Philly Thanks for the info.I have been checking online and I can only find smaller ones,like 10#.The can 50 has 42# of carbon.Where did you guys get them from?I like Hydrofarm because I can just go get it,no shipping,but if I am going to spend the money,I want the best.Amsterdam was great.I think about going back everyday.It's not that the weed is that great or anything.It is the freedom.Freedom to be a smoker and not worry.Nothing better than going out to eat,ordering dinner then rolling a joint waiting for your food to come.Sitting at a bar drinking and smoking.Man,I miss it.Now I'm depreesed.I better go smoke that last chunk of hash I've been saving.

I got mine from a buddy who was hawking a few of them, but the website that has links and phone #'s to distributors is www.phatfilter.com.au they are worth the extra effort though.

Great point about Amsterdam bro the freedom the freedom the freedom, I have never been but because of your assessment of the CULTURE I would like to travel, never really thought about the Dam in terms of relaxing feeling free while eating and smoking and imagined non paranoid bliss only in terms of critiquing/criticizing their herb. Previously I had not wanted to go to the Dam because a few buddies that went a few times to Cups were unimpressed with the herb, they went on search of the greatest herb on earth, . . . . but these are profiteers not just personal grow smokers so that does change the observation point. I knew about smoking openly in the Cafe's in the Dam but I never really contemplated the feeling, the thought that the feeling of freedom of smoking surpasses almost smoking itself! thanks bro for truly opening my mind. Now I really need to get to the Dam, after all their is more to our marijuana culture besides trying to find better herb than we already have/get I guess it is time for some maturity on my part.

Philly Yea,most of the pot was kiefed it looked like but the variety is something else.People allways want the strongest pot,but when you go to a bar do you order grain or 151.Not me,I want to enjoy the ride getting there.Plus there is the all the different ice-o-later hashes.I think things are changing there as well.On july 1,a smoking ban goes into effect.Who knows what this means.I think I am going to try for a trip before then.Any interest?

ive heard good things about phat flilters
i use DIY filters i found somewhere around here.
they are pretty easy to make.
i'll tell ya what filters not to buy, odorsoks.
that was a 1 and done thing for me.
they are too good to be true, pure shit.

there's alot of good things happening here for alot of good people.
i feel like we are almost waking up from a winter hibernation.
altho there is one bear who has been busy all winter w/ no time for a long rest
as spring and summer rool thru, i feel like we can make a huge impression on the rest of this site, as well as the whole mj community.

as far as can filters go, i've used one of the can brand ones. it worked just fine, as long as its wrapped in plastic wrap when you get it, so you know its new/unused. used it with a vortex. it covered up one of my first grows, a couple girls and one was really skunky (turned out being weak smoke. very mild buzz. lol.) the can lasted a very long time. it probably still has some scrubbing bubbles after a year of use. experimenting with other odor control these last grows.

pseudo- great pix, and a nice harvest! i love that soaring sativa uplifting dreamy high, and i know it well.
after a hit or two, i feel like i'm on top of a grassy mountain, with warm sun on my face, and a nice cool
breeze blowing on by. just dreaming and floating. i can see the room with a hazey smokey appearance, but
my mind is just elsewhere.

I forgot to mention, the Phat filters last longer than any I've ever come across. The one I have now has been used for about 18 months now, and I'm just now starting to pick up a feint odor. Even though they cost more, you don't have to buy them as often, so they really aren't anymore in the long run.

ok well. it's getting pretty cheesey in here, and i don't have any of it ;(

but what i do have is my clone grow of an nyc bag seed, which came from some devastating smoke. still waiting for someone with true piff to id it. she comes with and incredible soaring and uplifting dreamy 'out of it' high. face numbness, super body relaxation, and tingling included. lol. dried smoke has a unique odor, and i haven't smelled it on any other herb, but this light green kind.

today is true day 44 from light flip. she pretty much topped out at 27.5 inches, and her upward growth has slowed to nothing. she went into flower at 5.5 inches tall, with 1 week of veg previous. she is very slow to flower in the beginning. i'm planning to take her to 80-84 days this time (usually chop 70-77).

most of the initial larger indica like fan leaves have been sucked up for energy. she is taking on a more sativa appearance as days progress. if you look closely you can see how her buds form at exact intervals on the nodes, and grow straight up horizontally on one mini branch that comes out of the node. they stay spaced and won't cover or wrap around the main stem.

her odor is initially light, but builds with time, odor control is needed. when roughed up, or you pluck dead leaves, she lets out a pungent skunk smell. the smell is intoxicating, and can give you a light buzz. when the stem is rubbed, your fingers will smell minty/vicks vapor rub like, with a faint skunkish citrus/lemon. you can't stop sniffing your fingers after that

it doesn't look like some of you guys super grows, and i'm sure most of you can take her to her limit much better then i can. lol.

but remember, im growing unconventionally with fluros, no ventilation, no exhaust, no air movement (not even a desk fan), nothing. silent. only ozone as odor control,which breaks down into oxygen, so thats where shes getting her air from i guess, and with me opening the closet door occasionally.

she supports herself in this naturally grown form with strong stems, without any intervention, staking, or additional nutrients. she takes lots of abuse from me, but still seems to chug along in this very harsh environment. she's pretty tough!

thanks vint, yes she does bulk. the same look as now as far as bud positions, just much fatter, no where near baseball bat though. she never will cover/hide the main stem, it's visible to the end. it usually happens around day 57-60ish, or in the next couple weeks. pretty much all those immature green calyx/pistils puff up to big hershey kisses giving it a kinda scary mangled look. then the trichs will start to rise up off the calyxs and look like mushrooms. but still nothing like i've seen on here. she is very slow to start, but all of a sudden bulks when shes about to die.

most of you guys would of probably trashed this girl from seed, i almost did, and i thought it was male at first (the 1st noticed calyx was huge almost like a male ball before it extends and hangs on its mini stem). i didn't see 1 pistil until it was 27 days into 12/12. and that was with a couple weeks veg prior! took forever to finish 90+ or more over that 27 days (1st pistil). clone goes way faster. 75-85 from flip, no matter what the size when flipped. i just flip it when its 5.5 inches because it gets to 27.5. if you go to 12 inches, she'd probably wind up being close to 4 ft or more and yield more. she doesn't produce that much, at 27.5 inches you might get between 3/4oz-1 oz dried with my unconventional harsh methods. but for me its truely one 1 hitter hits at a time weed. a whole bowl and i would be lost with a blank stare and maybe some drool coming out of my mouth, lol. feels like a nitrous oxide high at that level of a session. i don't smoke as much as most of you guys though. hit or two a night. dream for a bit, de-stress, then bed. maybe harder hitting it on the weekends if the oppotunity arises

this is the first time someone has gifted me seeds
it sure is wonderful feeling to grow them out
and smoke the end product
there are alot of things i am thinking/feeling

NIce looking plant xoox I had some piff from queens not to long ago and it was damn goood...........I will deff post some pics of it the next time I grab some....had me lit for about 3 to 4hrs....no seeds in it though.....lol

it sure is a great high from this one. to me anyway. hard to put into words. my buds are always airy because of the fluro, but this is pic of a small one from a previous run (same clone), didn't really trim it very well. but even the blade leaves are potent, it's all ground up into the mix. they just powderize when you squeeze em. this was taken at hmm, day 70+1 week dry i think. they are about 2.5-3 inch x 2.5-3 inch. next one i'll trim better and closer to the calyxs



one thing to note. her buds aren't super dense and fat when on the plant, but whats good is that after they dry, they really don't shrink that much.
