If getting rid of O2 is the goal then get some O2 absorbing packets. It is raw iron that sucks up the O2 to form rust.

I use pickle jars and freeze them.

For storage I use 1L mason jars but I find my quality drops around 9 or 10 months depending on the strain and how often I open the jar. This thread has encouraged me to look at vacuum sealing jars.

What is best long term, freeze or refrigerate??
Hey man, I don't have personal experience doing this but @VerdantGreen and people in the thread I pasted below seem to have good luck with freezing. BTW I have always felt that you have the best avatar on this site, makes me laugh every time lol.
