I owe you big time brother. I still have an ounce of 1 year old OH cob from last year and it's my favourite high; not the strongest, but an exceptional high. This years OH trichs are in much better condition than last year's, And she appears to have become ready in the last few days i.e.early than I had expected. I'll update the photos later in the day.
I miss that always is the closest I got to marijuana lysergic euphoria…I still got a vial of seeds in the fridge raider from Johnny Chicago’s OHaze progeny..oneDay one day one day one day again :)

Sorry for not updating the photos when I said I would, but sometimes life gets inn the way. I
I took my daughter to the airport on Monday afternoon and when I returned I was too tired, and yesterday it was such a lovely day (29c! and no wind to speak of), that we spent the afternoon harvesting the Original Haze.
Here are some photos taken the day before the chop.

Good morning to you all.

I can't believe the change in the weather. Two days ago it was 29c in the shade, dropping to 17c at night. Yesterday it struggled to get up to 17c and dropped to 5c overnight. Thankfully the sun is out today, although it's only expected to get up to 19c.

Here's a couple off shots of the Original Haze after it was harvested.

The predominate smell is metal, but there is a sweetness there as well. Once we started to trim, a very strong smell of lemon bath cleaner developed on our hands, but with a sweet edge to it.
Now that it has been hanging drying for a couple days, the room smells of metal and cat piss!, but that could be one of the cats!😂

cant see any deep chunk in there :) haha. does anybody?

crazy that it takes longer than the ohaze. very narrow leaf sativa expression. how is the aroma?

seems like a beautiful life up there! :) enjoy!
I was given the seeds by cousin @el mani and having read about deep chunk and how it predominates in crosses, I expected to see it myself, but no, just very fine narrow leaves. The smell is also very metallic, so it seems that the THH is shining through. She smell's nothing at all like the Destroyer that was harvested recently; she smelt predominately of ripe mango.

I was surprised myself that the O haze finished when it did. Last year's was harvested at the same time, but it was early due to its both being unwell and bad weather coming. I was expecting this year's to go for another couple of weeks yet, but she'd stopped putting up new pistils and the trichomes were predominately cloudy with some turning amber.

Exciting times in the Del Monte household; 3 different haze's that smell of metal and I also have killer A5 haze curing.

How good the Sierra Morena plants look, cousin.

The dc/thh male was an f2 that Raco made (if memory serves), very sativa and finite, I think I have some photos there. The destroyer female was the craziest of a selection of three packs.

You can see little DC of her in it, it's not the sweetest but I remember a good effect, in this case the posi hz surpassed everything. (Algunas sacaban el cuero al curar)

Here we are already planning for the coming season and it hasn't gotten cold yet, not even the oranges are taking color.

I'm certainly intrigued by her smell; predominately metal but with a chubby outs something sweet. In the last day or so the pistil production has slowed.

Tomorrow I'll have another look with the loupe

The snow that fell 2 weeks ago has almost completely melted here! Usually we get some in October and it remains.

My wife went to Granada the other day and told me that the Sierra Nevada only has snow on it's very highest peaks.🙁

Another chilly night in las Alpujarras, 3c air temperature and a slight ground frost when I got up this morning.
I'm sitting here under our porch enjoying a morning coffee in the sunshine now and the weather is glorious, although the air temperature in the shade is only 14c, currently there it's no real breeze to speak of and I can sit in shirt sleeves.

The plan was to harvest the Green19 A5 Haze today, but Mrs DM is going out for lunch with some ladies and she doesn't want to miss the harvest!, so it looks like I'm eating beans on toast and we're harvesting tomorrow.
I bet there's not many on here that's wife say's, "you sit in the sun if you want darling, I'm happy trimming."

I took a small branch of the G 19 A5H for a closer inspection.

The base of them is about 1.5km from us "as the crow flies". The highest peak in the range is 1800m or so and from the top you can see the coast. The big boys though are to the North of us; Mulhacen is 3482m.
In the early summer when we're on the beach, we can look North and see snow.
The Mulhacén It is the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula and in European Spain (surpassed only by the Teide volcano, in the African part). Its name is (in honor of) the Castilianization-Latinization of the name of the antepenultimate emir/sultan of the Emirate/Sultanate of Ganada: Muley Hacén aka Muley Hassan (in Spanish and Mozarabic ); in Arabic أبو الحسن علي ‎

The legend says that when the sultan abdicated in his old age (seriously affected by epilepsy and blindness), fed up and tired of politics and human affairs, he asked to be buried as far as possible from men and as close as possible to heaven: in the Mulhacén peak.
Despite the famous legend and multiple searches and excavations in the mountain looking for his tomb and funeral treasure, historians believe that he was buried first in the Alhambra, and then transferred to the town of Mondújar, where the sultan had his own castle, and where, In the old cemetery of the town, it is believed that there was a Nasrid emiral cemetery.

Happy New Year to you all!

I hope that you all have an awesome year, that you have great health and your gardens are abundant with mind blowing weed.

And what a way to start the new year here; Mrs DM and myself sitting out in shirt sleeves harvesting our last plant, the Destroyer#23 x Deep chunk x Tom Hill haze, (thank you cousin @el mani ), and what a lovely morning it is too!

She was still putting out a few white pistils, but I think she's one of those that would never completely finish, so we took her down; mostly cloudy trichomes, with an increasing amount of amber.
the cold nights have given her a nice purple tinge in places.
The smell is metal and cat piss 🐈. The smell makes us very excited.

we actually started harvesting yesterday afternoon, but the wind got up, so we finished her of today. It feels good harvesting on new years day.

So that's it for this year's outdoor garden, or I should say, last year's garden.

All the rest of this year's harvest has already been made into cobs and they are at varying stages of ferment/cure.

I'm already planning next year's garden, but trying to fit 9 or more varieties that I'm wanting to do into 6 spaces is proving difficult to get my head around.
I have some thinking to do!. Thankfully I have plenty of good, thought stimulating cobs for the long winter nights.
