What are you reading? Nowhere in my post did I say what you posted?. I never said The Senate votes to decide whether impeachment occurs?
Again this is exactly what I posted.

Impeachment is when a POTUS commits crimes or uses the office for illegal activities. There's more to it than this, you will have to look it up to get details. The House does the investigation and provides the evidence to the Senate. The Senate holds the trial based on the evidence the house provides.


IMO the house has nothing that can stop any POTUS without the Senate. Getting impeached means squat as we can see. Being found guilty by the Senate is much more serious. This will lead to removal and prevents any from running for office again.


To add onto that If your a convicted felon you can still run for POTUS.

Just downloaded a bit more than 200 Mb. You get an archive of *.json files. You can open with a text editor, but content tells me less. BUT... at the end of the files there are data.. Data like this...

An ethical hacker from Austria recently took to Twitter to share "unprocessed raw files" as uploaded to Parler with all metadata, showing information such as megapixels, average bitrate, GPS latitude and longitude of suspected insurrectionists who may have been involved in the January 6 Capitol Hill unrest.

This is exactly what you will find in the files. Also info about screen resolution etc. When you download it, be aware that this is a 200 MB archive with more than a million little *.json files. My PC worked a while just to open the archive and delete the data again.

The reason I took exception is because there is no trial. The whole thing is presented and overseen by lawyers, yes, but it’s not a trial. The idea that the impeachment in and of itself means nothing is a significant cultural slip from the days of the founders. It’s a *problem*, and I wanted to underscore the fact that at the time of the constitution, impeachment was not a dry technicality, it was a serious blow to a person’s character and standing in the community. Those things don’t mean anything anymore, but it was intended to be a permanent slap in the face, a mark of disgrace. That’s what Franklin, Jefferson, Hamilton meant it to be: the shameful end of a public career.

We think the Senate has the only important role because they decide on punishment. Sure; like I said, things have changed, but this ought to be the “mark of OJ” on him for the rest of his life; it’s kind of tragic that the moral weight of the House of representatives is so weak. I think it’s a sign of our corruption, our drift from the vision we still pledge allegiance to - but that’s probably just me.

I’m not wearing you out about this, I hope you know that...I just think it’s a real important thing to be clear about. I was motivated. Didn’t mean to jostle you.

impeachment begins to look like small change
when you compare it to the business melt down that Trump inc. is getting
he's becoming radioactive, a pariah
add that to his legal problems which are to appear in 8 days or so
Trump's mind is being severely challenged
