Also good to remember plants show preflowers early that have grown good light conditions. More developed plants show earlier. Got to catch the wave! They want to be planted early, so they show preflowers in July. Happy plants, happy growers! :smoke:

Indicas make dreams happen
Thanks for the advice, I have learned a lot from experience. With the high density growing method, the earlier the males are removed, the higher the yield!

I'm at 39 N, and this line ripens a little early I think. But I was reading about someone else seeing preflowers this week. I have learned from experience over the years how to accurately determine male preflowers. I have probably made some mistakes because one year, I pulled too many males. Its easy to get fooled. I'm one with the hemp, I use my pinky fingernail and open the male preflower to determine for sure. Male/staminant preflowers have 2 parts which separate, whereas the female preflower is a tube and is a singular structure. You just have to learn from experience how to do it. I eat hemp everyday, I've been blessed with great eyesight! :smoke:
I'll have to try this year to see if I've gotten any better at picking those pre-flowers out and take note if they were indeed male/female and my pre-flower assessment was right. I would probably do the same if I were doing an outdoor SOG like you are. Those girls will really benefit from the extra light penetration and root space!

I'm at 41n so I think mine flower a tad later than your's, not by much though.

Here in God's wonderful creation, everything can be observed more closely, and in new ways. God's righteousness and truth are evident in all, over all, and through all. We are here simply to learn, love, and grow. Getting some rains today and tonight before the heat wave comes in later this week! :smoke:

The devil is trying his best, but his best is never enough! Went out yesterday around dusk when it started to cool off. Pulled another 10-15 males, worked the soil with a hand trowel shovel, and top dressed with a bag of Garden Tone! The plants are up to head height now!

The devil is coming against me though, I had the camera on me while carrying water and I must have bumped it in the case, the lens is messed up. Going to see if I can get it to work or I will have to just buy a new one. Probably due for an update anyway!

Got the water hauled to the plot after dark, and I forgot to bring a watering can. So I'll be watering them in after a little bit and double checking the plants for sex. Most are showing and the females are lining the front and east sides with best light! There are also females scattered throughout the plot, so canopy will close back in over the next couple weeks now that the males are gone! Got the plants sexed at July 20! Thats pretty early! Praise God!

Got the garden watered with 42 gal water and pulled another male. I knew rain was forecast, but you never know what its going to be until it gets here. There is only a quarter to a half inch forecast, so I went ahead and watered them in well. It would be good to get a little rain on them afterward to soak to depth of rooting and work in the fertilizer. When I was leaving I noticed there was a storm on the south north and east sides thundering, but I wasn't getting anything. As I was heading out, about 5-10 miles down the road, it was torrential rain! Ditches were full and it was all I could do to drive! I looked on the radar when I got back and the core of it went around the garden! That would have been too much water and rough on the plants! Praise God!

The garden is in pre-flower stretch phase, fertilized and watered! I don't know how big they're going to get. Its going to be fun to watch! Stay tuned for some pics. I will have to get a camera looks like! It was getting old and was pretty beat up anyway. The new one will probably make it easier to get good shots!

Have a good evening! Stay true! :smoke:

John 14:12-18 NKJV

12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Matthew 16:15-16
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Steel Pulse - Chant A Psalm

Psalm 31 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord a Fortress in Adversity

