Update Day 28

Update Day 28

Update Day 28 of 12/12

Its still a pretty smooth operation in there. They definitely respond very vigorously within 24 hours of being fed as bud girth, trichome coverage and plant height increases quite noticeably within that day after feeding.
Since this is week four im going to pump a little more GrowBig in them to up the nitrogen levels for that midflower hunger. Ill back off on the AN Bloom for this next feed as to avoid overferting.

I have a bottle of blackstrap that i used last year and im wondering if i should throw it in the mix. i think i will for weeks 6-7. I will probably get a flush cleaning solution for the last week or so.

Update Day 31 of 12/12

Update Day 31 of 12/12

The smell is increasing day by day. So far the smell is confined to the closet, but id guess in a couple weeks it will want to explore the room :0. Ill handle it here in a few days.

They are begining to start the filling out as i see calyxes growing outwards now. I dont think theyll grow up much more than an inch at this point. They didnt stretch much at all, but i think they are at a good height for several different reasons. light penetration, airflow, positioning of the lights to the exhuast.

I hope this resin production is not hype and that this strain packs strong potency.

If you're worried about the smell, I'd handle that pronto. I've had them go from somewhat stinky to smelling it right outside the front door in one day.

Passed the halfway point and things are looking good. I added a dose of blackstrap molasses to the mix. Ill probably keep feeding them molasses until week 7 if they respond well.

Thanks everyone for the comments so far. Im soo psyched to see calyxes swell and tighten. Hopefully they are big masses of swollen calyxes encrusted in trichs by chop time in a few weeks. Im going to harvest with 10-20% amber most likely :)

Some more progress, a few of the buds have reached to within an inch of the light. so still some upward growth taking place. The smell is a bit stronger. That fuely orange smell that my last batch of widows smelled like is quite distinct.

With roughly 20 days to go, im getting anxious. Thanks for all the comments!

Update Day 41-42 of 12/12

The last picture is from today(day 42) the others are from day 41.
i got to make sure these plants dont dry out. i usually water every 3 days, but the leaves go from straight to droopy in like 6 hours. I need to catch them before they droop.

Update Day 46 of 12/12

still the tops on the bigger colas have stretch up and the light strip needs to be moved up one final time (1/2 inch).

Outside surprise.... The grapefruit krush and SSOG are under such low light that they have been flowering, and yes the ssog WAS female. i could have swore that the preflowers were male, they had no visible stigmas and appeared in the male flower shape instead of a calyx. The ssog is barely into flowering whereas the GF krush has a decent little bud of probably 3-4 weeks now. She refused to branch but the ssog responds very well to branching.

Update Day 49 of 12/12

These pics are from last night. Look at how many fresh pistils and calyxes there are. They almost want to be watered every two days now. Probably 2-3 more feeds before flush time.

Im curious to see how the roots look, although there arent any ascending root growth at the soil surface or above, so they couldnt be too cramped.

It will probably be 2 weeks till these are ripe enough for me.
