unto themselves, and I love 'em for it!
Have a few vegging now, hope to be a true believer by next year.