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

31 In You, O Lord, I [a]put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness.
2 Bow down Your ear to me,
Deliver me speedily;
Be my rock of [b]refuge,
A [c]fortress of defense to save me.
3 For You are my rock and my fortress;
Therefore, for Your name’s sake,
Lead me and guide me.
4 Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
For You are my strength.
5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit;
You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.
6 I have hated those who regard useless idols;
But I trust in the Lord.
7 I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy,
For You have considered my trouble;
You have known my soul in [d]adversities,
8 And have not shut[e] me up into the hand of the enemy;
You have set my feet in a wide place.
9 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble;
My eye wastes away with grief,
Yes, my soul and my [f]body!
10 For my life is spent with grief,
And my years with sighing;
My strength fails because of my iniquity,
And my bones waste away.
11 I am a [g]reproach among all my enemies,
But especially among my neighbors,
And am repulsive to my acquaintances;
Those who see me outside flee from me.
12 I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind;
I am like a [h]broken vessel.
13 For I hear the slander of many;
Fear is on every side;
While they take counsel together against me,
They scheme to take away my life.
14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord;
I say, “You are my God.”
15 My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me.
16 Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me for Your mercies’ sake.
17 Do not let me be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon You;
Let the wicked be ashamed;
Let them be silent in the grave.
18 Let the lying lips be put to silence,
Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
19 Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men!
20 You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a [i]pavilion
From the strife of tongues.
21 Blessed be the Lord,
For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a [j]strong city!
22 For I said in my haste,
“I am cut off from before Your eyes”;
Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications
When I cried out to You.
23 Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints!
For the Lord preserves the faithful,
And fully repays the proud person.
24 Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord.
Psalm 32 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Joy of Forgiveness

A Psalm of David. A [a]Contemplation.

32 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not [b]impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6 For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You
In a time when You may be found;
Surely in a flood of great waters
They shall not come near him.
7 You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;
But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.
11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous;
And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
16 So when Paul’s sister’s son heard of their ambush, he went and entered the barracks and told Paul. 17 Then Paul called one of the centurions to him and said, “Take this young man to the commander, for he has something to tell him.” 18 So he took him and brought him to the commander and said, “Paul the prisoner called me to him and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to say to you.”
19 Then the commander took him by the hand, went aside, and asked privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?”
20 And he said, “The Jews have agreed to ask that you bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire more fully about him. 21 But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them lie in wait for him, men who have bound themselves by an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you.”
22 So the commander let the young man depart, and commanded him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”
Sent to Felix

23 And he called for two centurions, saying, “Prepare two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at the third hour of the night; 24 and provide mounts to set Paul on, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.” 25 He wrote a letter in the following manner:
26 Claudius Lysias,
To the most excellent governor Felix:
Greetings.
27 This man was seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them. Coming with the troops I rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman. 28 And when I wanted to know the reason they accused him, I brought him before their council. 29 I found out that he was accused concerning questions of their law, but had nothing charged against him deserving of death or chains. 30 And when it was told me that [d]the Jews lay in wait for the man, I sent him immediately to you, and also commanded his accusers to state before you the charges against him.
Farewell.
31 Then the soldiers, as they were commanded, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris. 32 The next day they left the horsemen to go on with him, and returned to the barracks. 33 When they came to Caesarea and had delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him. 34 And when the governor had read it, he asked what province he was from. And when he understood that he was from Cilicia, 35 he said, “I will hear you when your accusers also have come.” And he commanded him to be kept in Herod’s [e]Praetorium.

Wow, just checked cocorahs.org and what I drove through was a localized pocket of 3.75 inches! That will put he fear of God in you!

Matthew 10:27-31 NKJV

Jesus Teaches the Fear of God

27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in [h]hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a [i]copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

We had some hard winds locally and there were tree limbs down. I thought it looked like they got missed by the hard part of the storm on the radar, but I wanted to check on them to see if they needed stood up. Plants were up and just fine!

Decided to stay a bit and enjoy! Had a one toker and enjoyed evaluating the branches all coming out! Stretch time, they are getting some good momentum! Pulled more diseased leaves and cut out small lower branches to focus on primary growth above! Yeah!

