What's new

The Seedless System

What up GrowBox, dude i really hate to say this, but i think u need to start over. You need at least a couple 6400k<--(or close to it) 23watter's thats for veggin. I got mine from wally world, i think they came in a 2 pack for around like $7. The sprouts need to be close to the lights that will help with the streching. You need to veg at least a week so the roots can get going. When you flip to 12/12 you need some 2700k cfl's and you need appx. 50 watts per square foot.

(6400k) That is the color of light, its the blueish lookin light
(2700k) its the orangish redish light

no offense intend , but growbox420 you should really read up on well everything, but start with lights and what you need based upon what you want to achieve then work on how to cool that and everything else related to creating a growspace, once you have read up on that and are feeling comfortable move onto how to grow.

i just figure that if we just keep giving you answers you will be lead down a very bumpy path and not have a good experience, i know your excited and want to jump right in.

but lets start here, approximately you need 5000+lumens per sqft of grow space at canopy level to allow the plants to grow effectively, you can use hps, mh, cfl's, and or leds for this, but you can decide whats best for you (cfl's are the easiest to get, and contray to above 2700k is fine for both vegging and flower, its just not optimal), then figure out how many you need for your grow area, and then you have a good start, all you have to do next is figure out how to cool it, and then your on your way

start there and the rest will fall into place, that and read up on some peoples build threads, such as ngb box, or whatever

Just set up the 150w!!!!

Just set up the 150w!!!!

:dance013:I just got some new goodies:dance013:
I just got a sun system 150w compact system which weighs about 7.lbs and spits out 16,000 lumen's. The only negative that I have is that it is extremely hot and I am running it only an 1.5 from the top of my cab. I have been looking for a fan to put in there like BCchronics set up one under the ballast and one pushing air on the light. I used painting hanging wire through the loops provided on the system and secured them at the opposite ends, so this mean if I really need to lower it(this would be from your suggestions) it would be to much of a hassle. I am currently still running the sour d seed that came from a medi coop but looking to maybe through in some clones.
Thanks for checkin it out deuces

Whattup bro!

Nice glass AND new light!

What are the temps at now? You will notice that the plant will stay stunted if they are too high! This could be your main cause of being so lanky and no strong node growth.

Just my 2cents

I dont have a thermometer in there yet that is next plus a fan. I,m thinking about doing what you did and venting out the bottom and cutting a nice size hole in the cab and just make something to hold the plants up over it.

Good shit about the new light bud. Now you will be producing quality homegrown buds, and youll be on your path to self reliance. I see your plant is still alive and Im sure now you will start noticing improved growth over that standard bulb. Even if you dont have ventilation yet for the 150w you should atleast put a 5-10 dollar fan in there just to help circulate air. It'll help for sure you know. Other than that lookin great man, keep it up and just keep reading as much as you know and you'll be there before you know it. Take care bud

Keep Growin & Be Safe

Cheeze and Sour D

Cheeze and Sour D

I have been doing a little training and she is looking good I'm trying to grow her in a circle. I dont know what I want to do with this new clone that I got last night. I dont know if I should top or just let it grow it seems that it has some nice shots going so idk. Any here is some shots I raised them up so they can get the most out of the penetration. Got some ghetto fan that I will be putting in tonight when the lights turn on so Ill take a pic of that when it gets in there.
Happy Veterans Day and Thank you to all the veterans :thank you:
The new clone is a Cheeze and the LST is a Sour D

well i fucked up my clone, i burnt the shit out of it by putting it to close to the light. My lady told me too that it would be to close but I was like "na this fan will take care of it" when I woke up it was burnt and shoots were dead so I read a little and just trimmed them out and tried to LST it a little I post some pics when they wake up. My circle sour d is doing bomb though which makes me happy :)

Transplanted the cheeze and did a little bit of LST with picture hanging wire that shit works great. I think I'm going to transplant the Sour D into a green pot like the other one. I'm wondering when I'm going to start to see little hair's(nugs) its been in 12/12 for a while.
Does anyone know anything about topping during 12/12?
Also I need a small carbon filter either one I buy or a DIY I look at some but was wondering if their is anyone that may have experience with carbon filters and micro environments.

Hey!!
looking great in there!!!
SmilinBob is right...if you go to the DIY linkarama, sugarbear's thread on micro scrubbers is excellent...
toppoing now will shock your plant but slow LST is your best bet....
great work bro!!!
take care

The cab is starting to get stinky... I have looked around on these DIY links about carbon scrubbers but they dont say much about fans. Also I was thinking about putting mylar in the cab and was wondering if this would increase the heat?
Does any one have any ideas about what kind of fan I would need to run a DYI scrubber and how man cfm would be needed?(I dont want to spend a bunch of money on a can fan)
The cheeze is getting big and taking over the cab and the sour doesnt get to much direct light (thats why I wanted to use some mylar). The sour d isnt budding as crazy as the cheeze but there is still hairs.

Hey!!
first you need to know the cubic feet of your grow space..length times width times height...Then you take in to account the light/s, and scrubber..the air has to be recycled 3 times a minute...so a 90 cfm fan would clear a 9 cubic foot box 3 times a minute for example...it will do it 10 times actually!! get a 151 cfm to 200cfm fan if you can...with the scrubber you will barely hear it..
Did you check out the Delta fans?? They are cheap and most decent computer stores should sell them for no more than 30 bucks...I use the strongest fan I can to take into account the lights/scrubber etc...
hope this helps!!

Remodeled...

Remodeled...

Well I have been busy doing a little work on the cab and it is looking nice. Instead of studying for finals I have been screwing around with my new hobbie. I went to a hard ware store and paid a bunch of money for the parts for a DIY carbon scrubber. I was bummed and ended up paying $60 for the materials and $10 for a 120mm PCfan that pushs 78cfm's. I am wondering if that much cfm's will work for a carbon scrubber 18in" tall with a 4" core and 6" outside. I made a stoner mistake and forgot the panty hoe on the outside and only put this carbon filter stuff. I then put the carbon pellets in and they started coming out I sort of just rigged it up so it works. LOL At least it dosent stink any more. I also put a new back on the cab which is nice and sturdy.
I have some yellow green leaves and am wondering what might be causing this? (nutes deficiency is what I have been told)

Also is my wire job on the pc fan going to catch fire I used duct tape to hold the wires together instead of electrical tape?

And do I need to close this gap on the scrubber and intake(the pic with the arrow)?
