whats the scoop on the purple aids? sounds freaky. I hope they arent giving that one to babys either.

The purple Aids were origionaly a few plants that grew from some suposedly Swazi bagseed thrown down in a friends graden. One female and three males, one of which (the earliest) dropped some pollen before they were pulled.
She was a very nice plant with purle hues from cold. My friend named her purple aids as a purple haze rip-off as a joke. Her seeds were far better than she was. I was gifted the last three seeds but I screwed them up and only one germinated. It was almost identical to the F2 female he grew. Really close internodes so I presumed it was a female but it turned out to be a male. But a good male at that. Very vigourous and strong.
I decided to try carry on the line as my male was the sole surviver of all the seeds as snails ate his ones. So I hit up a DP female to try keep the genes local. I would have used a swazi but the Dp was all I had flowering at the time. The plan is to back cross to the PA dad untill they're as much like the PA as possible.
I have a good looking swazi female flowering now, maybe I will hit her up with some PA pollen to keep the genes swazi, then back cross... Maybe...

Here's a small bud of the first origional mother. The F2's if can call them that, are much denser with improved potency.

Hi everyone, not a lot of action here for a while.

Here's a few pics.

My little DP X PA's have done a bit of growing but still haven't revealed their sex yet. I culled the weakest, runty looking ones so I'm left with only 3. They're the ones I think look most like the father. They have that zig-zag nodal pattern and the weird staggered triple node thing happening like the PA male.

The remaining 3:

Here's that stagered triple node thing I was on about:

Little Swazi 12/12 from seed:

The little black thing in the middle is an ant, I thought it was quite funny...

looking nice that swazi - i see a whole bunch of resin developing there! :D

Hey everyone! Been followin this thread for a good minute now..... Im am a 50% or more indica farmer. Recently i popped some Mandala Hashberry seeds that i have been hiding away, and i found a really nice sativa pheno. She really took off and is beautiful! Long story short, i really want to do more sativa growin'. I have been messing with some nice c99 variety's. I was really lucky and got some Bros. Grimm C99 f2's from a friend and incossed them. Also, C99 x Williams Wonder ( c99f2 x william wonder), c99x Grapefruit ( Wally), c99x c4 (Mosca) They are way more sativa than im used to, however the way the behave intrigues me more than indica ever has!

So, anyone got any advice, tips or strain suggesstions? I love the bangi haze description from ACE. Any high percent sativa hybrid OR pure sativa will work! I know Mandala had to use some bangi or congo in the hashberry.... anyone know for sure?

Im here, hit me up or PM me with your advice!

Peace,

Nav.

Hola R.U.S.T

AH: Good looking tsit you are growing there mate, good to see you are doing your own genetic experimenting :respect:

Here´s some of Marijuanamat´s Malahazi a bro is growing in hydro set-up :D I shared the cut with him and he returned the favor!!!

+ + +

Some goodies from Herbal "breeding" experiments...

Not pure sativas, but the first one pretty close, we gonna pop some Swazi x Destroyer later, now that is going to be interesting :D

However, im quite exited about these two crosses, should produce some good indoor sativadom nuggets :chin:

Powerplant x Destroyer

Destroyer x PurpleKush aka KranialKush

Thanks -BG-, however, im quite exited about these we popped now, all made in Herbalistic´s laboratorycab :D

2 Destroyer x PK, 3 Powerplant x Destroyer, 1 Purp´s x PK, that is 6 seedlings + im currrently flowering my older cross Neville´s Haze x Purp´s which I took a cutting that will be growed in a bubbler set-up :D :D :D

Btw, im quite sure we gonna see some Swazi Rooibart x Destroyer at Danish outdoors next spring, started early in caring & knowing hands should grow huge there

Only bad thing about these experiment is that I have such limited space + working/growing sativas that took 100 + days limit´s my space & time even more, so many of the crosses are just branch or two pollinated = not much seeds to play with....

Here´s all the current seedlings from crosses I have done..

Yeah, that' so true...sativas take huge amount of time and space...I'm battling same fight here...

