I saw those beans and I ran his fruity pebbles OG lol. What a coincidence, the fpog was really good and I’m smoking it rn out of my new bong but no cereal terps. Super gassy kush taste so I like it, I’m running his Irene, ghost OG, and his TK right now so fingers crossed it’s fire. Maybe you are right, I should give those ape seeds a try, even if it is a cross it could be amazing!
Is it a Kyle Kushman selection or am I confusing that with GDP that he picked through? @Hammerhead had a pic of the KKSC and another bud. One or the other. If its the kk might have a lead. Cloney has one.

I'm always coming back around checking in on the Irene (from the south) as it was one of the best herbs I smoked to this day, super flavor, amazing calyx to leaf ratio. I uploaded some pictures of the real deal irene some time ago if you go through my profile and you can compare the buds to that, has a real distinct look and kinda looks like that old school sour diesel light green calyx with dark green leaf.

my best homie grew out clone after clone and pack after pack of supposed Irene cuts that were supposed to be the real deal and they definitely were not, so always wanting to keep an eye out. good luck and report back please bro!

No disrespect intended in any way, but how do you know yours is the real cut? To me it sounds like Irene was a bag seed, and I wonder how many people got bag seeds of Irene that are all slightly different. All I can tell you is in veg, she has the deep burnt rubber smell that almost smells exactly like a vacuum cleaner belt went out mixed with a sour pine stench. Even the cuttings stink loud as fuck

Update! I may have the real grape ape clone coming in a week, and it’s not that Kyle kushman afghani Dom cut either! It’s that old harbor side cut!!! I will keep everyone posted if i actually receive her. Best believe, I do want her spread around. She’s too hard to track down and too many people gate keep and refuse to sell her so I will put her out into rotation to those cool growers on here that tried to help me find her 😊

Grape ape is finally in my quarantine area. After searching for her for almost 8 years, I finally have her! Thanks to the homie that helped me track her down, you know who you are.

Heads up, the Grape Ape from DARK HEART is the KK cut. The pics I posted are from her.. How the plant is grown has a big impact on expression

Yes - the Dark Heart Nursery one is the one I posted pics of and Kyle Kushman was mentioned by them as having something to do with its creation. However - I don't think it is the original Grape Ape cut since I was schooled by someone on Discord about it - there's some pics out there of it and it appears to be a bit leafier, is more squat and bushy and has shorter inter-node lengths than the KK cut. I'm not sure if the pics from Steve Rogers shows the original or the KK cut. IMO, the KK cut smells and tastes like grape soda - I discern no skunk terps in her. Beside being leafier, the original cut may differ in terps if it has a skunkiness to her (I never tried that one - so I don't know for sure if that's a trait the original cut has).

The person that has the most info on the GA clone is KK.. It's his creation..He has had it longer than anyone.

IMO theres far better if you like grape.. Beleaf Chimera #4 is prob the best fermented grape smell/flav clone ive ever grown and I hate grape weed lol.

So - you're not buying the story that there's a northern California clone that pre-dates the KK cut? I suppose apparent differences in pics could be due to different plant morphology in different gardens rather than it being a different cut. I haven't found much info on the creation of Grape Ape out there.

I was getting some fantastic grape ape back in like 2010-2011 in upstate N.Y. . The guy that was growing it I believe lived in Vermont but had rented an upstairs apt from my cousin to grow. Really wish I could get that plant or similar as it was fire. Definitely watching this thread with interest :rasta:

You wouldn't happen to remember if the terps were totally sweet grape or if there was a bit of skunkiness in there?

Hammerhead has stated it's a pic of the KK cut of Grape Ape - same as the one I posted pics of - the dried bud pic looks like what I've harvested off mine.
