I'll germ some of Rosy's NL x WW, and some of the beans you sent...the SDV3 x SDV3 will have to wait until I am confident about the stank

Don't put your hopes up too high one those NLXWW VT (it was just a freebie with the blueberrys, lol).
What you'll get above all is an easy-grown plant that will out-yield most of the stuff in your garden, but they're not going to top your Blockhead or Diesel genetics potency-wise.

The SD V3 X SD V3 should be an interesting grow. Several top-notch phenos in that line.

I killed my last SD V3 mother about a week ago. No regrets. She's been around for a while and has spread a lot of joy. Gotta leave some room for new, exciting strains...

My Tennessee Titans

My Tennessee Titans

lost a close one to Tampa Bay...hope Vince Young is gonna recover soon...dangit!!

Wassup aeric  Blockhead is probably the 3rd easiest to grow in my current lineup...behind MTF & Pebbles....I decided to do 8 plants around my light...most in 2 gal rootzones....but I'll do Pebbles and Blockhead in 5 gal rootzones....and a couple in 3 gal rootzones, and the rest in 2 gal and 1 gal....I may elevate 4 buckets in the "corners" of my circle for a total of 12 plants....I'd like to hit an elbow and a half of variety....

Good to see you back rooted! Hit me with a PM when ya can....peace

As I said in your thread JC...I've found that PBP hydro-organic bloom works better than PBP veg with my source water and Cal/Mag+ heavy handed dose I like (2-2-2...PBP Bloom- Cal/Mag- LK)....I'm vegging with a 1K on 18/6 with temps in the 70's and this regimen is working wonders in veg....the PBP bloom has slightly less N (which is good as Cal/Mag+ has a substantial amount of N)....I'm also filtering tap water so I think the extra P/K and less N must go well with the Cal/Mag+ and my filtered tap (GAC filter-Brita-)

I remember that SDV3 of yours when I followed gaismarius' thread last year in the hydro forum Rosy  How did you know I'd like Coldplay by the way? :D

Pure luck. That was just an old record someone left behind at a party.

It was either sending it to you or use it as a beer coaster :D

The PBP 3:1:1 vs. the 2:2:1

The PBP 3:1:1 vs. the 2:2:1

Well, geez, Rosy Cheeks...you had me feeling kinda' special :biglaugh:

Recently I tried the 3:1:1 mix (it's not new...or original, lol) of PBP/Cal/Mag+/Lk in a 3:1:1 ratio with my source water.... and got growth all over my plants like this recovering Trainwreck top....see the twisting leaves? Deformed growth? This is excess K from the 3:1:1.... phunking stuff up....

^^^That was momma...here's two T-dub baby girls that had major "leaf twisting" also :dueling:

I'm reading the plants...and learning...
now, look what happens when I ramped up Cal/Mag+....and went back to the 2:2:1

I am now certain that purple stems on my TW cut are caused by either P & K deficiencies, or both....Trainwreck has had purpling stems in my coco shows until recently...now I know why....

I did not flush away the "leaf twisting"...it is not lockout...just a deficiency that is easily cleared up by foliar feeding PBP and Cal/Mag+...AND Liquid Karma (@ 25%...1:1:2 ratio)

Oh...Rosy...here's some thrip damage on my Blockhead (5 gal growbag btw...gonna be a bush :D)

Cloning in Coco

Cloning in Coco

Hope folks got my post up there on the "Cal/Mag" thingy (I feel so nerdy typing that: "the Cal/Mag thingy" :biglaugh: ) I hope folks read their plants... I try and read mine

Hey, Rosy Cheeks, you cloning in coco yet?

i_score was the first I saw doing it in his inaugural coco thread (which I tagged last year)...and many others since then...the shit is too easy....I lost a couple to stem rot, but I got that sorted out with some help from my friends in PM

TW baby rooted in pure Botanicare cocogro

And a shot of her momma, with multiple tops, & at 12" tall
T-Dub...in 100% Botanicare Cocogro

hey there, nice batch of clones -VT-, i im making some to, yea stem rot can its a problem when cloning, but i managed to get over it by reducing the watter spray´s espetialy directly on the clones, if i have to mist, i would mist the dome and not the clones, another thing that helps at least for me is the size of the cutting, if they are to small they take more time to root, and are more susceptible to any problem(stem rot, mildew, etc...)
hope they all get big and healthy roots my friend, and keep up the good work!!

Hiya -VT-

Man this is a pretty plant - nice strong branches on her - sweet! Nice PK bud too - bet that was some nice laymedown.... Nice work on the coco cloning - looks to be neat and sweet.

Keep on doin whatcha love doin my friend! -MGJ

Hey VT

Looks like I need to pick up some yogurt...perfect size for the dome it looks like. Any tips for a fellow coco cloner? The perlite mix works but if I could go without it would be better on my budget. I left the dome off the other cloner (straight coco) I have and it appears to work too.

Your TW looks great  I have a SR71 PK in my cloner gifted to me...can't wait to run it...heard many good things.

Yes, coco clones are in the works. They've been in there for almost a week and are doing fine, no sign of roots yet - although wasn't expecting any just yet. No sign of thrips in there either.
Your thrips damage doesn't seem to be too bad. My bubbler clones were all scarred up, looked like my cat had used them as a scratch board.

I agree 100% i_score...especially on the size/quality of the cuttings....thanks!

Yes.

-1.Never mist the coco surface with a spray bottle, just water them with a turkey baster on the edges...the moisture will wick to the dry spots
-2. Do not plant too deep....unless the cut is a very long, "tough-stemmed" cutting...I plant about 1'2" max
-3. Don't allow any vegetation to remain at the coco surface...trim the cuttings
-4. I use a dome and tray...no heat pad
-5. Get some "Rootone" from Orchard Supply....less than $5...lasts for months....months
-6. Eradicate root aphids if you have them :biglaugh:
-7 Keep the pure coco moist
-8. Inoculate the medium (Look closely in the above pic of the rooted T-Dub) You'll see the coco is recycled (dead roots)

High Rosy, nice work! Overall, coco cloning takes longer than dialed in bubblers or rock wool...but talk about "sit it and forget it"....cannot beat coco....100% coco for cloning is sit it and forget it....to check for roots I can tell by tugging the babies now....what do you think? Thanks for hanging out in my thread

Sweet update VT:smoke: Damn! That Blockhead stem is huge!:yoinks: I wish I could give my veg plants more light right now....Sometime in the not too distant future I'll be able to bump them up.

I'll have to watch your C13 until mine is ready to flower...heard many, many good things about it.

wow...

wow...

it always amazes me...how some growers excell at certain methods, while others do well with an entirely different setup.

VT, your coco show is just inspiring!!

thanks for sharing and showing us how!

you rock!! :headbange
