but first let me again say that, I know where I am
and I know how evreyone feels about the High Times Magazine and Cannabis Cup in november. I agree with many of the criticisims, but still enjoy Amsterdam in November for a variety of reasons.
Let me also say everyone should support ICMag because this is a great place with people who really love and care about the plant, thus the strong anti HT feelings...! but certainly some of you STILL will be going to Amsterdam when the cup is going on
that being said, lets talk about EVERYTHING going on this year in November?
There is something called Dirty Dutch going on November 24th Organisator: ID&T Club BV - Locatie: Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam
Also the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) starts on November 22nd in Amsterdam, check out their website for more info idfa.nl
There is another film festival called the Shadow Festival - focusing on other documentaries somewhat overshadowed in the other film fest.
and also something called the Crossing Border Festival which I still don't fully understand...
last but not least, of course is the HIGH TIMES CANNABIS CUP Nov 18-22nd
they sell tickets... err I mean judges passes... whatever... cost is like around 200. Some think its worth is for the events and getting together with so many like minded people, but if your planning on getting free bud or anything with your pass... don;t count on getting much of anything other than souvenires and what have you. STILL If your going to buy a judges pass and go to the cup then you may want to know more about what is going on, OR you may KNOW more about what is going on and then you should post it here!

A Cannabis Cup poster in the window identifies these buses. Coffeeshop shuttles pick-up at the PowerZone and take judges to the participating shops. Expo busses only service the Expo. Both shuttles are for judges only.
4:20 PM Opening Ceremonies and announcement of the top three strains as selected by the VIP judges, PowerZone. Open to judges, sponsors and exhibitors.

The 20th Cannabis Cup will feature the inductions of Cheech and Chong into the Counterculture Hall of Fame. A number of pot comedians will be performing at the event. The Expo will be held at the Powerzone, one of Amsterdam's largest and most comfortable night clubs (capacity 3,000 people). The Powerzone is located near Amstel Station. The closest 5-star hotel is the Okura.Opening Ceremonies will be held on Sunday, November 18 at the Powerzone. The Awards Show will be held Thursday, November 22 at the Melkweg. Bands and other performers will be announced soon.Attendees should book tickets soon as this looks like it will be an early sell-out.

Starting on Monday, you can buy a three day pass to the expo for one quarter of the judges pass. But it won't get you into the concerts at the Melkweg, or the Awards Show on Thursday at the PowerZone.
INFO ABOUT REGULAR JUDGES PASSES:The 2007 Cannabis Cup judge's pass includes the right to cast your vote for the world's best entry, admission to all Cannabis Cup events, parties and live music shows as well as complimentary coffee shop shuttles.
