thanks POP! I love living in this part of the country, the heartland....

I grew the teheran devil hybrid last year but none of them survived.... I can't remember exactly what happened, its in the 08 thread... I still have a few seed, and I am curious... I'll get em out next year to test for ya!

It was tough, and a wet period mid september into october didn't help either!

Get er done... Cannabis growing is an artform, nothing less...

I was lookin at your thread a day or 2 ago hamstring... I'm likely giong to be having to be back starting out close to the plots next year... I may be able to germinate at home, but that would be it... I love your little greenhouse, but the quickly warming days worry me a bit. You'd have to place it so that it could get a little bit of shade to let it cool down some part of the day... Greenhouse growing can be tricky... Its either too cold or too hot sometimes... Definately worth the trouble...

Definately worth the trouble...

Yeah I am lucky with our cool springs and mild early summers.

Not sure if this helps but in my little cold frames I first use a layer of I believe 5 mil clear plastic and then a window screen( buy the roll that is endless instead of precut for window size ). The stainless steal screen provides protection from critters.

This year when I did some late season minis in last week of July I removed the plastic completely (just ripped it off no easy way to remove it in my design yet) leaving just the screening material allowing air from all sides. The only down fall is it lets in rain which could be good or bad but for me I like to control all aspects of the cold frame environment. This may help with the heat or like you mentioned some shade helps with heat and security.

Love your place of residence Pipe and the pics you let us all enjoy I would trade you latitudes for sure, mine is flat with corn on the left soybeans on the right and nothing in middle.
