She also almost got played on the hush money aspect of the whole deal too. Trump and thru Trump, Cohen, took her and her lawyer for suckers and tried to slow walk the payment until after the election at which point if they succeed they wouldn't pay her since the election would be over and therefore the reason to hush her up would no longer be needed. Fortunately both her and her lawyer were too smart for that and they made Trump well technically Cohen, pay as promised.
Her vulnerability gave an impression of credibility and more points on the board for the prosecution. If they can make her believable, maybe they can do the same with Cohen.
It wasn't so much her vulnerability in my opinion but that she had the spine to stand up to the attack they attempted in the cross questioning. She managed to make them look like complete idiots. Not only did she manage to get referencing Trump as "the Orange Turd" into the court record but by the way she stood up to the questioning she caused what many were saying was the best lawyer in Trump's defense, to refer to Trump as the "Orange Turd" repeatedly. At the same time she managed to make it appear to the jury that she was being badgered incessantly over a point that really at the end of the day had almost no relevence to the actual charges Trump was facing.

Yeah I figured that's what you were referencing. I'm just saying that I don't think that made much of a difference with the jury. Afterall she did put herself in that position by agreeing to accept a dinner invitation in the hotel room of someone she didn't really know and thereby putting herself alone with this virtual stranger. Most reasonable people would conclude that the invitation was seeking more then just a dinner guest. The way she was able to resist what they were trying to do with the cross examination though made it look like Trump's llawyers were trying to bully her into changing her story and I heard several reports from people in the courtroom that indicated that bullying of her seemed to piss off the jury.

Well I can only speak for myself but I would have expected exactly what happened, but then again that's only because the things you listed like being convicted of sexual assault, being a self describe pussy grabber, and all that we learned of him since 2016 are all pretty common knowledge now. This all went down in 2008. Still even given that Stormy should have known it would turn out the way it did. Actually she probably did know but just figured she would be able to out manuever the "Orange Turd", after all she was still in her 20's back then. Also the reason she went deeeper then most people wanted was because of the incompetence of the "Orange Turd's" lawyers. Most of the details of the sexual act of the night was supposed to have been able to be excluded which was agreed upon with the judge prior to Stormy Daniels taking the witness stand. Alas the "Orange Turd's" lawyers failed to object as much as they should have and in so not doing they created the openng for most of the testimony of what happened that night (like the "Orange Turd" requesting to be spanked with a rolled up Playboy featuring him on the cover) because the lawyers didn't object when that came up. The judge even scolded them for not objecting more when they tried to seek a mistrial afterwards. Thankfully Stormy recognized the opportunity that created and took full advantage of it.
Yeah, the Grand finale of the prosecution's case will be Cohen and between the years of service to the "Orange Turd", all the saved documentation and secret recordings, plus all the corroboration from the previous witnesses Cohen is just the person to tie everything together. Of course the defense will try to attack heavily the fact that Cohen is a convicted liar but it's important to recognize that the lies he was convicted of was done in order to benefit Trump. No doubt Cohen has been waiting a long time for thiis day to come so that he can pay the "Orange Turd" back for the way he used Cohen and then left him high and dry to sit in jail. In the past few weeks Cohen has been very careful to not give the defense any new ammunition by keeping fairly quite about the prosecution's case. It should hopefully make for some very interesting reporting about the trial.
