The Mango Haze test grows showed plants that resembled Nevil's Haze every one but me and Jesse culled the plants Huge mistake.

What they told shanti was the plants were not practical and that is why the released Mango Haze changed shanti made them manageable for most growers.

If Shanti had left the MH like the test seed you be seeing plants flowering up around the 16 to 20 week mark and some longer.

Thats how ther supposed to be hempy....even the ssh supposed to have phenos that can go 22 week in it

MM x skhzA would make devastating plants....as would 78 x skhzA....those two alone would give you grail plants.

SkHzA on there own are something else mate most are huge plants with big yields i saw flowers as long as my arm on some plants.

The Grail selection was made by Nevil the Grail was his baby but i do plan to make a tribute lines to honor Nevil and all Aussie growers / Breeders.

The one thing we all would love to do is create a line that is on par with haze in high and quality but unrelated and with a different name.

That is what i have thought about for 20 years smoking strains like the old MM Mango Heads and a few more tells me it was done long ago so doing it again is not impossible.

My post a week or so ago were i posted stating that it was strange that a strain like Haze that had a history dating back to at lest the early 70s in California that had posters that seed of it was sold never had people posting talking about there experiences with it in California.

All the info i have read from any one talking about growing or smoking haze has come from people growing out dutch sold haze only.

Apart from that it was Sam Rob and ED Mel who posted a pic of Sam's out door Haze and info on pre dutch haze.

I also find it strange that we never heard or seen any original Haze from Cali or even any where in the USA , i understand its a seriously long flowering plant but surely there were some Connoisseur's who would be growing it over the years and if it was that good it would of made some noise and surely get passed around.

Also just to be clear im not doubting your legitimacy of your Santa Cruz Hazes i just find it strange like hempy said that all the Haze noise come from Neville's work over the last 30 years and nothing from USA apart from the Piff on the East Coast and im sure i read somewhere( but dont hold me on that)but that Piff crew qere said to travel to Holland in the 90's and get a bunch of Haze seeds and that where piff come from( again that might just be a theory but i read it in 1 of the famous piff threads.

There was at lest 3 lines in Australia that were on the level of quality and that smoked just like Haze that i am aware of all from the 70s one dating back to at lest 1976 or before.

The real Mullumbimbi madness the Mango Heads and the Tripping weed that dates back to at lest 76.

The MM i can date it back to at lest being grown in 78 now any one that smoked any of these three lines and smoked a good dutch haze will tell you there is a huge similarity in the high of all of them.

You post about any of the 3 strains people will post and say yep i remember smoking that in the 70s or early 80s but you don't see that happening with haze.

I was chatting online to one guy from Cali who was involved in the scene in the late 70's/early 80's said he never heard of Original Haze. He said he was familiar with Santa Cruz Haze and even held a cut of it up until recently. Not sure though if he only heard of SC Haze in recent times or if it was going around back in the day ...

I guess it was a boutique product that didn't travel far from where it was grown compared to the Lumbo, Mex, Panama and Thai that were grown and distributed on a commercial scale.

the Santa Cruz haze is from the son of the original haze bros (the haze bros were actually just the guys from jersey that sold it back east but for ease of understanding ill just say that its from the original guys in Santa Cruz who made it yes) I believe the cut is from the 80's as well think I was told 87 ill have to double check.. I also am being given original seeds from an 80's repopulation by the homie to pop in vitro... for those that know the cut I have is the root beer.
