Try nirvana seeds cheap and from what I've read good, quality strains i'm currently growing their white widow. Get some foxfarm ocean forest soil and their nutrients are also pretty good as well(just my opinion). Don't give up when you get it down you'll be much happier and it definitely pays for itself. Also if you can afford it a 150 hps light would be a good investment although i'm not to sure how it'll work with your space in that cabinet. Costs anywhere from 40 bucks which has no ballast and you have to ghetto rig or you can buy one from a hydroponics store for like 85 and all you have to do is plug it into the wall.

I was looking into HPS lighting systems... definitely something I want to do. Times are pretty tough, no job = no money = no HPS haha

hey semperfi, i def like your setup man, very low-key and very neat.
Im using 200w cfl at the moment and although in my cab i could use a 150w hps, i can tell you, for your purposes, 200w is plenty. Im assuming your space is no bigger than 2' x 2'.

What i'd focus on at this point is getting ur hands on some high quality genetics... in your space it might be an idea to look into some feminized strains so you can grow from seed with as few hiccups as possible. Greenhouse and Big Buddha both have a lot of good choices, they even have 5 packs available if money is real tight.

If not, Nirvana, Mandala and Growdoc are always good bets.

Best of luck to you man, i have a feeling with a little bit of care and attention that nightstand can produce some fantastic bud.

yeah i feel you, it'll just increase your yield and the penetration is way better than a cfl but i'm not saying they wont work.