Looking really good -BG-

May I ask where did these genetics came from? Always great to see people growing pure sat´s in small space´s, we should work some great sativadom for our northern outdoors :chin:

Would love to have such an climate our brothers in Spain has, maybe that one day, maybe....

Thanks bonecarver, she started developing resin really early on, even along some of the fan stems (forgot the technical term for fan stems, anyone?). I was quite surprised. She doesn't like those flouros at all though, she would do much better outdoors or under an HPS. Can't wait to get my new box up and runing with a 250w HPS in there.

Looking awesome Herbman bro. Cant wait to see them in bud.
Thanks man, me too. I took some clones from the PA male which have rooted and showing new growth. Looks like it won't be too long before some back crossing action.

Nice one Herbalistic, I think I tend to do too much experimenting :D
I am in the process of pollenating lower budsites of these two good looking skunk girls with the pollen from two really nice swazi males. They're brothers of my swazi girl. They have nice thick, angular stems with great smell and good tight male flower clusters. One has really fat leaves like other African sativas. I always wanted a good swazi/skunk cross, well in this case skunk/swazi :canabis:

I'm really interested in the very sativa leaning pheno on the right. Branchier and got more resin atm than the more indica one on the left.

Good to be back in my favorite thread

Good to be back in my favorite thread

Still hunting for a pure sativa, but having fun with some leaning hybrids.

Found this gem in some seed made by a good freind named 'rolanterroy'.

The strain is 'Cherry Malawi' (Hawaiian Cherry x Malawi Gold) and these are F2's.

Haven't posted in a while and noticed a couple brothers have moved on to that garden in the sky. :badday: Rest in peace Medjool and La Mano Negra. May they be shaded by big stinky sativa trees. :joint:

Hiya to Muddy, Motaco and Esbe and all my other brothers still banging away.

hey everyone.

i was wondering if anyone could help send me in the right direction? I'm looking for a pure sativa, ideally highland/landrace, with drought tolerance. haha, anyone know of any strains?

Well a strain I know from first hand experience that is pretty drought resistant is the Swazi we have here. I see it growing along roadsides, fields, pavements, gardens ect. Often in very bad soils (like on the side of the road) and recieve only rain water when it rains which can be a few weeks apart some times and they're often thriving even in such bad soils that don't hold moisture well. I don't know about the seed bank Swazi's though, maybe these ones have learnt to survive on very little water generation after generation.
These are a pain for the outdoor growers, no matter what you do if it isn't in a green house you will always find a few rough seeds from the unknown male/s down the road. I know a guy who lives in such an area that even with absolutely no males present he still gets pretty heavily seeded outdoor bud. I think there is a township nearby where alot of the locals smoke crap weed and thow down the seeds down. There is always plenty of plants in townships, I have often counted them on the outskirts of townships as I drive by. The most I counted was thirty odd plants along a +- 1km section of township.

My Kalamata male

My Kalamata male

This is my Kalamata (Greek) male clone.

Kalamata has an enviable reputation amongst those that know it (similarities to a good Nepalese, or Neville's Haze), so I was more than pleased when I got a small batch of 5 or so seeds from a Greek friend. Unfortunately, no females survived, but I did keep the most sativa-looking male, and have already dusted whatever was in the vicinity.

Very soon I will have some seeds, NepJam x Kalamata, 303 x Kalamata, NJ303 x Kalamata and "Dispensation"(=NL5Hazex303) x Kalamata, so I'm quite excited, especially about the last cross, since the Kalamata showed some of the listlessness and discomfort that landraces show in the drobe, and I'm hoping the ultra-hardy NL5Haze will sort that out. Anyway, some seeds will be available to hardcore sativa freaks, ya know what to do.

I am also planning some more crosses in the near future, including NevillesHaze x Kalamata, Assam x Kalamata, and perhaps some more Greek crosses.

Soon as anything with Kalamata is flowering, I'll be sure to post here...

Cheers folks, lovely show!

The male turned out nice ;) He has a very nice look. Big thin bladed leaves! It will be interesting to see if he passes the nice qualities Kalamata is known for... Don't cull the male until you get to test the crosses and if they turn out nice... a backross to the male would bring more of his qualities !

Have fun
