Thank you guys for the comments. :)

Thanks so much for this post. the pic speaks a thousand words.. :peacock:
I have a bigger box now at about *85cm height so i`ll be using that.
Gonna do a seed sog too, with some afghan and berry bomb seeds in 500ml cups.. It looks like I`ll need another 20w in there ...
What strains did you grow? Any veg time? I thought about vegging for 3-4 weeks and cut them down as necessary before flipping (saw this in an old micro sog thread)
Every grow some new strains, variety is the spice of life :) And no veg time at all - 11/13 straight from the seed.

Simplicity is the Utmost Sophistication…lovely solution if yield is enough for one needs, lovely pic!

I bet that watt figure is not random at all? That's 44watts per sq feet if I'm not too stoned …

How much plants going on at the same time (guess on different phases)? What's your method key points? coco?
Exactly there is 78W in 1.61 sqft - which is about 48W/sqft. I even add 7W of some deep red 660nm when flowering starts so its even more of W/sqft. SILs are 4000K so they have plenty of blue.

21 seeds from the start which leaves me with 10-15 nice females.

Medium I use is straight organic dirt with some perlite added. Nutrients are simple NPK 6-8-8 from the start of the 4th week with some sulphate of potash added in the soil. Every watering straight tap water + nutes until the last 3 weeks of flowering when I use only water.

I tried to grow pure organic but the pots are too small and plants lack proper food. Coco will give even better yields but it should require watering more frequently.

What's the kelvin of those lights on the pics?

3000 / 5000k. I buy my bulbs at costco (10 packs of 14w for roughly 30$) so whatever colors are available is what I end up with. I've run all 3000k (bigger leaves, bigger buds, more stretch, less frost) and all 5000k (smaller leaves, smaller buds, less stretch, more frost) and I like a split lighting setup better, seems to be the happy medium.

In most personal micro setups, 4000k+ is probably preferable as it keeps the plants tighter as space is usually the primary concern. If you're running a tall tent, I'd lean more toward the 2700-3000k side for more size.

I really like the extra thought that Repuk put into his lights, a even mix of 2700 / 5000 / 6500, should round out the lighting spectrum even more than mine.

My purp at 9.5 week chop. Total yield of the OG was 120 grams.

The 4000k are so balanced in spectrum, and perform best lumen per watt i believe.
I went with some 2700k for now because my Lush Led fixture has plenty of blue\uv. If i had to do it from scratch.. I'd probably do 2700k/4000k with some agromax UV t5s or something.

I have the 7 socket splitters and my first run I flowered with 4 2700k and 3 5000k bulbs and got great results. Good weight and super frosty. This run I'm doing 5 2700k and 2 5000k and I am now flowering on 11/13 light cycle and so far the buds r looking fat and frosty and r coming up on week 4. Well send some pics when I can.

Great pics Terpene. It looks like you run some great genetics. I love the Star Wars background in your grow chamber too lol

I'm going to be doing some LED growing this fall when I get the new property together enough that I can do so. Hopefully I'll have some good genes to work with in the near future here. I'm building my arrays out of COBs, but its nice to know such good work can be done with screw-in lamps. I may have to throw some of those in my mom chamber once I get one set up. I'm planning to grow the mom plants a bit on the faster side so I can take large air-layer clones and keep the flowering space packed.

What kind of grams per watt are others getting? I just finished a problematic grow awhile back (unstable F1 blueberry cross genetics, burned the shit out of them, too crowded, first time doing soil-less, first grow in years). I had a mix of 100 watt "equivalent") brands and temps of bulbs with diffuses removed (whatever was on sale) - 40 bulbs total. I grew 8 plants in a 5'X4' area. I used a staggered harvest technique, taking all the main colas first because it was a ridiculous jungle in there.

My total wattage was just under 600 (mix of 14, 14.5, 15 watt) and the meticulously manicured, dried, cured bud came in at a weight of 718 grams, along with 9 grams of okay bubble hash, and 23 grams of very nice "almost full-melt" premium bubble hash. Even with all the problems, I'll call this a success with a little better than 1.2 grams/watt.

My next grow will be 4 white widow from feminized seeds in a real grow tent (5' X 5') with the same lighting. I'll veg and LST until the plants fill the area. We'll see how it goes, but it shouldn't be too hard to beat my first try with these lights.

Curious... what strain is that? Looks very sativa-ish, but surprised they're so compact especially at (or near) the end of stretch! Send me a bud when you're done for evaluation purposes. Haha!

Front right is BooBerryKush, gifted a long time ago from dank.frank at Stank Bros. The other three are bagseed--front left is 'white cookies' and back row is 'purple haze.' These are all clones--the moms got chopped about a week ago at 9 weeks of 12/12. I'd share a bud but I'm just starting to try some early samples. Don't want to send you any schwag.

Hastings: SILs provide the best GPW even if calculated on the reall watts drawn (killawatt etc), not so optimal grows are usually >1GPW, while on smooth ones I got 1.6GPW.

I'm sure you'll destroy your record

Tip: watch out for canopy distance, it can be the difference between an OK grow, and a impressive one.

Agreed that anyone with a mildly green thumb is going to get 0.85-1gpw from screw in LEDs.

As an example, my friend is just getting started again and I told him to expect 1gpw no matter what line he runs as its my untopped, untrained, "seed of green" average baseline. With any training at all, I expect 1.2gpw or I start doubting myself

Latest SIL crop: Panama.

Smells/Tastes to fizzy lemon with incense hint... :yummy:

Love the flower structure, reminds me of an inverted grapefruit bunch of foxtails...

Well overripe too... but not a single amber trich.

Compared to the neighbor Malawi, grown under 275W of HPS, SILs buds are bigger but softer, and seem to shrink more after drying. Stronger scent too.
