Croptober yepp, well i started in the little plugs for test.I think isn't easy for automatic strains because they like one big pot and do proper system roots already.Anyway i am happy this grow, fast and compact I will try on new seeds this strain in big pots.

holla all T5 growers, I have a Q for ya.
a bro just gave me a 4ft 4 tube T5 but the clown cut the cable 6"from the unit.
So it needs to have a new plug fitted. Also there is no on.off switch
(would that be on the cable? or not needed?)
One problem, there are 4 wire's in the flex on the T5, brown,blue,green/yellow and Black? Not usually a black?
How do i wire that? whats the 4 th wire for ? a switch?

Not sure. It's not lightwave. Inside everything is phillips. Bulbs an all.
i can add a pic of the T5 unit and the connection block if that helps?

Girls for T5 run are Vegging now, under 216 watts (4 tubes of the 4' 8 tube fixture).

Not familiar with the 'colors' on your wires.

Guessing that the switch was 'in line' previously? ... the switch probably quit, or was needed elsewhere.

You might search the web for a unit that comes with an inline switch? My HydroFarms 4' 8 tube, has two (2) on off switches on the housing. Each one controls 4 tubes.

Afraid I'm not much help, but maybe it'll give you a direction to go.

EDIT; You could probably figure it out if you took the reflector off so you can see the ballasts and see what their wire colors are.

Have you taken the reflector off? There is probably a wiring diagram on the ballasts, if not one for the whole fixture.

Should tell you what's hot and what's common,,,, and what's ground.
