I have some Ingrid from elemental and it's rated at 18+% thc

Here's harborsides:
Ingrid (I/S)
14.11% THC, 16.63% THCA

Nowhere can any cannabis higher than the low 20% range be found at harborside while several above 25% are at elemental. Is elemental just selling higher thc cannabis or is it grading symantics?

I doubt that the sample was more than 30% combined THC and THCa.

If you take that 16.63 number and multiply by .85 you arrive close to the 14.11.

The 16.63 number is close to the 18% number reported by the other place.

When labs test raw flowers they look for both THC and THCA. Usually raw buds will be mostly all THCA compared to the amount of actual THC present, but this all depends on how long they have been cured, exposed to oxygen or heat.

The lab will then usually give you a total percentage by weight of the THCA using a conversion scale (.85?) and add in the amount of actual THC present in the flowers to give you a total THC% you should have when the flowers are decarboxylated.

THCA X .85 + THC = advertised THC %
