Question - Expected Yield on my Setup

Bob has this setup his going to try!

Organic Soil Grow.
25 ft by 30 ft.
24/0 first 3 weeks
20/4 last 7 or so weeks.
Mylar will be used all over the place.


120 Plants in Soil Bags
4 x 600W HPS -Digital Ballast
4 x 600W MH - Digital Ballast
Large 8" blower out / and x1 intake
------------------------------
Great Quality Organic Medium
Fox Farms Ocean - Mix
Black Gold brand Rose and Flower
Some other Bloom / Root Neurts

I'm thinking about tieing down weight to branchs/cutting bottom leafs.

Seeds: Autoflowering mi5 and maybe sour 60? If I can find it.

What can I expect a yield to be?
Any opinions on changing anything?
Should I use Co2? -- I'm sacred about danger it imposes possibly

Is this your lighting times? Are you only vegging?

It is next to impossible to even guess at your yield with such limited information.

To 120 plants ? I don't think so.
To train that many plants you should probably use SCROG.
Also, imho, never 'cut' leaves. Wait till they are YELLOW and can be easily plucked off with a gentle tug.
The plant drains any leaves it doesn't need from the food/juices it contains.
(Don't mistake that yellowing for pH problems/N Def)

As for yield, the range is very wide, and totally dependable on the growing conditions. Autos can yield anything from 2 grams to 50 (over 50, while not common, HAS been accomplished). If you go with a SCROG you will be pushing the strain to it's limit yield wise.
Also, if you want a proper yield, atleast give a gal of soil. You can go with a little less if you use coco+perlite.

25' x 30'? If you run all your lights together they really only cover a 10 x 10 area. Yield has a lot to do with experience. Is this your first grow?

The general rule is 1 g per watt if you know your stuff more if your a master. With a crop of autos in 70 days I would expect less but I've never run those strains. My best guess 5+ lbs, do I get a prize if I'm close? Good luck!

This is a bigger grow in terms of size. Alot bigger over 100 plants bigger lol.

Though, how much lighting should I use?
I'm thinking about using 3gal soil bags.

How much more maintance will that require. I was thinking about taking care of water and other things... every other day.... or every 3 days, is that possible ?

If you do your shit right you'll get at least .5 grams per watt and then you'll learn your plants and be able to maximize them better for the next round and maybe you'll get up to 1 gram per watt if you'll completely dialed in.

FoCo is absolutely correct. Let me start by saying I would like to help you get a garden started. That being said, If you do not even know that cannabis (or almost all flowering/fruiting plants) require a 12/12 light cycle to trigger flowering, then you need to slam on the brakes. Before you get ahead of your self let's assess your wants/needs. You seem to want to try organic soil growing. your best bet is to grab one of those 600W lights and try to produce something smokable. You need to read, read, read!!! There are a shit ton of sticky threads and others that cover the very basics of growing.

First lesson is basic light cycles. There are two different light cycles; one for vegetative growth (on/off-18/6,20/4,24/0) and one for flowering (12/12). The reason for the change is to mimic the shortening days in the beginning of Fall.

You were asking about yields. If you just jump in and try to do a giant setup with next to no knowledge of growing, you will end up disappointed. You will waste money, time, and effort. You will probably end up with the same amount of buds from the major setup as you would with learning on a smaller scale. I know I sound like I am talking down to you, and I apologize for that. I will help you to the end of my abilities, but you have to start off by helping yourself. and If I were you I would consider splitting your one large area into two smaller rooms. It's called a perpetual garden. Since you will have two separate rooms (one for each light cycle) you can always have plant in veg and flower. Stagger it properly and learn what your doing and we can get you pulling an easy two pounds a month with less equipment than you have listed above. Good luck and lets make you a pot farmer!!

So I'm an asshole and just realized you were running autoflowering strains. I'm sooooo sorry. I am doing my first autos this run so i'm learning too. I have spoken with several gardeners that have first hand knowledge. They all say about the same thing, 24/0 until your final few weeks of flower and drop it to 12/12.

Again, I'm sorry for the "your an idot but i won't say it strait out" post. You can see how, without the knowledge of the autoflowers, I would think that you had no business going that big.

I did LST 1 of the Mi5s last year and saw no increase in yield, so unless height is an issue it may not be worth it. I grew them in 3 gallon pots which were a good size for them. Dwarfs will do fine in 2 gallon.

From what i have learned and read about these autos is that a 12/12 cycle seems to diminish the actual yield of the plant due to the automatic nature of the plant. I currently have a mossy jem at three weeks 2 days and the lights have been 18/4 the whole time. Flower kicked in at 2 weeks on the nose and they haven't slowed any this far. It all comes down to light saturation and the amount of light you are dealing with. You can give our fave plants to much light. You have to take in consideration of light saturation.

As far as light saturation goes you need to be mindful. In a 24/0 grow you run the risk of the actual photosynthesis process breaking down and the chlorophyll being damaged thus resulting in yellowing and bleaching of the plants. If you want the best out of your grow i feel you need to focus on the root system. If you have happy, healthy roots you will have a higher yielding, greener plant. Its like a building, if the foundation isnt strong the building will fall, but if it was well built it will stand the elements.....

and take some time and some tape and fix those leaks dude. I mean it dosent take much to stop it, and your plants will thank you

Yes, they were started indoors under a 175 watt MH in 4" square x 5" deep pots. At about 3 weeks they were transplanted into 3 gallon pots. Daylight when they were put outdoors was about 13 1/2 hours. I didn't start them till July 22nd, which would have been fine for dwarfs but was a little late for these. Ran into some cool nights later on that slowed them down and they ended up taking about 14 weeks.
