Has there ever been a champion more dominant than Ronda?

In periods of time like this, yes. silva looked this dominant for longer, imo. theres been a few other runs by fighters that compare. but she is still going n not looking to be slowing down any time soon. I hope she gives us a few good more years of fights to watch, n doesn't sail off in the sun set to commercials n Hollywood.

Its been fun to watch these Tyson-like ferocious victories by rr. But im hungry for a real competition where she has to battle for a few rounds, instead of bulldozing thru a person in 15 seconds.

I was wondering if rr was gonna back off after she knocked bette silly, so she could punish her like she said pre fight. but she didn't, she steam rolled that chick right into oblivion.

Anderson Silva and Jon Jones both had this kind of run where they took over their divisions and dominated all challengers for years. Ronda seems like she's on the level of guys like Anderson and GSP now. She's one of the best P4P martial artists of all time.

Cyborg looks like Ronda's biggest challenge today. Ronda would make millions if she goes up 5 pounds for a catchweight fight with Cyborg.

Total domination on the ground by Maia. It's hard to say who's the P4P best jiu jitsu fighter in MMA. Maia is in the top 3 at least.
Maia lost to Jake Shields, who just lost to Palhares. all 3 guys are grapplers, so i think is safe to say that Toquinho is the best grappler, at least at 170lbs.

IMO for all of MMA, Werdum is the best bjj fighter, followed by jacare and then possibly Palhares

no. I am starting to think it is not so much because of her skills but her opponents just are not that good. no man has ever beaten people like that

I don't think it's automatic that Palhares beats Maia. It might be like a rock / paper / scissors thing. Palhares is awesome though. It sucks that they kicked him out of the UFC.

Werdum is obviously the best jiu jitsu fighter in MMA. In the pound for pound rankings, Werdum, Jacare, Maia, Shields, and Palhares have to be in the top 5. Not in that order.

Im a big believer that styles make fights. A good example is chuck liddell, wanderlei silva, and rampage. Wandy destroyed Rampage on two brutal occassions (although Rampage did redeem himself). Rampage has knocked Chuck out twice. Therefore, one would assume Wandy would destroy Chuck as well. But that wasnt the case when they fought.

I would love to watch maia and paul harris go at it. Too bad hes such a psycho. He pulled the same shit on shields, shields tapped like 4 times, and after dude still torqued his shoulder another 30 degrees til the tef stops him. Jake is lucky he didnt have a leg...

Palhares has a weird flaw as a fighter. He doesn't know how to stop when he's won the fight and made his opponent tap out. That's the only reason why he isn't in the UFC. I don't understand it, but he's a dangerous guy. He would beat most of the top welterweights in the UFC.

If that`s the case .
Allan Belcher would beat them all ? He neutralised Paul Harris`s leg lock game . Though that was at 185 . Also Nate Marquardt ?
And are you forgetting Lombard KO,`d Paul Harris at 170 ?

Thanks for sharin

EB .

I know Palhares isn't invincible. Everyone knows he's going to go for a leg lock, but he still gets it the majority of the time. He doesn't get it every single time.

Nate Marquardt is one of my all time favorite fighters. :) I wanted him to win that fight. It was disappointing the way it actually happened. He had the right stategy against Palhares. Get warmed up and sweaty before the fight, and it will be easier to slip out of the leg lock. He did that, and then he knocked Palhares out when he was distracted talking to the ref. I don't blame Marquardt for anything. It was just an anticlimactic end to what should have been a great fight.

Allan Belcher could definitely beat anyone on a given night. And Lombard is one of the best welterweights in the world, just because he beat palhares doesn't mean palhares isn't top 10

Aoki is one of the great jiu jitsu specialists who had success in MMA, but not on the same level as his jiu jitsu skills. His biggest test was the fight with Gilbert Melendez. He looked good briefly; he just couldn't handle Gilbert's strength and wrestling ability.

Aoki is great though. I've been watching MMA for over 20 years. Aoki is the only guy I've seen win a fight by gogoplata, other than Nick Diaz.

(Well.... He's "too far away from the action at Times" ! Especially when they were grappling on the floor 4 Sure,Herb or John would of been Straight in their imo..

Cus of this (mostly), must say Seemed a little Lame Compared too UFC
