Didn't have the balls to lock up my scissors...but I did move them to a different room.

Took 4 cuttings of the plant on the left just to get a headstart in case it's a female. The other cuttings are from the Yunnan pheno taken during week 5.

She's yellowing a little 3 days into the flush and I will take a sample bud on day 53!

OE: 45 days blooming.

OE: 45 days blooming.

Not much changes in size but the buds are now hardening a lot, and buds are covering themselves with cristals day by day, not the usual sugar cristals type but more like a greasy layer covering the buds.
Very attractive plant.
At first I thought she was gonna take ten weeks to mature but it seems she is more a nine weeker lady.
PS: the pic does not show but this lady is around 4 feet wide. Big girl!

Nice plants SS!
Are you calming down with the scissors?

That is a GREAT Orient Express pheno, sativa dominant with massive branching and yield and little leaf in the flower, but fast flowering and excellent performance indoors. Im forward to know more about the aroma, taste and effect after curing! Congrats in the great work maxi!! ;)

Hi everyone,

it wasn't much noticable under the artificial lights, this is the reason why I removed a bottom bud from the plant today to check under a different lighting and I was glad to make sure the plant had pink and purple notes.
Probably vietnam black influences. Looks beautiful.

High maxibiogreen! Loving the balance of traits of your Orient Express female!
No doubt, the colors come from the Vietnam Black genetics.

How many days into 12/12 ? It may look mature but you are growing this strain perfectly, overmaturing her is the way to get the max from your orient express female at this point, depending on what you are looking for .... if you prefer the clearest social high then dont delay harvest too much but being the plant so healthy, she's going to produce lots of resins in the next days, orient express is not only a high yielding strain, when correctly grown and matured she produces the best resins and stronger rotten aromas in the phase you are right now (keep temps around 20ºC or just a bit higher). Lot of growers are missing this final quality of this strain just to harvest a few days earlier, maybe it looks fat and ready but still has lots to offer if you overmature a bit more. Especially if we are talking about sativa influenced phenos.

Best wishes SuperStone for the new round :) Im glad you are exploring more females, the one in the center of your second pic has the typical serrated Vietnam Black leaf so will probably show more sativa traits in flowering time, the one in the front of your third pic is the typical chinese pheno in leaf and probably will be a more indica fast finisher. Keep us updated!

Now lunch time :smoke: Wish you all have a great start of week.

Hi Dubi,

I have a saying; "when you think it s ready wait one more week"

The girl is now blooming since 52-53 days,,, not the blooming time I m use to cos normally "my girls take much longer to come", anyhow I believe she ll be soon ready. At the very first I was expecting something like 10 to 11 weeks then a nine weeker girl. At he end she ll need around 8 weeks and I do not believe she will ask for more to be according herself to my taste.
Let's wait and see.

All the best to every OE grower and everyother one also.:ying:

Ended up picking my pheno on day 61 with mostly cloudy trichs. For a 16" tall plant,it looks like it should yield well.It has some interesting odors about it:faint sour, orange until you squeeze a bud then it's full on dank...I like it!

Took a sample bud last week and I've been toking on it for the past few days.It tastes like creamy orange on the inhale but adds a sour, fuelly note on the exhale. This pheno does not have any organic humus aroma to it at all but I have 2 phenos in the latest run that do.

I find the high to be strong as well.4 hits will give you a relaxing yet active buzz.It goes right to my eyes and cheekbones and puts me into a jovial state.I find it to be a little trippy as it enhances audio...makes me laugh my balls off listening to birds right before sunset. It leaves you in a happy mood...I even get a headrush from it.

Can't wait to see what lays ahead on my OE journey.

...Now if I could only get a toke off Max's pheno.I really like that one.

It's a shame we don't live closer to each other SS because I would have been happy to give you a full budded branch and a cut from my girl.
Be sure you ll find a similar pheno or even better from the seeds you sowed last. Ace seeds seems to be full of nice surprises.

Paulo,, thx for the kind words but I did not do much,, I just sowed the seeds, nutrished my soil , the soil nutrished the plant and the plant will soon "nutrish" me. Thx to luis,, he is the one who did this nice cross and a big thx to mother nature who allowed it all.