Culled a couple shaded out stunted growth plants. Lots of females in there! Spreads across the garden very well! Its going to be a nice canopy of green in October! :smoke:

Put down a ring of liquid fence granular before I left! Dogs hunted the area and came to see me at dusk, so it was time go head home. :smoke:

NO pics sorry guys!

man I got out and basically got caught exactly at my guerilla plot on top a mtn. Anybody remember the movie Frankie Avalon Back to the Beach when he's out there and the sky rumbles lol, ok so I'm on top the mtn with a load of water I've carried in lol to water my plants. But I rumbled a few times and I ran under some under brush, but it was bad. I was so hot and the rain and wind got me cold fast, I made it home before the last one come. I've got a few plants i need to stake in my containers, I'm not sure about the guerilla plot, glad to see the rain. lol wished I'd been on the couch and not got caught in the rain

You never know if its going to rain very much so you water anyway. I was going to say we did get some water, but it was probably only a half inch or less it looked like, so it was good, the fertilizer didn't get washed away!

Thats a ride, I like being out in the rain usually, its like of neat, but the loud thunderstorms make you want to run and hide. Thanks for sharing! Be careful out there! Probably won't have to carry too much water in a week or so!

All is well at Pipeline Freedom Gardens! I'm just taking a break and unplugging from electronic distractions for a couple weeks. I will be back to chat periodically, but I have made the decision to reduce my use of electronics to help enhance my real-world life. Sleep is nice, and I have more time to get things done.

I will hopefully get a camera before harvest! Plants were top dressed and felt the burn again late July. I watered with 20 gallons the evening i saw they were hurting again, then applied another 50 gal the next day! They responded and are growing great! We got about 0.75 inche rain a few days later, and then I watered last weekend when they were starting to dry out. The plants are on the move and are just beginning to pollinate this week. Plants are about 6-7 ft tall now! The 2 pollination males will be culled in the next few days.

Just a little update for my friends! Have a good August! Will be back around when I have some time! Enjoy! :smoke:

Pulled the 2 pollination males yesterday! They are awesome DC dominant very similar phenotype males. I would think they are offspring from the champion male used in 2018! Pollination went well and seeing lots of pistils turning red from being pollinated! Love the sativa candy spice plants! Need to get a camera on it this year! Sorry guys!

Went ahead and worked all the soil about a 1/2 inch deep with a hand shovel to break up the crust and top dressed with a slightly above the recommended rate of Garden Tone, but I did not work it into the soil. Hopefully it won't burn this time. Watered it in slowly with 40-50 gal water.

Plants are really responding to watering and sunshine. Weather is going to be more sun and warm looks like, so should see some fast flower and seed production for August! 3-4 of them are 8 ft tall now! The other plants are arould 5-6 ft! Canopy is complete with excellent spacing! :smoke:

Hey buddy was gonna check in to see if your doing ok????, I got to missing you and figured I'd see how it's going?? It's kinda them hurry-up and wait kinda days of summer. It's been a lot drier and sunny my way, which is great for my containers, and harder on the guerilla plot. I'll take the sun over the rain anyday!!! Good luck friend

I know you're itching for some shots, and there's a good reason! :smoke:

Went out yesterday to top dress with Garden Tone and watered with about 50 gallons. It was perfect because the soil was 1 wk dry and had cracks to allow the fertilizer to integrate. I top dressed like this about Aug 10 and it was fine, so I think we are good on the leaf burn situation. I had to adjust the way I used Garden Tone since they changed the fertilizer.

Had 1 small moldy flower last week and its good smoke already! Seeing a little Powdery Mildew but very healthy other than that. A few yellow leaves but not too bad. I think the sativas are more needy. They seem to be fragile plants.

One of the sativas is super resinous, but its the one that got one main branch broken off, so it may be a stress reaction to increase trichome production. Its a candy smelling winner anyway. Another sativa leaning smells like pineapple. Lots of spicy indicas in there to! Interesting lot this year from indicas with 3 finger wide leaflets to sativas with 1 inch wide leaflets producing indica-like flowers.

Stay tuned guys! I worked hard watering them in. We have heat for a week or 2 with above average moisture then it is forecast to possibly get dry for ripening! :smoke:
