case is edging forward day at a time
not much talk of presidential pardon at the moment
interesting thing how the pardon works
there has to be a guilty finding before it can be applied
so let us say Mr. Stone pleads guilty, one way of using the pardon
well, this is where it gets dicey, never had a president who's issued a pardon in which he was part of the crime(just saying)
SCOTUS may say 'sorry Roger, that ain't flying'
case is returned to the court to which he plead guilty in for sentencing
also known as screwsville, thinking he may stick with the not guilty plea

Some like Manafort are facing state charges as well. POTUS can only pardon federal convictions.

Southern District of New York delivered subpoenas to Trumps Inaugural Committee today.

Where did the money come from? Middle East or.... with straw donors?

Where did the $107m fund go for a celebration half the size of Obama's with a small turnout and no big name entertainment?

There was also a story a week or so ago about how 40 million dollars of that money was missing with nothing to show where it went.

The only derangement is in the Whitehouse, unless you are a denier, eh stewart.

They released trumps schedule today showing he does nothing but watch tv and tweet.
No wonder his base loves him so much...he’s just like them....

If a pardon is used to protect someone or keep someone out of trouble, it’s called obstruction, which is probably why it’s not tried a lot.

If a president were to issue a pardon for one thing, it would not cover separate crimes. Nothing stopping a pardoned person from testifying about other, even related illegal stuff.

Important to remember that acceptance of a pardon is legally equivalent to a confession of the act(s) pardoned, and IIRC a detailed confession is required for acceptance.

In other words, one can’t be pardoned for a crime one didn’t commit.
Likely *not* the outcome the Resident would prefer.

Speaking of Mike Pence, even you die-hard trumpers gotta admit- Pence is a world-class suck up! Who could have guessed that Mike had such an affinity for being a little lap doggie. Who wouldn't take him behind the gym and beat the crap out of him?

I wouldn't.

I could care less.

I even liked Trump - until he showed his true colors.

He talked Maverick but he's not really a Maverick.

As far as Pence - OH MY GOD what a job he has !

That meeting with Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer, with Pence staring at the floor.

I hate to say it, but I almost feel like he earned his salary.

Like his time as VP is some sort of strange Chinese water torture.

this has to be one of the more pitiful views of a man being degraded in public
it really is sad, though i'd also say it's some just desserts being served up
this is his legacy, his time with Trump, hell arrived early for Mr. Pence
