any legumes will be helpful as nitrogen fixers pipeline, some will compete heavily with rootspace though and reduce soil area for the ganja plants. any of the low growing pea varities, garden or sweet would be ideal companions. they do not anchor and tap root down so far like other legumes. the peas will compete with surface weeds, grasses and such

This sweet pea I am going to plant has a tap root. The one I transplanted mid summer last year had a large dominant tap root that was 3/8" wide. Its a perennial, I think you planted annual peas.

Makes sense. Clover is the go-to legume usually for cover crops of course, but it grows pretty deep I think. Clover is very thick and may choke out more roots, but it would fix more N too if there was plenty of air an water it may be best. I would experiment with clover, they use that on mounds on the large 10+ lb cannabis plants.

Ever heard of this? Eating in a sympathetic state inhibits your digestive system from working as well.

I avoid eating while on the computer.

Sympathetic state: Your sympathetic nervous system is what causes the "flight or fight" response that allows your body to adapt to stress or anxiety. In today's society, people are in a constant state of stress due to finances, raising a family, negative news stories, traffic, work pressures, and many other things. When your body is in a sympathetic state, it continuously releases adrenalin into the bloodstream to deal with the stressful situation. Once the stress reaction is gone, it leaves the body exhausted and hungry. When the body is in a sympathetic state, the digestive tract stops working and can even treat food as a toxin. Our bodies are not designed to eat when we are in a fight or flight situation. They are designed to run or get away from the stressful situation. When people eat in a sympathetic state, the digestive system shuts down and does not work properly, leading to a poorly digested and assimilated meal. The ability to break down, absorb, and process food is restricted and may cause weight gain, digestive upset, gas, degenerative conditions, and even bloating.

Examples of eating in a sympathetic state:

  • Eating while in the car driving
  • Eating at your desk at work
  • Eating while working on the computer
  • Eating after a stressful work situation
  • Eating while talking on the phone
  • Eating while arguing with someone
  • Eating while depressed or anxious
  • Eating at a sporting event
  • Eating while watching TV
  • Eating in a loud fast-food restaurant
  • Eating while on stimulant prescription drugs
  • Eating too fast.
Parasympathetic state: The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for relaxation, healing, repairing, and recharging your body. When you are in a relaxed state or parasympathetic state, your body is not dealing with stress and can break down, digest, and absorb the nutrients from your food. The fastest and easiest way to put your body in a parasympathetic relaxation response is through deep breathing. Research has shown that deep breathing can quickly calm the body and mind. It causes the muscles to relax, the lungs to expand, and the heart rate to drop. Eastern cultures have used this technique for thousands of years to reduce stress, prevent weight gain, and achieve physiological balance within the body. Deep breathing can be done anywhere and anytime before meals to activate and support your digestive process. It should also be practiced after every stressful situation you encounter.

The 2-Minute Deep Breathing Relaxation Exercise

To relax your body before meals or during a stressful situation, find a quiet area to sit, close your eyes, and take nine deep breaths starting from deep in your belly all the way up through your upper lungs. Breathe in through your nose slowly until your lungs are fully inflated and then breathe out through your mouth until you push all the air out.
NOTE: Be aware that many people who have food allergies typically eat in a sympathetic state. This is because the body treats the food as a toxin, allergen, or threat and initiates an immune response toward the food. If you suffer from food allergies, start performing the deep breathing exercises before meals. You should start noticing better digestion and less allergic reactions within months.

Dr. Group has a deep understanding, the theory must have some physiological basis I assume.

God wants you to relax and eat with Him. A good meditation, God Almighty is our friend! He wants to speak with us. :smoke:

My friend with the anxiety attacks is doing better his dad told me. This morning after a 24 hour period, they were looking at going to a hospital, but he is more relaxed now.

Opened a new fruity jar to get him some flower, and must have been really strong herb. He was just saying how good it was and it tasted like Apple candy spice. Seemed to be a good therapy for him, but at times this Sativa Candy Chunk cultivar can produce anxiety and I was are of those terpene qualities.

Found an individual plant in the new jar that was more relaxing and comforting and had good potency too, Sadly I will have to wait until next year to grow it. Too slow to test smoke... smoke:

Cannabis is hard for people to wrap their head around, but he was gone all day with dad at a park unable to medicate. I think he was just medicating too fast to make up and over did it. If they would just let people make their own choice and allow them to medicate as they need without the stigma and discrimination, patients like my friend would find the varieties that work for them, and use them in a way that benefits them.

People try to say its only getting patients high and equating it with alcohol, but its a therapeutic which they cannot understand. His dad doesn't let him medicate, so he has to go on a walk and get bombed out on a pipe or 2 instead of having a slow drip low to moderate dose all day.
