Wow. Anyone catch the Patriots and Raiders? Darn it.
This isnt really a taco but it's taco bell's 7 layer nacho fries, does that count?
They were pretty good fwiw, had beans, ground beef, shredded cheese, nacho cheese, guac, sour cream, creamy jalapeno sauce (that's the 7 layers). They were $3 each on the app (3.89 otherwise) but kind of undersized even at that price. Blame shrinkflation.
Supposedly Taco John came up with the name 'Taco Tuesday' as a marketing gimmick, i think recently lebron james tried to trademark that name but was rejected by the US patent office.
That seems like a good recipe for fish tacos, Pop. So it's mayo and oil and vinegar in the slaw?
I'd probably use the frozen fish filets that i reheat in the oven or air fryer, but good ones like the beer battered ones, not fishsticks, although that could work too i guess.
Bears made a game of it, at least they beat the 9pt spread, losing by only 5. Justin fields had some incredible runs like he's been doing this year, became the 3rd QB to break 1k yds rushing (lamar jackson and michael vick the other 2). He was overshadowed by jalen hurts who had 3 rush TDs and is now 2nd in the league in rush TDs, behind jamaal williams of detroit.
That Patriots game was weird. Bad offensive coaching by matt patricia, why belichick made his former Def coordinator his new Off coordinator is puzzling, usually he doesnt make mistakes like that. Also some bad referee calls against the patriots, and then that last play where it was a tie score and could have gone into overtime and they just gave the game away on a terrible lateral it was just 'ugh'. I had a bet on the patriots too, could have cashed out with a little profit when it looked like they were going to win but then that mess happened. Usually a belichick team is coached better than that, is more disciplined than that.
I agree with Hawk, tonite should be a pretty decent game, get to see Baker again, see him vs aaron rodgers who hasnt had a great season so far but has a couple emerging rookie WRs (christian watson, romeo doubs). And i guess the packers still have a hope of reaching the playoffs, if they run the table they'll be 9-8. And maybe the rams want to see if baker could be their backup next year, if stafford keeps getting hurt they'll want a serviceable backup, not sure if baker sees himself as a backup but could be the best thing for his career in the long run.

Yeah I guess that's what cali fries are.gonna try for sure.finally tried uncle bill's pizza.i gotta say I'm disappointed.i don't know if it's an Iowan or davenport thing but I ordered a garden pizza with extra sauce and they literally smother a lb of ground meat on the bottom with no sauce.it was OK but not what I expected.

You can actually get some decent quality food that comes frozen, like beer battered cod or onion rings, tempura shrimp, etc. The cod would be good for fish tacos, but like Pop said use fish sticks only if youre desperate and lazy. Even then, i would only use quality fish sticks, the less processed the better.
Hippy, you can make a taco out of anything, bbq, seafood, etc. Just like you can make a sandwich out of anything. Like Hawk said, some decent quality fish and some sort of lightly pickled slaw on a tortilla, with your sauces of choice (creamy and/or spicy) and it might become a regular on your table, depending on if you like fish or not.

Maybe they mean ‘dragged through the garden’ like with Chicago hot dogs and put all the veggies on top? Around Chicago they would call that ‘the special’ or even ‘chicago special’ or something like that.
So they cut it in strips, and was the crust pretty chewy? Maybe a little nutty flavor? They use malt in their pizza dough, I guess having that extra sugar in the dough increases the yeast action/increase the amount of rise. Maybe you need to order it a few more times and then it’ll grow on you.
I missed most of the game last night but sounds like I didn’t miss much. I guess baker couldn’t get anything going even though he had a whole week to prepare. Like pop said, without adequate blocking he’s not a good scrambler or throwing on the move, he barely had 100yds passing last night. I had a bet on skowronek over 30 pass yds, he caught one ball for 3 yds lol.
