Thanks budrunner but looks can be deceiving. I got some full on defencies going on that i haven't been able to correct. Too late to worry about in now anyways, they're almost done. 1-2 weeks at most to go then its chop time. This will be the last time for a while that i do a soil run, the next run will be an organic hydro.
awesome thread everyone. i'll be sticking around to see the overall result's.
so whats the decision? we stay on this thread or blast off on a new one? i have two lil girls(hopefully) ready to take off! outta four i had one not come out of its shell, one came out an inch and fell over dead, one that has mutant leaves (may grow out) and a really nice strong lookin one! heres my one week olds. i'm soooo proud! thanks PB

the only reason Id say to start another thread is becuase were not growing lightstorm exactly...its ls x swt#3

All it takes is for someone to start a thread titled Test Grows: Sweet Tooth #3 x Lightstorm and everyone start putting thier info and pics in it. I would start one but I won't be able to grow mine until this fall.

I don't see why we'd want a completely different thread, this one thread is suffice not to mention it doesn't exclude PurpleBuddy's other genetics that we may be growing

Same thread sounds good too, either way I'm hoping to get things going at the end of the week. I too had thought a new strain, a new thread. I'll post here unless someone has a better idea, I'll also be glad to start a new thread but my threads are usually treated like a red head step child and no one pays them any mind so I don't recommend my name as the thread starter unless we want a quiet thread.
I'm hoping to get some beans soaking Thursday nite and then in some soil Friday nite. Hopefully before the weekend is over I'll have some sprouts.

where the hell did purplebud go anway? havent heard from gpd since before I recieved my beans...
I still say another thread would be good. and like 2buds said..most of my threads are ignored for some reason....sooo who knows. I still think a ls x swt#3 thread would be easier. that way we dont have 11 pages of other stuff..

Jay-I wondered the same thing about purp. Dropped him an email last nite to see if all is well for purp. I hope no test packs had reprocussions. PB is a stand up guy, I never imagined getting something as a gift that I was hoping to buy. Just shows there are still good folks in this world. Jay if your threads are treated like mine then a new thread may be good as the trolls don't seem to follow us around and it would contain nothing but our test grows. So unless someone starts one between now and Thursday, I'll start one with my first pics of the beans going in the soak cup. :smile:

Oreganic: I'm very glad you got your care package once again! Proving that a little ingenuity and recycling can fool most customs officers! I can't wait to see the Lightstorm BX1 in action. I expect pure bliss from those seeds, they are the next on my "seeds to try" list. I'm just organizing my stuff again, soon the HPS lamps will be shining like never before. Again, glad to see you posting around here!

hey all, back.
I've got a mate who is growing a lightstorm cutting i sent him, he doing a pipe run. its looking bloody exellent. He has a slight prob with the lightstorm tho, the big ass giant fan leaves are a little droopy & curling in on the sides a little. I saw the same thing when in my grows but could never fix it. Doesn't seem to affect the plant at all but any advice would be apreceated. the pipe is running under 1000w HPS
The first pic is the problem leaves themseleves.
The 2nd pic is of the pipe grow. the plants are from left to right, Lightstorm & 2 Celtic Stone.
The 3rd pic is a little bit of sexy root porn

Wow! You are looking at a major harvest! Do you think you can take a picture with the HPS off so we can see some color?
About the huge fan leaves falling off, they do it here too but only during flowering... The plant in the first picture of your last set looks especially droopy to me, but I doubt it has anything to do with the strain. From here it looks like a hot growroom or lack of light. But I'm not the best when it comes to diagnostics.

Well chop day was sunday, after harvesting & upending the pot i found out that i had a bad case of root rot going on. It smelt like fermenting vegitable matter. I won't be using mushroom compost again, it holds too much moisture. Here's a couple of pics just before i chopped them. I was going to take the pics outside under natural light but by the time i got to the lightstorm it was dark. The only lighting was the camera flash.
