Great work as usual Blynx and now way more efficient with the LEDs. Go to your local grocery store and find high tech growlights (LED lights for home lighting), or for sure at a hardware store. It just keeps getting easier.

Wait I got unlazy and looked through the tread and found it out myself. Lol. They are 60 watt bulbs correct? God bless.

They are 10w LED bulbs for a total of 60w (6 x 10w) in the cab.

So I have this new cab I made that has 90w (4 x 22.5w) of recessed LED lighting.

While I didn't have any complaints about the first run, I think I can do better.

I'm one of those people that would rather run 2 x 23w CFLs than 1 x 46w CFL, and I am liking these 10w LED bulbs, so I decided to change up the lighting in the new cab.

Let's remove the light bar that is in there.

I made a new fixture that is going to hold 8 lights.

This next round will have more lights (8), but less wattage.

This round the cab will be running 80w (8 x 10w) of LED lights vs 90w (4 x 22.5w) of LED lights last round.

Yes I am still vegging under daylight CFLS lol.

She will be flowered under LEDs.

Vegging under LEDs is soooo much better than vegging under CFLs!

I just added two more 8.5w LEDs to my micro veg section. The 2x2 area is now flowering bright at 51 watts.

How close can you get the LEDs to the plant canopy? ~3inches

I routinely let them get to an inch off the bulb. The only downside I see is that they start to block the light for the other plants. If I was setting up a scrog screen, I'd aim for 6 inches below the lights and let them grow up to 2-3 inches from the bulbs for better light distribution.

Well I'll be damned.

I will sub out my 3 55w PL L's to the screw in led @10w x 12,
3 rows of 4 bulbs each.

Of coarse it won't make me a better grower, but at least I'll
kill my plants more efficiently.

I'll redo the veg area first.

Sorry if I missed these already but I had some LEDs I got from Costco a while back, decided to pop the cover off them to help add a pic from a different "design"... I don't have a light meter to test them, but they are extremely bright with the cover taken off, and have a nice heatsink for the base. Was about $30 for a 6 pack if I remember right
