Added the cardboard to cover the res, i dont know if the blue top was light
proof enough. Healthy growth continues to take over the plant however on
some nodes it seems as if the leaves no longer have sets of five and seem to
be growing in pairs, it almost looks as if it were a seedling again.

Things are going well, hopefully i can clone this thing within 2 or 3 weeks and
test this baby for sex, the nodes are really growing in close together.

Patience, is something i can still use practice at you give me too much credit
However new genetics come from a couple hour drive away and I have school
and work everyday so getting out there sucks.

Things goin ok


Until I tell you its been 5 weeks now and this thing is just takin off... Plan is to
take a couple cuttings and designate one to become a new mother, and just
simply flower this plant.

Any ideas on if i topped this plant and tucked it into my res would the plant
develope a second set of roots? Seems kinda nutty to do, any experiences with
doing this?

I read, somewhere, about doing that. The guy never wrote about his results tho. Try it out, and keep us posted. I would, but I dont wanna fuck up my first grow, haha.

i don't think the res is the best for starting roots with the high ppm.
maybe top it and put a rapid rooter on the topped portion and bend plant over and "hope" for roots. i think covering it with a baggy would be perfect to see if it roots and to keep the moisture of the plug. that would be pretty cool to see.

Didint even consider ppms and ph , gotta a little ahead of myself. So,
unfortunately this concept has to hold off for me to sex my plant. Check back
soon thought, this is not a dead concept (how fast can a rerooted DWC plant
VEG!?)

Once my mother is a proven female this will be my next mission.
Meanwhile cruise here to learn some more on rerooting. (serpentine layering?)

Yeah i cant wait to try it, in fact i am so antsy to do something i decided to
to pull out the ol screen for som serious DWC vegetation:

While i wait for roots in my clones, i figured if i plan to flower the mother i should
be training this tangled mess of vegetation. Also the roots have literally
exploaded inside the res and i can only imagine thats is what is in store outside
the res over the next few days. As soon as i get one clone to root, im firing up
the HPS and goin 12/12.
